Chapter 18: No More Lies!
=========================
Ardan is once again walking behind Obi-wan and Leia with his hand close to his Saber just encase, Ardan can tell how disconnected to the Force Obi-Wan is right now his Saber skills are still unseen, maybe he still has what it takes, maybe not, either way Ardan needs to think as if he's the only hope they have right now.
Leia: Where are we?
She asked as they made their way through a few people, none of them seemingly caring about who they are, or maybe they don't care ever one suits Ardan nicely.
Obi-Wan: Daiyu.
Leia looked around to the people and to the buildings with the lights and other things that can attract a kids attention.
Leia: This place is incredible. Do you smell that?
She asked stopping, Ardan gently moved her forward though telling her to keep going as Obi-Wan guided her back to his side.
Obi-Wan: Don't smell anything. Don't look at anything. Don't touch anything.
They continued to move as Ardan found it quite funny that two Jedi Masters are struggling to keep a 10 year old girl in line and following instructions.
Leia: You sound like my parents.
Leia really did make Ardan miss Luke and Kyly so much more, she's is such a pain in the ass constantly asking questions and waiting to touch shit, why must kids touch everything they see.
Leia: Why aren't you using your Lightsaber's? Maybe it's because you're not really Jedi'.
She asked Obi-Wan and Ardan looking up them both as they kept on walking but the last part made Obi-Wan look down to her, Ardan didn't really care what a 10 year old girl thought, Leia has just been fed lies from the Empire, she doesn't even know it yet.
Leia: I heard they all died. I read that Jedi can make things float. Make me float.
Leia ordered stopping them from walking and making Ardan bump into her as they both looked at her confused.
Obi-Wan: What?
Obi-Wan asked as Leia wasn't moving anymore she is just standing there doing nothing and waiting for one of them to lift her off the floor.
Leia: I want to float.
Obi-Wan looked to her as she spun around like she was a pin wheel.
Obi-Wan: No.
Obi-Wan and Ardan walked off as Leia was really talkative apparently
Leia: Because you can't.
Ardan moved back to behind them as Leia moved back to besides Obi-Wan and looked up to him as Obi-Wan corrected her.
Obi-Wan: Because if we use the Force, then it'll draw attention to us. Come on.
Obi-Wan and Ardan carefully walked passed two Stormtroopers coming towards them and turned to another direction as Leia had another thing to say.
Leia: You haven't even told me you're names.
Ardan thought that it was clear she wasn't interested in a quite walk, maybe it's because he's spent 10 years with just himself, Luke, Kyly and BD but he's grown to love the peace and quite, there's going to be little of that here.
Obi-Wan: Ben. That's Ardan.
Leia turned to Ardan as Ardan looked down to her, it might seem rude and mean but Ardan wound't be here right now if Obi-Wan didn't beg him and guilt trip him so he's not in a cheerful mood.
Leia: That's not a Jedi name...
Leia said to Obi-Wan then turned to Ardan.
Leia: ... Your's maybe...
Ardan was glad he got her seal of approval but even Ardan could tell from Obi-Wan's tone that Leia is getting on his nervous a little.
Obi-Wan: Well, that's my name. You'll have to trust us eventually.
Obi-Wan didn't let it show though, he cares for the kids and deep down so does Ardan, Ardan's just not used to chatter boxes.
Leia: How can I trust you when I know you're hiding something?
Leia stopped again this time Ardan was able to stop before walking into the small human as Obi-Wan turned around to look at her.
Leia: You think the less you say, the less you give away, but, really, it's the opposite.
Ardan looked up from Leia to Obi-Wan as he could have sworn Padme possessed this child for a split second.
Obi-Wan: How old are you?
Obi-Wan asked with squinting eyes as she answered cheerfully.
Leia: Ten!
Obi-Wan looked up to Ardan as they both wanted to make sure.
Obi-Wan: You don't sound like you're ten.
Obi-Wan gently moved Leia so she's walking beside him again as Ardan closely follows behind.
Leia: Thank you. Come on.
They were once again knocked off path but this time by Bounty Hunters coming towards them, they were quick out of the way though and continued their journey, Obi-wan walked down and alley way with Leia behind him and Ardan behind her.
They came to an intersection just as a Bounty Hunter came around the corner and saw them, Ardan quickly reached for his Saber but Obi-Wan just knocked him out cold, Ardan just huffed and put his Saber back.
Leia: Who was...?
Leia was spooked by this and a little scared as Obi-Wan dragged the unconscious body away.
Obi-Wan: He's a Bounty Hunter.
Ardan rested his hand on her shoulder to reassure her that it'll will be alright, she maybe a pain in the ass but she is still a little girl, Ardan would hate if Luke wound up in this position, Ardan does hope that Luke's trained well enough at this point to get out by himself but the point still stands.
Obi-Wan: We'll stay here for now.
Leia sat down to have a rest as Ardan leant on a nearby wall lowering his hood for the first time in seemingly forever, he noticed her pull out a small droid and so did Obi-Wan walking away from her.
Obi-Wan: No noise from that.
Obi-Wan walked off as Leia corrected him.
Leia: Her name's Lola. and she won't make any. She's hurt.
Obi-Wan looked to her and instinctively responded.
Obi-Wan: Good.
Leia looked down sad at that as even Ardan looked to him like that was a bit much, she clearly cares for the droid, Obi-Wan is wise though and saw his mistake and knelt by her.
