(Volume 1) Part 12: A confession

You're in Dr. Ooblecks classroom at the moment sitting next to Raiden, Pyrrha, and Blake and taking down notes as Raiden is trying to keep up with Dr. Oobleck's speedy mouth, you look at Jaune to see him snoring and...Cardin sitting behind him as Dr. Oobleck as teaching about the Faunus War. You don't particularly enjoy this type of stuff since it involves much controversy but it's also a way to view the past mistakes of both Humans and Faunus so you thought you might as well stop complaining. Oobleck speeds to the board

Dr. Oobleck:"Yes! Yes, prior to the Faunus Rights Revolution, more popularly known as the Faunus War, Humankind was quite, quite adamant about centralizing Faunus Population in Menagerie." Oobleck quickly races to the side of the board and sips his probably caffeinated coffee.

Dr. Oobleck:"While this must feel like ancient history to many of you, it is imperative to remember that these are relatively recent events! Why the repercussions of the uprising can still be seen today!" Oobleck doesn't even look like he's walking, just simply speedily sliding around the room sipping his coffee.

Dr. Oobleck:"Now! Have any among you have been subjugated or discriminated because of your Faunus heritage?" You look around the room to see the girl Faunus from yesterday; Velvet and a few others raise their hands...You look to Blake, she seems annoyed but isn't raising her hand. You feel like she's hiding something, you keep thinking back to her...bow twitching and can't help but wonder if she is a Faunus...you REALLY don't want to ask however since you are terrified of her.

Dr. Oobleck:"Dreadful, simply dreadful! Remember students, it's precisely this kind of ignorance which breeds violence." He sips his drink...you wonder how fast his heart must beat...that much caffeine can't be good for you "I mean, I mean, I mean just look at what happened to the White Fang! Now! Which one of you young scholars can tell me what many theorists believe to be the turning point in the third year of the war?" He takes another sip. You see Weiss in front of you raise her hand. "Yes?"

Weiss:"The battle at Fort Castle."

Dr. Oobleck:"Precisely! And, who can tell me the advantage the Faunus had over General Lagune's forces?" You look to Cardin and see him flick a paper football at Jaune. Waking him up raising his hand accidentally, you really wanted to punch him but kept your cool, you didn't want to get in trouble

Jaune:"Hey!" he yells when waking up. Dr. Oobleck speeds over to him

Dr. Oobleck:"Mr. Arc! Finally contributing to class I see! This is excellent! Excellent! What is the answer?" You take one look at Jaune's face and immediately see that he has absolutely no clue what Oobleck was talking about...

Jaune:"Uh....the answer...the advantage...of the Faunus...had over that guy's stuff..." You look at Pyrrha and see that she's trying to show him the answer...it isn't working but Jaune looks at her anyways

Jaune:"Um, B-Binoculars!" All of the other students laugh at Jaune as Pyrrha face palms, you feel a bit bad. And look at Cardin to see him just having the time of his life. You wanted to teach him another lesson, and since Ruby wasn't there to hold you back, Raiden was...Oobleck takes another sip of his drink, he does not look amused...he speeds back up to the front

Dr. Oobleck:"Very funny, Mr. Arc...Cardin! Perhaps you would care to share your thought on the subject!"

Cardin:"Well, I know it's a lot easier to train an animal than a soldier." Your eye ignites and your about to kick Cardin's ass again but Raiden ignites his eye and pulls you down

Raiden(Telepathically):"Not worth it..." he lets go and his fire fades...though yours still burns blue.

Pyrrha:"You aren't exactly one of the most open-minded of individuals, are you, Cardin."

You:"Hah! That's putting it lightly." Cardin frowns at you

Cardin:"What was that?" You laugh

You:"What? Can't hear over the sound of your own bull crap?" Cardin gets up angrily glaring at you. You look over to him smiling at Cardin, your eye burning blue.

You:"Didn't you hear what I said yesterday Cardin...Go ahead and make my day..."

Cardin:"Whatever, hiding behind your Semblance shows how much of a coward you are."

