C-cause I-I'm not actually spea-you know what never mind, um Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this and um...Hope you're enjoying it so far! Um this chapter will be MUCH shorter than usual and that is because of Finals and I can barely get time to type, so I will be splitting this into two parts...maybe three, but as soon as Finals are out of the way I'll back in RWBY mode. (Volume 2) Part 4: Raiden's Past/ An Unknown Enemy

Raiden(Telepathically):"...You'll find out soon enough" You just...barely get the chance to notice it but...entire area changed for just a split second...but just long enough for you to notice the ground change to a almost glassy dark color...and the sky to be blood red...and Raiden's flame flickers purple

You back away from him as his flame returns to his new blue color

You:"...What was that?" You breathe shakily and Raiden sighs as he looks at you

Raiden:"That's not important at the moment, what matters now is getting evidence for Torchwick's plan." You're not convinced, you weren't about to let this go by.

You:"No. There is something you are not telling me, Raiden. The man in the cloak from that fight back at the docks wasn't the first time you've seen him, haven't you?" Raiden's expression turns to one of slight regret

Raiden:"...You've seen him too, haven't you?" You are a bit stunned by that question

You:"Y-yeah..." you manage to say

Raiden:"Where have you seen him exactly."

You:"...You know those night terrors I've been having?" Raiden places his hands on his head as he breathes out steadily.

Raiden:"That's where you see him?" You nod slowly and notice in the area of Raiden's memories is showing the you from the past is coughing weakly. "What does he do in these dreams of yours?"

You:"He..." You stop as your heart becomes heavy "Kills....All of us...Weiss, Blake, Yang, ...Ruby, and you...And I watch...not able to do a thing...Do you know who this guy is?" Raiden shakes his head slowly before speaking

Raiden:"Nothing is known about him, only that he has the blood of Serpent in him and that he's in league with...some very evil people."

You:"What 'evil people'?" Raiden shrugs, you wonder how exactly he has this information. "How do you know this?"

Raiden:"...Watch the memories playing before you." You look to see that the past Raiden has placed his old blue jacket on you, to keep the past you warm, you look down at the jacket you have on now... it is in fact Raiden's old jacket that you always wear. Even the small tear on the bottom of the Jacket is still there up to this day...mostly because you and Raiden don't know how to sew.

You(Past):"T-thank you..." the past you says while still shivering, the past you lays on his side before closing his eyes and sleeps.

Raiden(Sign):"Good night, bro..." You can hear Raiden's thoughts at the moment

(Remember that Raiden was still a mute at this time)

Raiden(Mind):"He can't survive like this..." Raiden hears voices in the alleyway, afraid that it might be a gang, he gets up slowly from the ground and goes to the edge of the alleyway and sees some men with suits gathering by a Dust shop.

The past Raiden steps out of the alleyway and in front of the men. One of the men steps out and see that it's an all too familiar face, Roman Torchwick. Though Torchwick looks younger and does not have his hat.

Roman:"Beat it, kid, we're doing something that doesn't concern you." Raiden tries speaking but just grumbles and points to his throat and motions that he can't speak. Roman sighs as he looks at one of his men and motions for him to come forward. The man who came forward handed Torchwick his scroll and Torchwick gives it to Raiden. Raiden takes it and starts typing

Raiden(Typing):"I could ask the same about you." The Raiden from the past sees that the rest of the men are carrying weapons.

Raiden(Past):"...What are those weapons for?" Raiden tries to approach them, but he stops Roman points his cane at him

Roman:"Again, something that doesn't concern you, now scram, I have no problem in hurting a kid." Raiden's eye starts flowing with flames as he glares at Roman, Roman clicks his tongue. "Warned ya, kid." He fires it directly at him, Raiden phases right through it as his blood-red particles circle around him.

Raiden(Typing):"Did...you just try to kill me?" Raiden moves to the front of the Dust shop.

Roman motions for his men to fire at him, they all aim at him and repeatedly fire. Raiden phase dashes to the side and the bullets hits the glass of the store shattering it. The alarms go off and Roman looks angrily at him but he motions his men to enter the store and starts collecting dust from inside. Roman looks at Raiden and looks at him curiously

Roman:"Though I was not expecting that...What was that you did just now?"

