(Volume 2) Part 3: King and Leviathan

It's the day after you and the team's decision to investigate and bring down Torchwick's and the White Fang's master plan. You're sitting next to Ruby as Professor Port is having another one of his speeches of when he was young and in his prime. You tuned out of his lesson and direct your attention to Jaune as he's...yet again trying to move in on Weiss, you wonder why he can't realize what he has...it's frustrating, though you view it as a prime example of looking for love in all the wrong places...

Jaune:"So Weiss, you know uh, I was thinking after this, maybe we'd go grab a bite to eat? And uh, you know well I-I've got two tickets to that new Spruce Willis movie if you want to make the trip to Vale. I hear it's awesome. And...then maybe we could, study together? I mean you're smart and I'm a, you know..." Weiss is simply looking at her Scroll, not seeming to be paying attention to Jaune. She looks up as the bell rings and you listen back to Professor Port.

Professor Port:"And then I-oh, uh, timed that wrong I guess. Well the stunning conclusion to the story will have to wait. Until next time." You look back at Jaune and Weiss.

Jaune:"Weiss? Did you hear me?" Weiss gets up and walks away from Jaune

Weiss:"No, no, no, yes." Well that answers that question...or...those questions you should say. Jaune sighs as he places his head on the table. As all of us walk past him Yang ruffles his hair.

Yang:"Some day." You stop and tap his shoulder. He looks up at you

Jaune:"Hey (F), what is it?" 

You:"...Can I ask why you continue going after Weiss? Like not be rude but she has blown you off every single time..."

Jaune:"I don't know, just something about her makes me feel like one day she'll change." You sigh and pat his shoulder

You:"Well since you have those tickets they might as well not let them go to waste."

Jaune:"What do you want them so you and Ruby can have a date?" You laugh as you tilt your head back

You:"As nice as that sounds, no, you use them."

Jaune:"But I have two tickets, who am I gonna go with?" You grab the top of his head and make his head move so he's looking at Pyrrha who is waiting patiently by the door for Jaune. "Pssh, Pyrrha? Why her?" You want to slap him so badly right now.

You:"Just...ask her, alright?" he rolls his eyes at you as he gets up and walks away

Jaune:"Pssh, might as well buy a dress while I'm at it." You make a 'I'm going to strangle you' motion behind his back. You look at your scroll to see it is 4:02. You begin to walk back to your room.

Later

You enter your dorm with Raiden who is wearing his old trench coat and has his Skull Mask in his hand, behind you and look to see that all of Team RWBY are in their...new outfits...you didn't think they had more than one set of clothing...Well at least you don't, you're poor. They all look to you and Raiden and Ruby speaks as she's on the top bunk of her bed.

Ruby:"Alright guys, today's the day. The investigation, begins!" she jumps off and almost hits Weiss on her way down. Luckily she pulled her legs back before Ruby could break her legs.

Weiss(Sarcastically):"I'm glad to see that we're taking this SO seriously."

Yang:"Hey! We've got a plan. That's...moderately serious." Raiden seems quiet today you notice...he's been quieted ever since the team decided to go after Roman and the White Fang.

Ruby:"Right, everyone remember their roles?"

Weiss:"You and I will head down to the CCT and check the Schnee records for any other Dust robberies, or inconsistencies. Seeing as I'm in the family, it shouldn't be a problem."

Blake:"The White Fang has regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members. If I can get in, I can hopefully find out what they're planning."

Yang:"I have an old friend on the shady side of town that typically knows everything going on in Vale. Getting information out of him won't be too hard." Raiden gives a 'Really?' look at Yang, Yang rolls her eyes before kissing him on the forehead "Don't worry hun', I'll be fine." Raiden nods

You:"Finally, Raiden and I will head down to some of the old warehouses that Torchwick used to use, if there's any luck we'll find some trace as to where he is hiding or, even better, find out what is his plan."

Ruby:"Great, we'll meet up tonight near Yang to go over what we've found. Let's do this!"

???:"Yeah!" You hear a voice and look to the slightly covered window (Due to your bunk bed) and see that Sun is hanging upside down by his tail. You all step back surprised to see him.

Blake:"Sun!?"

Sun:"Why is there a bed here?" 

You:"Long story."

Yang:"How did you get up there?"

Sun:"Ah it's easy I do it all the time."

Weiss:"You do what!?"