You:"I won't need my semblance due to your primitive fighting style...and you only having an ignorant mind shows how much of an ass hat you are..." Cardin growls while slamming his fist on the table before sitting down. You smile

Dr. Oobleck:"(F)! That kind of behavior and language will not happen in my classroom, the same applies to you Cardin."

You:"...Sorry for disturbing your class sir." You say as your fire fades away and you sit back then and immediately smacked in the head by Raiden."Ow!". Raiden signs for you to pay attention

Pyrrha:"As I was saying I have the answer. It's Night Vision. Many Faunus are known to have nearly perfect sight in the dark." Cardin growls

Blake:" General Lagune was inexperienced and made the mistake of trying to ambush the Faunus in their sleep. His massive army was outmatched, and the General was captured. Perhaps if he had payed attention in class, he wouldn't have been remembered as such a failure." She says with emphasis and looking at Cardin. You hold your hand up to give her a high five and she returns it. You can hear other students going 'Oooooo'. Cardin gets up again furious.

Dr. Oobleck:"Mr. Winchester! Please take your seat." You hear Jaune snickering. "You and Mr. Arc can both see me after class for additional readings. And Mr.(L), though this is only your first acting up in class, do not let this behavior become a habit. Is that understood."

You:"Yes sir, won't happen again, sir." He nods

Dr. Oobleck:"Now! Moving on!"

After class you exit with Nora, Ren, Pyrrha, Weiss, Blake, and Raiden and start heading to your rooms as class is finished. You see Pyrrha stop.

Pyrrha:"You go on ahead. I'll wait for Jaune." You all nod and start walking again. As you were walking you see Blake looking at you curiously...

You:"...Something wrong, Blake?"

Blake:"Why are you so nice to Faunus?"

You:"...Well...why not? Is there any reason I SHOULDN'T be? I mean aren't we all the same in the end?" Blake seems a bit surprised

Blake:"Yeah but..."

You:"But nothing, at the end of the day we are all the same, no matter what we look like, no matter how we walk, talk, fight, and sleep. We're all the same...even if we look a bit different." You glance up to her bow and she looks down.

You:"...Something up?"

Blake:"Nothing...I just wish there were more people who view the world like you..."

You:"Well...me too I guess." You see Ruby walking through the hallways and wave to her as she starts walking with you.

You:"Hey Ruby.Hey Yang." you say with a smile

Yang:"Sup (F). Hey Raiden."

Raiden:"Yo." Yang and Raiden fall behind a little as they begin talking and...making puns. When shall Raiden make his move you wonder...then you realize when will you make YOUR move with Ruby...soon you think, soon.

Ruby:"Hey (F)! How was class with Oobleck?"

You:"Great, almost got into a fight with Cardin so..." Ruby sighs

Ruby:"You really can't help yourself when you see others in trouble can't you?" she says a warm smile

You:"Heh, Nope! How was Professor Port's...stories

Ruby:"Ugh! All he kept talking about was how he took down an Ursai with his bare hands..."

You:"Shouldn't you say...BEAR hands!?" You deviously smile as you hear Yang and Raiden laugh

You:"Well Ruby I guess that was a pretty...GRIMM situation." You could've sworn a drum set go 'ba-dum tiss' Raiden tries not to cry tears of joy, Yang looks so proud of you and hugs you...which would be fine if your head wasn't at her chest level...You can barely breathe.

Yang(whispers):"You're perfect for her." she whispers in your ear...which makes your mind goes blank for a bit.

Yang releases you and you walk with Ruby with Raiden, Blake, and Weiss behind you back to your room, You open the door to the room and warp up to your bed, exhausted... you then realize you have work to do so you grumble and Conjure your books and start reading

After 5 hours of reading and working you finally finish, you look to see that everyone else is finished too. You look at your scroll to see that it's almost midnight. You conjure up your pajamas and head to the shower room. As you open the door you hear Raiden

Raiden:"Oh hold up (F) I'mma go with you. Gotta talk to you about something."

You:"Oh sure." You close the door and see Raiden who seems a bit worried about something..."You...alright bro?"

Raiden:"I WANT TO ASK OUT YANG!" You are a bit shocked for him to simply burst that out

You:"Um...I...uh...did not expect that...I mean I did but...not like that..."