Raiden(Typing):"Wouldn't you like to know?"

Roman:"Yeah...that's why I asked...anyways looking at your old ragged clothing and bad stench I bet you could use a little bit of this, right?" Roman puts his hand into his coat pocket and takes out a bunch of Lien, almost 500 in his hand. "Now this could be yours and much more, but only if you are willing to use those...skills you have for our cause."

Raiden(Typing):"Why? To become a criminal like you?"

Roman:"No, no not for that...for him." He points his cane past Raiden and directly points it at the you from the past, sleeping soundly, which is quite surprising considering the small gunfire that occurred just at the moment. You hear sirens coming from the distance and see that Raiden from the past is looking at the direction where the sirens are coming from. "Well the clock's ticking, now, we both know that kid ain't gonna make it without some proper care and attention. And I can surely say that a small little guy like you isn't going to be enough for him. Let's say we give him over to Social Services, do you honestly think he'll be better off there?" The sounds of sirens grows. And the Raiden from the past seems to be doubting himself "He'll be isolated there, he'll be far from you, and eventually a family may just pick HIM out but not you, and he'll never see you again...Now, if you help me, well you just might be able to take care of him...but only if you help. Because you see we are in the middle of trying to build a...revolution of a sort and need as many people as possible to do it, can't be picky here." Raiden is absolutely silent in the growing sound of the sirens, the distant red and blue lights fill up the street. After a bit of thought...Raiden looks up

Raiden(Past):"What do I need to do..." Raiden looks disgusted

Roman:"That's the spirit. Now using your fancy eye thing we need you to haul over as much Dust as you can over to that Atlesian Air-ship up on that roof." He points to the roof of a building behind him, which he just now noticed."We would have much more time to do that but...well that was your fault. So I'd hop to it." Roman begins to walk away from the shop and towards the building with the Airship...After Raiden's eye flaring with anger, he warps to the alleyway where the you from the past is.

Raiden(Past:In mind):"Sorry, but I have to do this." Raiden slowly picks you up, managing to not wake you up and warp you over to another alley that's far from the Dust shop. As Raiden warps back he sees that the Sirens are much closer now, so without thinking Raiden begins warping to and from the Dust shop carrying handfuls of Dust Vials, Crystals, and every other magical essence in the store. It wasn't long before the store was empty and Roman smiles down at him as he's on the roof of the building now.

Roman:"Wow, that's some talent you've got there." Roman takes out the Lien that he had in his coat pocket and tosses it to Raiden. "Keep it up, and there will be more where that came from. Now get in the Airship." The side doors of the ship slide open as the rest of the crew with Torchwick gets in.

Raiden from the past looks at Roman confused. Roman sighs

Roman:"Use that brain of yours, if they find the cops find you here then they'll pointing their fingers at you. Also if you want more Lien from us then you're gonna have to figure out as to where we operate at." Raiden looks down from the roof to see that the police have arrived at the Dust shop. Raiden, after a bit of hesitation, gets in the airship as it takes off. The doors of the airship close and after a while of flying, Raiden finally speaks

Raiden(Past):"Where are we going?" Roman looks back surprised to hear Raiden talk

Roman:"So, you can speak? Well that's...great...Anyways we are going to an abandoned Factory that's been repurposed for our needs. We'll be there shortly. Then we can properly get you in our ranks."

Raiden looks down...He realizes what he's gotten himself into...you watch as Raiden from the past is looking around at the rest of the people on the airship. He seems uneasy, then again just committing a major crime for the first time would unease anybody...You see that the ship is finally lowering down and Roman has gotten out a cigar but hasn't lighten it just yet. As the ship lands, the doors slide opens and the rest of the men get out and start unloading the cargo they've stolen. As Raiden looks around he sees that there are dozens of them. And not just the average, random thugs off the streets, they seem organized, and Torchwick is the head of all of it. Raiden gets off slowly but Torchwick grabs his shoulder and forces him to walk with him

Roman:"So, what's your name, flame?" Raiden looks around at the giant shipments, wondering that just one of these giant crates would set Raiden and (F) for life.

Raiden(Typing):"Raiden, and judging by your outfit and massive underground army then I guess you must be Torchwick."