Sun:"I climb trees all the time!" Weiss squints at Sun angrily. Sun swings himself into the room and lands on Raiden's bed, laying down. "So... are we finally getting back at that Torchwick guy?"

Blake:"WE, are going to investigate the situation. As a team."

Ruby:"Sorry Sun, we don't want to get friends involved if we don't have to."

Sun:"Pfft, that's dumb. You should always get friends involved. That's why I brought Neptune."

You:"Neptune?" You all poke your heads out of the window to see Neptune is indeed on the side of the building...you wonder how he got up there.

Neptune:" 'Sup."

Ruby:"How did you even get up here."

You:"I was literally thinking the same thing."

Neptune:"I have my ways...Seriously though can I come in. We're like, really high up right now." He says while looking down.

You sigh and Conjure your Marasuma and point it at Neptune, so he can use it to pull himself in. After being a little hesitant at first he grabs onto it and pulls himself in.

Neptune:"Thanks."

You:"No problem." You let go of your Marasuma and Cosmic Blue particles form around it as it vanishes. Neptune sees this and looks very confused

Neptune:"What..was that?"

You:"Oh, just my semblance."

Neptune:"...Huh. Anyways." You all gather in the center of the room, which seems really cramped considering there are now 8 people in it. After telling Sun and Neptune about the plan, Ruby decides as to who they'll go with.

Ruby:"All right. I'll go with Weiss. Sun, you can go with Blake. And Neptune you can go with Yang since she's the only one without a partner." Ruby begins pushing Neptune towards Yang and Weiss seems saddened. "Everyone good?"

Weiss:"Actually Ruby, why don't you go with Yang? After all she is your sister. And Raiden and (F) are paired up and they're siblings, makes perfect sense, right?" You feel like she's trying to go somewhere with this...

Ruby:"But Weiss, who would go with you then?"

Weiss:"Well, I guess Neptune could come with me." 

You(Quietly):"I ship it." Ruby begins laughing as you see Neptune smiling and pointing at Weiss.

Ruby:"Nah." She kisses you on the cheek before dragging Weiss out the door.

Weiss:"But! But!"

You:"Stay safe!"

Ruby(Distant):"I will, I will. See you guys soon!"

You look to Raiden as everyone begins to leave the room to see that he still hasn't uttered a word...You sign to him if something was wrong. He signs back that he's just thinking about something.

You(Sign):"Is it Roman?"

Raiden(Sign):"Yeah,my old gear, and going to the old locations are taking me back to some...bad memories."

You(Sign):"Well the sooner we find Torchwick, the sooner we can put those memories to rest." He smiles before ruffling your hair. You laugh a bit as you exit.

Later at an Old Abandoned Warehouse

You and Raiden are on the top of a Warehouse that Raiden said used to be a Base of Operations for Torchwick and his men. Though you know you're supposed to be searching for any scrap of evidence, you think now would be a good time to ask some of the questions that's been lingering in your head for months now.

You slightly open a window on the top of the roof before you Conjure your Marasuma and switch it into it's HF-Engine Blade mode and keep it at your side just to be cautious. You look to Raiden as he nods at you and Conjures his Cloud Kitsune. You jump in and land on the ground with a bit of pain going up your heel because you landed wrong and you sit down to ease the pain.

You:"Ow." As Raiden jumps in, he looks around he looks at you,slightly worried 

Raiden:"Are you alright?"

You:"Yeah..." You look around to see that the place is in fact abandoned and dark. You release your weapons as it vanishes with blue particles appearing from it.

You can tell Raiden is not enjoying this at all, you thought now would be a good time to ask...

You:"Can I ask you something, Raiden?" He tosses his Kitsune as it vanishes with red particles appearing from it and looks at you confused.

Raiden:"Sure? Fire away." You let the Blue Flames flow from your eye.

You(Telepathically):"How did you end up meeting Roman? And more importantly...why? I know that it was for me but...I can't shake this feeling that it was something else as well" Raiden looks down with his hands at his hips and lets his flames course through his eyes.

Raiden(Telepathically):"...How about I show you?"

You(Telepathically):"How?"

Raiden(Telepathically):"Right...I never taught you this...well take my hand and focus your Aura." You are confused but take his hand hesitantly. You look at him as he closes his eyes and wonder...what is he planning?