Obi-Wan: What happened to her anyway?
He asked leaning on a small box beside her as Ardan stayed leaning on the opposite wall.
Leia: Se was ripped to pieces by kidnappers. She'll be alright, thought. She's strong.
Obi-Wan wanted to change the subject while Ardan realised that she and Luke are a lot more alike then he originally thought, Ardan never thought he'd go anywhere without BD but now, BD's became his best friend and cares for him like he is a living person.
Obi-Wan: I let your parents know you're safe. You'll be back in the palace, back to normal, by nightfall.
Leia didn't look as happy about that as both Jedi Masters expected.
Leia: Normal. Great.
Ardan isn't the best with kids problems, Kyly normally is the one Luke goes to when he doesn't like something but even the old and rusty Obi-Wan can see somethings not right.
Obi-Wan: Now who's hiding something, Princess?
Leia didn't answer him though and turned from Lola to Obi-Wan.
Leia: You don't have to call me that. I'm just Leia.
Obi-Wan and Ardan both heard a device being from the Bounty Hunter and Obi-Wan got up to go and see what it was.
Obi-Wan: Stay here.
Obi-Wan went off to see what it is as Ardan walked over to Leia and sat beside her and looked to the sad girl.
Ardan: Can I...?
Ardan asked holding is right hand out as she is to his left, Ardan can fix Lola and cheer her up a little bit, Leia wasn't to sure to start with but something to her she could trust him so she handed Lola over and watched as Ardan started to make her feel better.
Leia: You don't like me do you?
Leia asked looking up to him as he looked from Lola to her and answered honestly.
Ardan: It's not that, it's just...
Ardan took a deep breath and was about to tell a lie but then went back to his original plan of telling the truth.
Ardan: ... You remind me of my son a lot...
Ardan knew he can't tell her anything personal about Luke to her but surely a few traits won't hurt.
Ardan: ... He's stubborn, smart, a troublemaker like you.
Ardan said smiling giving her a small nudge on the last one making her smile, Ardan turned back to Lola and tried to make her all better.
Ardan: I just miss him. That's all.
Ardan never thought he'd would have gotten this attached to Luke but there's something special about the boy, not special enough to learn the Dark side anyway.
Leia: Could I meet him one day?
Ardan looked to her as he should really say no but their twins, the Universe will bring them together again at some point right.
Ardan: I hope so.
Ardan looked back to Lola as he made her feel better but doing so basically put her into sleep mode and deactivated anything that could be traced.
Ardan: There you go, all better...
Ardan looked over to Obi-Wan as he still knelt by the Bounty hunter doing something and he turned back to Leia.
Ardan: Want to see a cool trick?
He asked to which she nodded in response, Ardan rested Lola in his right hand palm and used the Force to gently lift the robot up and moved it over to her and into her hands, she made a face like she's seen the most awesome thing ever but Ardan held his left index finger to his mouth asking her to keep it quiet and she nodded agreeing.
Leia looked to Lola worried that she still wasn't waking up so Ardan told her.
Ardan: It's okay, she's resting. She'll wake up when she's feeling better.
Leia hugged Ardan thanking him for helping her friend and that moment he remembered what it felt like to be a Jedi, to protect people and help those in need, bot to run and hide every time some needs help, Leia let go of Ardan thought when she saw that Obi-Wan still hasn't moved so she got up to find out what's going on.
Leia: What is that?
Leia asked as Obi-Wan continued to fumble with the Bounty Hunter watch that held a picture of him and Ardan on, the only thing is the pictures are of them from when they were in the Order, so they were taken 10 years ago when Ardan was 19.
Leia: Why is there a picture of you both?
Ardan stood up as Obi-Wan turned to her worried that she wasn't supposed to have seen that, Ardan wasn't even sure what was going on but this wasn't good.
Leia: You did lie. Both of you.
Ardan wasn't sure what to say, he's not even 100% sure what's going on, he just got here and now their are Inquisitors chasing them and he just told her about her twin brother without telling her he's her twin, the passed hour or so has already been a shit show.
Leia: That's what you were hiding. You're the reason I'm here. They took me to get to you too.
Ardan was technically brought here by Obi-Wan but that's not important right now, Obi-Wan however was trying to calm her down but nothing was really working.
Leia: Did my father even send you too?
Ardan looked to Obi-Wan as this is the time where Obi-Wan told the truth.
Ardan: Well, Your father asked him but Ben asked me for my help.
Obi-Wan looked to Ardan confused as Leia looked up to them both.
Ardan: What? No more lies right?
Ardan said with a shrug as Leia was now jumping to conclusions.
Leia: How do I know you're not the real kidnappers?
Ardan was about to answer with a smart ass comment but now's not really the time for that, right now she's just a scared little girl on an alien planet.
Obi-Wan: You have to trust me.
Leia: You aren't a Jedi.
Obi-Wan: Your father is a very old friend.
Leia: I don't believe you.
Ardan watched as they went back and forth and just as Ardan was about to stop it and try and talk to Leia himself, she turns and runs off, Ardan looked to Obi-Wan.
Ardan: Never a boring day with you is there?
Ardan asked but Obi-Wan didn't answer, he just ran after Leia going one way while Ardan used the Force to true and predict where she was going and cut her off before she gets herself captured, or worse...