Roman:"I see my reputation precedes me. Well Raiden allow me to show you what you'll be doing here exactly." They enter the abandoned facility (which is the one you are in now) and see that there are massive crates and boxes all filled with Dust. The entire place must cost a fortune... "As for now we are being contacted by an rather generous person only going by the name of Autumn, now though we don't know why,but they've been sending us massive amounts of Lien for shipments of Dust,crystals, and anything magical. Now the only reason why they said is for a 'revolution' which I honestly don't care for."

Raiden(Typing):"So...where do I come in?" Raiden notices a girl with....a very weird hair color, one side being a bright pink color, and the other a dark brown color, as he gets closer, he sees that her eyes are also different colors they were also pink and brown, sometimes when she blinked the eye colors swapped sides..."Who is she?"

Roman:"You've got to learn to not ask so many questions, kid. One, you do what I want you to do or second in command when I don't feel like it and that is...right, her, now we've got two mutes here... Come here Neo." The girl now known as Neo nods as she picks up an umbrella and walks over to them. "This is..." He snaps his fingers, trying to remember "Ray?"

Raiden(Typing):"Raiden..."

Roman:"Right, Rainer. Now I don't care where you assign him to but he does show some promise. Care to demonstrate?" Raiden sighs as his eye courses with flames and warps to the top of a far away crate before warping back. "See what I mean?"

Neo stares at Raiden, seems like she's trying to determine whether he is good enough or not. After walking around Raiden just looking at him...which made Raiden feel awkward, Neo nods and smiles just a little at Torchwick.

Roman:"Now then, I don't care what you decide to do in your free time, but when we call you, you better come here as soon as I call, now that you know all of this, you can't go back now, if you do we won't let you or your brother see the light of day again, same goes if you notify police, you understand me?" Raiden realized it's too late to go back now, you needed to be protected he said in his head. He nods slowly "Great. Now scram and use that Lien I so kindly gave you to buy...what's a thing that the kids like to buy nowadays? Hmm, don't care, just leave, well not until after Neo gives you the things you'll need, no offense but having a kid in torn up and dirty clothing do our work is not good for business." Neo rolls her eyes and points at Raiden and motions him to follow her as she walks over to the other side of the factory. As Raiden walks to the other side with Neo, he gets curious and goes to the side of her and taps her shoulder. Neo doesn't respond

Raiden(Typing):"So, do you mind if I ask why you're a mute? Like is it an infection like mine, a problem with your vocal chords themselves, Or do you just never communicate at all? Oh and do you know sign?" Neo is a bit surprised, seems like that's a yes

Neo(Sign):"Yeah, I know sign, as for why I'm a mute, it's a long story, now stop talking to me." Raiden gets the feeling that she doesn't like him all too much. Raiden remained silent for the rest of the walk, what's weird is that he thinks that he saw a White Fang member, but he thought the was impossible, White Fang and these guys would never work together.

You(Present):"...So, the White Fang and Torchwick's gang have been in league with each other for quite some time." Raiden nods at you as you both continue to watch the memories play

Neo opens the door to one of the rooms inside the Factory and inside is a massive amount of equipment, gear, clothing, and weapons. Raiden steps inside in awe of the sheer amount of complex gadgets there are...one being a Experimental ESW(Electrical Separation Whip) Blade and a HF-Engine Trident...Though both of them seem to be very broken and beyond repair, which seems to be the reason why no one has claimed them.

Neo(Sign):"Pick something out so you're not so inconspicuous and won't be recognized easily." Raiden manages to laugh

Raiden(Sign):"That's funny coming from you, Mary Poppins." Neo looks at him angrily. Raiden looks at the two weapons...though he grabs the ESW Blade and Red particles surround it he also looks at the Trident and wonders if he could give it to (F)...for self-defense. He grabs the other one as well and they both are surround with red particles, before they both light up with a red light and vanish, now being able to be Conjured at any given moment.

Neo(Sign):"You sure you want those? Those haven't been touched in ages."

Raiden(Sign):"I'll be fine." Raiden looks at some of the clothing and sees a worn out trench coat and grabs it and tries it on. He sees that it works well with him and sees a skull mask hanging from the pocket of it. He places it on and sees that it works for him. He sees Neo about to leave the room, he grabs her shoulder and Neo looks back at him annoyed "So, how did you end up with Torchwick?"