Raiden:"Yeah sorry...got kinda carried away."

You:"Yeah well...why are you telling me?"

Raiden:"BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT!"

You:"...You're asking your little bro who hasn't even had his first kiss yet...for dating advice." You laugh a little

Raiden:"THIS IS NO LAUGHING MATTER!"

You:"Well...just be honest dude. I don't really know what to say. I'm not the romantic type...if I was I'd be with Ru...anyways um, Don't...try to be someone else and just be yourself, you don't have to be all fancy though, you've...seen Yang so you know she's definitely not the shy type...unlike you...and you know that she's already likes teasing you so...just don't be afraid." You...just realized that you and Raiden haven't moved from the door of the room...and can see shadows by the door...oh no

Yang bursts through the door and nearly tackles Raiden, kissing him right on the lips...Of course Raiden didn't expect this at all so he's a deathly pale at the moment...You see the rest of Team RWBY already in their pajamas peeking their heads through the door

Yang:"Of course I'd go out with you, dummy! I've loved you from the start!" Raiden tried responding but he was just...broken? Obviously not expecting that.

You:"Well that was quick..." Under your breath "Didn't even have to actually do it..." after Raiden gained back his words, Raiden laughed a little staring at her as she was smiling back. You decided to leave the two alone as you look to the rest of RWBY and glare at them, motioning them to stop looking. Their heads slowly go away...

Raiden:"Yang...I love you..."

Yang:"I love you too, Raiden..." Raiden pulls Yang in for a kiss, which Yang actually did not expect, but she kisses back...you think this is awkward just staring so you run off to the shower room

After showering for half an hour you get back to the door of the room and see Raiden still kissing Yang outside...you clear your throat. Raiden looks to you and Yang rests her head against his shoulders.

You:"I think you two can continue kissing tomorrow...it's past midnight..." Raiden clears his throat and gets up, pulling Yang up.

Raiden:"R-right." he kisses Yang on the cheek and he starts heading to the shower room since...all of that happened before he could actually shower...As Raiden leaves Yang places her hand on your head and ruffles your hair.

Yang:"...Well now that you helped us...maybe now you can start focusing on you-know-who?" You...were confused at first. she then turns your head to look at Ruby who...is already sleeping in your bed...You turn red, you didn't know that Yang knew about that

You:"You...know about that?" She laughs

Yang:"It's really easy to see, you're always so nice and kind with her. You are a lot like her...You're easily one of the sweetest people I've met and...she deserves someone like you. Not to mention that she has a major crush on you back..." You don't know what to say now...

You:"...T-thank you Yang."

Yang:"Anytime (F)..." she smiles and she heads back inside

You hop back into your bed and look at Ruby sleeping...all you can think about is how beautiful she looks...You slip in the covers and see her eyes open a little, she yawns

Ruby:"...Oh hi (F)."

You:"...You do know you don't HAVE to be in my bed every single night right?"

Ruby(Sluggish and tired):"Well I don't want you to be suffering in school and in our team because of sleep issues...that and I like being here with you..."

You:"Well you d-...what'd you say?"

Ruby:"When I'm with you...I feel safe...and wanted..."

You:"I-I...Ruby..." You can't form words in your mouth...

Ruby:"Do you remember the first nightmare while at Beacon...do you remember...what you said to me?"

You:"No...I'm sorry...after I woke up everything went blank..." Ruby sighs and holds your hand, you blush a little as you lay next to her, looking into her eyes

Ruby:"...Try to remember... please?"She looks up at you

Ruby:"I shook you awake, remember?...Can you try to remember?" she looks down, her face is flushed with red... You try to remember...

You:"I...said that I was sorry that I woke you up...right?" she looks a bit surprised...but seems a little relieved...

Ruby:"Good...anything else?"

You:"You said you wanted to stay with me...in case I had another nightmare..."

Ruby:"..." she looks more red

You:"I said I..." You suddenly remembered everything and become extremely red...

Ruby:"You said you...what..." You...can't think, your heart is pounding out of your chest

You:"...I love you Ruby..." Ruby smiles at you and kisses you on the cheek softly...

Ruby:"I love you too..."