You see that Raiden's flame is growing. You feel heat coming from his hand and see...his hand has flames flowing around it. You freak out for a bit, but you realize, it isn't burning him. You see that the flames are crawling onto your hand, What on Remnant is this? As the flames surround your hand your flames mix together and...somehow defying what you know about mixing colors, turns the flames in both of your hands into a pure white color. Before you could react you notice Raiden's eye is a pure white flame...You see everything begin to fade before...everything goes white.

You look around to see that the entire area around you as changed...You're in a back alley that you are all too familiar with. The alley where you and Raiden had been those many years ago... You are confused as hell and look around and see...a younger version of yourself huddled next to a younger version of Raiden. You get closer to them being cautious and before you could ask them anything you hear a voice behind you.

Raiden(Telepathically):"Don't bother talking to them... these are just memories." You look back and see Raiden as his eye is still burning Blue. You are beyond confused at the moment.

You(Telepathically):"R-Raiden?!?! Where are we?!?! How are we in your memories?! What was with that fire going across your hand!?! WHY IS YOUR EYE WHITE!?!?!?!" You begin freaking out then Raiden snaps his fingers to summon a mirror and shows that...your Eye is also White...

Raiden(Telepathically):"Easy bro...Like I said we are in my memories. And we are back at the old alleyway where we used to be those many years ago...This is the night where I was influenced by Roman to do his work."

You(Telepathically):"THEN WHY ARE BOTH OF OUR FIRES WHITE!?" 

Raiden(Telepathically):"...You are Chronicle, right?"

You(Telepathically):"R-right?"

Raiden(Telepathically):"How much do you know of what that means...or of where that power came from...or what is the full extent of our abilities?"

You(Telepathically):"Well...Nothing really."

Raiden(Telepathically):"Well...I've learned that our Semblance is from an ancient mystical being called Leviathan, whose eyes coursed with White Flames. The Leviathan was a Goddess to men at that time and was loving and kind. You see when the King of the Ancient Kingdom from Ozpin's story was being overwhelmed by a being with unfathomable power, who is only known as Queen of the Grimm." 

You(Telepathically):"Queen of Grimm?"

Raiden(Telepathically):"Yes, not much is known about her, only that her power grows ever stronger when fear rises...The King begged the Leviathan to lend him her strength.After completing a test of strength, Leviathan accepted. The King and Leviathan fought against the Queen of the Grimm, and eventually the King was injured and was not going to survive. Leviathan was so full of kindness, that she gave him all of her power and their Souls combined and it gave him incredible power, his eyes burned with a bright white fire. Givinghim enough power to push back the Queen of the Grimm. After his battle, his flame became blue and he was then given the name Chronicle, because his impact on the world was so great that it was remembered throughout all of history."

You(Telepathically):"So...why aren't our flames white...well naturally if we are in fact decedents of Leviathan?"

Raiden(Telepathically):"Though I'm not absolutely sure...It has to do with our connection with Leviathan herself. You see from what I can tell it seems like when your eye is a regular flame it means you have a low connection. When it's naturally a blue flame it means your connection is high...There have only been 2, you and the First King, so in turn your power is higher. And finally white, A white flame signifies you have a direct connection to Leviathan herself, she essentially is living in you."

You:"And...a Purple flame?" Raiden stops speaking for a while

Raiden(Telepathically):"Purple means it isn't Leviathan...It's Serpent."

You:"Serpent?"

Raiden(Telepathically):"You aren't quite ready for that story, even if you are Chronicle."

You(Telepathically):"Then...that man at the docks...he was one of Serpent's?" Raiden nods

Raiden(Telepathically):"Now, with the incredible power that Leviathan left us, we have so many abilities we haven't even dreamed of...Memory sharing is simply one of them."

You(Telepathically):"So...how do you even get your connection higher with Leviathan? I mean because now our eyes are both White at the moment...wait...does that mean she can hear us?"

Raiden(Telepathically):"Wouldn't doubt it, but I doubt she'd say anything, I mixed both of our Semblances together to give us a temporary boost in our connection."

You(Telepathically):"One more question...how do you know about all of this?" Raiden remained quiet for a while

Raiden(Telepathically):"...You'll find out soon enough" You just...barely get the chance to notice it but...entire area changed for just a split second...but just long enough for you to notice the ground change to a almost glassy dark color...and the sky to be blood red...and Raiden's flame flickers purple