Neo(Sign):"A long story that is none of your concern, you can leave and go back to where ever you came from, be here tomorrow at 2 am, we have work to do." Raiden sighs as he lets go of her shoulder and Neo leaves.

Raiden(Sign):"Yes ma'am..."

As Raiden leaves the room you look at the Raiden from the current time and see that he seems...off, sure it's nerve wracking to have your memories shown to your little brother, but it seems like something else is bothering him...the fact that you saw his flame flicker purple a while ago worried you as well...As you focus back you see that the memories are flying past, most of them showing Raiden pulling off heists with Neo and others and Raiden never being caught. This goes on for years you can tell...you can also tell that Neo and Raiden start to work well together...You notice the memories slow down and start playing normally. This one is with Raiden, Neo, and Torchwick in front of the warehouse and see that everyone is putting the cargo and crates and boxes into airships and trucks and all of them are leaving...

Raiden(Typing):"Remind me again why we're abandoning this facility?" He says while they all approach an airship that's about to lift off.

Torchwick:"Ugh, listen, staying in one place too long will eventually lead cops to our front door, in order for us NOT to be caught we need to switch area every few months."

Raiden(Typing):"Well, it's been a few years...why haven't we moved this facility's supplies until now?"

Roman:"Because unlike our bigger ones, this one wasn't really needed up until now."

Raiden(Typing):"And why are we moving it now?"

Roman:"What is this, 20 questions? Listen we're moving it to an area where no one will be able to find it. And before you ask, I don't know myself, this is an offer from our generous Autumn herself, looks like we'll finally meet her."

Raiden(Typing):"And what if it's a trap?"

Roman:"Why do you think I'm bringing both of you? The three of us can handle what ever they throw at us...now then let's get a move on."

Raiden(Speaking):"Aww, would you look at that, he does care about us." Neo rolls her eyes as she twirls her umbrella in her hand.

Roman:"Care is a strong word, kid. Now get in."

After a bit of traveling in the airship, the airship lands at...Mountain Glenn. At the base of the mountain there are...hundreds of White Fang and Torchwick members entering a passage into an underground city. As they enter...they see Adam Taurus in the front of a large crowd of White Fang members as Raiden, Torchwick, and Neo go to the front they see that Adam is talking with a woman...she has a deep red dress on, with black hair and piercing Amber eyes...you feel like you've seen this person from somewhere but...you don't know where almost like the memory is gone..., as Raiden gets closer you see him rubbing his right eye.

Roman:"Oh, why hello gorgeous...I take it you're Autumn?" The woman with Amber eyes steps away from Adam and steps towards them, you notice that a dark skinned girl and a boy with grey hair are behind her. Again...you can't help but feel like you've seen them somewhere, but the memory is foggy and distorted...

Autumn:"Correct, you must be Roman Torchwick...we've been expecting you. Though my true name isn't Autumn. My name is-" Raiden from the present all of a sudden gets a call from...Blake? The area deteriorates as Raiden's flame returns to it's natural color. The area around you is now the abandoned facility.

Raiden:"Sorry, bro. Blake's calling." He picks up and puts it on speaker  so you could both hear them.

You:"What is it, Blake?"

Blake:"Everyone! If you can hear me we need back-" She gets interrupted by a yelling Sun

Sun:"HEEEELLLLPPPP!!!! They got a robot, and it's big, really big." You could hear the stomping of loud mechanical footsteps coming from the distance...you guess that must be them. "The Torchwick guy is in it! But not like, it didn't eat him- he's like, controlling it or something!"

Raiden:"Roman? Come on let's go, (F)." You conjure your Marasuma and look at it...you believed that Raiden crafted it by hand...only now do you know that it's just another one of Roman's products...Raiden grabs your shoulder and looks at you "You alright?"You nod at Raiden and you both run out of the facility.

You run out into the street and see that in the road above you that...there is a giant Paladin chasing after Blake and Sun who are jumping from car to car... You have no time to process the situation as Raiden grabs your arm and spins you with all of his strength and throws you up to the road above. As you're flying through the air you notice that he threw you in the direction of the Paladin.

You(Yelling):"YOU KNOW I COULD'VE JUST WARPED, RIGHT!?"

Raiden(Yelling):"You were distracted!"

You can't get angry with him as...you are about to crash into the Paladin and you just barely notice that Yang is speeding over in her Bumblebee and Neptune is on the book shooting...missiles/lasers at it. You hope none of them hit you as one whizzes by your head, you Conjure your Marasuma as you plunge it into the Paladin's arm. It tries to wave you off but you are holding onto it just barely. You see Neptune have the same idea as you as he plunges his weapon into the Paladin's other arm.

You:"You could've killed me!"

Neptune:"Give us a warning next time if you're just gonna fly in!"

You:"I would've!! But SOMEBODY didn't give me enough time!!!"You glaring at Raiden as he warps from car to car in front of you. You can see that the pilot is indeed Torchwick and he looks pissed. He thrashes the arms of the Paladin's and you are just barely holding in. Neptune doesn't have the same luck, as he is sent FLYING by the Paladin and slams into Sun who jumped up at the worst time. They both fall and you aren't able to see them anymore.

You:"Sun! Neptune!" You don't have time to check if they're alright or not as Torchwick is trying his best to get you off. You can see Weiss at the end of the road, you nod at her and she plunges her Myrtenaster into the ground. The ground freezes over with ice and you use your momentum to try to upset the balance of the Paladin. It works as the mixture of the slippery ice and your momentum flings him off the edge of the road...with you along with him.

As it tumbles off the road, you can feel immense pain as you crash against the ground. When it hits the ground below, surprisingly on it's feet, you are thrown off and crash right next to Ruby who just appeared.

Ruby:"(F)!? Are you alright!?" You can taste blood in your mouth but you give her a weak smile and get up, almost falling over as the rest of Team RWBY join you both. You Conjure your Marasuma again as the Paladin starts to charge at you all.

Ruby:"Freezerburn!" You jump out of the way as Weiss plunges her Myrtenaster into the ground and ice forms as Yang jumps violently into the air before readying her arm and slamming her arm into the ground as she fired an explosive shot from her Ember Celica. The entire area explodes as its covered in an icy mist. As the Paladin tries tracking all of you through it's heat scanning, which are all disrupted by the cold mist, You and Raiden distract the Paladin by warping all around it and the Paladin fires missiles at you, they explode close towards you but you see that Ruby and the others are slicing at it...not affecting it at all...

Ruby:"Checkmate!" She yells as she fires her Crescent Rose as the resulting recoil sends her flying back as Blake and Weiss run up to it and start carrying out a flurry of attacks on it. Weiss uses her Glyphs to lift her up and stab into one of the main guns in the front of the Paladin before using her Glyph to send her backwards along with Blake who was about to be crushed by the Paladin's foot. The Paladin sends missiles outwards and you shoot a few out of the air using your Marasuma's dual machine pistol mode. But Weiss uses a time dilation type Glyph on Blake and Blake pulls off a frenzy of attacks and the resulting attacks causes all of the missiles to explode.

Ruby:"Ladybug!" Ruby yells as she slashes above over the Paladin and Blake and Ruby start slicing simultaneously at its legs before jumping up and both of them slicing at its arm as it gets cut off!

You:"Nice one." You give them a thumbs up as Ruby returns it and Blake rolls her eyes

Ruby:"Flare Gun!" Raiden's eye bursts into flames as he runs over to the Paladin before stopping by Yang and slamming his Kitsune into the ground and the resulting hit causes the ground to shatter and rubble to be lifted up in the air and Yang fires one of her explosive shots at the rubble causing a chain reaction to light up all of the rubble and knock the Paladin backwards as well as disrupting the cameras in the Paladin.

Ruby:"Fire Storm!" You and Raiden use this time of it being blind to begin warping above, below, and all around the Paladin slicing at it repeatedly before you and Raiden warp high into the air. You grab Raiden's hand as he begins to spin you around insanely fast. Before using all of his strength to send you rocketing into the Paladin. You go to plunge your Marasuma into with full force but it steps back quickly and then cuts off your momentum entirely by crushing its fist into you! You feel a massive pain in your left eye as it begins to bleed...but not because of exhaustion...this was something else...You're sent flying backwards violently "(F)!!!" She looks at Blake and yells

Ruby:"Burning Hammer!" Ruby quickly yells as you are flung back and you see the chain from Blake's Gambol Shroud that she threw at you. You grab onto it and she stomps her foot and uses your momentum to swing you above her quickly. You use the upward momentum to fling her into the air above you. Finally she brings you up one final time and sends you down explosively as  you let go as you are sent catapulting down to the Paladin and your eye bursts into its Blue Flames and you feel a burning heat in your left arm. You look down to see blue flames are surrounding your entire fist, you don't know why but you don't care , you ready your arm and the flames grow throughout your entire arm. What is this power? You collide your arm with the Paladin and the resulting collision causes a MASSIVE shock wave as everyone is thrown back by it and it makes all of the rubble caused by the fight to be lifted up and blown upwards as you see the mist is completely blown away by your punch and you look to see that the Paladin is crushed into the ground as a gigantic crater is formed around it...you feel like calling this move...Flare Smash... but then you notice the immense amount of pain from your arm...You grab your hand as it's completely smoking and charred. You can still move it luckily but you look around to see that everyone is in slight shock, especially Raiden. You see that the Paladin...still isn't down as it gets back up with a massive dent in the side of it as it's smoking... How is it not down...

Yang wastes no time for it to recover as she jumps on top of it and punches the Paladin repeatedly before getting thrown up into the air and gets smashed through a pillar. And she slides onto the ground

Raiden/Blake:"YANG!"

Ruby:"Don't worry! With each hit she gets stronger, and she uses that energy to fight back! That's what makes her special!" You see Yang get up slowly...her hair glowing, her eyes red. The Paladin stomps over to her and goes to smash its fist into her. But Yang stops it effortlessly. She punches it with full force and it easily shatters its arm...How much power does she have you wonder... It kicks her backwards and flies past you as Ruby yells "Bumblebee!" Blake throws the chain of her Gambol Shroud at Yang and she grabs it. She flings her around so fast that you can hardly believe that the Paladin was able to dodge the drop kick Yang was about to deal...As she goes around for another spin Ruby yells "We have to slow it down!"

Weiss:"And how do you purpose we do that?"

Ruby:"Ice Flower!" Ruby slams the blade of her Scythe into the ground as Weiss places three Ice Glyphs in front of it. When Ruby fires massive ice chunks explode into the Paladin, slowing it down...You are SO in love with her right now...Raiden can see it and ruffles your hair, you WANT to punch him, but considering your arm looks like a burnt marshmallow you spare him for now. You look back to Yang to see that she is going SO DAMN FAST THAT THE FLAMES FROM HER HAIR ARE TRAILING BEHIND HER AND SHE LETS GO AND SLAMS HER FIST INTO THE PALADIN, shattering it completely...You look at Raiden to see that he is completely in love with her right now, you elbow him playfully with your good arm. And run over to Torchwick who is now defenseless

Roman:"I just got this thing cleaned." Yang reloads her Ember Celica and fires a homing shot at him...only to be stopped by...Neo. She lifts up her umbrella and Raiden glares at her.

Roman:"Ladies, Raiden, (F)...Ice Queen. Always a pleasure, Neo if you would?" Neo bows and Yang runs up and hits her...only for both of them to shatter.

Raiden:"Neo..." You hear the sound of an Airship leaving and see that Roman and Neo are on it...

Yang:"So, I'm guessing he's got a new henchman..."

Weiss:"I guess she really made our plans...fall apart?" You groan and Raiden face palms.

Blake:"No, just no." She walks away

Weiss:"What? But you do it."

Yang:"There's a time and a place for jokes."

Weiss:"Was this not it?"

Yang:"No, it just wasn't very good..."

Weiss:"Well at least I'm trying." She walks away and looks back at Raiden "Do you happen to know who that girl was?"

Raiden:"...Neo...she was off on a mission for quite some time before we...never mind."Raiden seems...thrown off by seeing her somehow. You...just notice something

You:"Hey guys have anyone seen Sun and Neptune?"

Yang:"They're fine...probably." You see Raiden walking off silently as Yang walks beside him...Ruby walks toward you, looking at your arm...

Ruby:"Are you gonna be alright? That looks painful."

You:"It is but...I'll be fine, are YOU alright?"

Ruby:"Well, I have a bit of pain but...I'm more worried about you." You kiss her on the forehead and start walking with her
