Riku's POV:

I woke up and I looked at the time, it was 6: 35 am. I got up and got ready for school. I then went to the kitchen and saw a note beside a plate of pancakes. I picked up the note and read it.

"Good morning Riku, I made some pancakes for breakfast, I already left to go to Raimon Jr. High. Make sure you don't get late.

I smiled and I said in my thoughts, "Thanks, father."

I ate my breakfast and left the house. While I was walking to school, I met with my friends Kura and Gin. Gin looked behind him and saw me, he then waved at me.

"Ohayo Riku," Gin said.

"Ohayo," I replied and I managed to catch up to them

As the three of us walked our way to class, I looked back at what happened before and now. Before, students were afraid of me and my pals, and now, they would sometimes talk to us. I got to admit, we were total jerks before. We could have never been like the way we are now if it wasn't for someone, Matsukaze. He changed me and my pals, and I couldn't have been more thankful. I then looked back at the things me and my pals done before. We bullied others and forced them to do our bidding. And ever since Matsukaze came, we also messed with him and he never fought back. He uses to be my target, but he is now a friend. Suddenly, I felt someone tap my shoulder. I looked and it was Kura.

"You alright bud?" he asked.

"Yeah, just looking back at the past," I replied.

"Well, I got to admit, we were big jerks before," Gin said.

I slightly smiled at that.

"So Riku, I heard you've been training Tenma right?" Kura asked.

"Yeah, why do you ask?" I asked.

"Well, I just wanna ask if me and Gin could come to watch you two train," Kura said.

"You two can come, but you two must promise not to tell anyone what you guys saw alright?" I said.

"Alright," Kura and Gin said in unison.

When we arrived at the class, we took our seats and the lesson started. After the class was over, we went to the cafeteria to buy lunch. While going to the cafeteria, A student ran out from the corner and accidentally bumped me. I looked at him and it was Hamano. I then helped him up.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

"Yeah, arigato Riku," Hamano said.

"Hey there Riku, Kura, and Gin," I heard someone said.

I looked behind and saw Sangoku, Amagi, Kuramada, Minamisawa, and Hayami.

"Ohayo,"  I replied

All of us continued to go to the cafeteria and bought our lunch. All of us went to a table and sat down.

"How was it training with Tenma?" Kuramada asked.

"I got to admit, he's getting good, " I said and took a bit of the bento.

"To be honest, your friend is really something, " Kura said.

This caught the attention of Tenma's friends.

"Yeah, I'm surprised he managed to handle things, like studies, soccer practice and also training, " Hamano said and took a bit from onigiri.

I smiled in agreement. We talked about things and it feels good to talk to others. After lunch was finished, we said goodbye to Tenma's friends and we went to our classes. Since me and my friends have different classes, we split up. On my way to my class, I saw a student picking up some books from the floor. I went to help them out.

"Arigato, " the girl student said.

I smiled in response and then I went to my class. After school was over, I went to my house to get changed, cause my house is close to the school and I wore my black t-shirt and gray pants. When I exited my house, I saw Kura and Gin waiting at the entrance. They were wearing their casual wear. The three of us went to the soccer building and waited at the bench. The others then arrived and training started again. Today was the same, but it was always great. Kura and Gin also joined the training and they were also good at fighting.

After training was over, all of us left the school and said goodbye to each other. Me, Kura, and Gin were walking and I just remembered something. I had to visit someone.

"Hey Riku," Gin said, "how about all three of us go to my place and play video games."

"No thanks, I have someone to visit," I said.

"Is it her?" Kura asked. I nodded sadly.

"How about we play some other time," I said.

"Alright buddy, be careful," Kura said.

"I will," I said and went to a flower shop.

I bought some white roses and left. I went to the graveyard and went to my mother's grave. I placed the flowers and sat on the grass.

"Hey mother, it's been so long," I said.

"Me and my father missed you. School was alright, everything changed, I got to admit I was a big jerk to others before, but now, thanks to a friend of mine, me and my friends changed for the better. I wasn't very nice because I thought every human was the same. But I then realized, there are humans that are kind and caring, Tenma made me realize that. I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise, I promised to protect my sister but I couldn't," I said and I began to feel disappointed at myself, " Yuki is still missing, but I believe she is still out there, I still promised to someday find my sister. Even if it causes my life. I know, I was irresponsible. But this time, if I ever find my sister, I will promise to protect her at all costs, I swear. I hope you are in a better place now, mother. I love you."

I then stood up and looked at the grave.

"Bye mother," I said.

I then left the graveyard and looked up at the sky. I realized it was getting late and I then went to my home. My father wasn't there yet, so I went to my room and wore my pajamas. I then looked out my window and looked at the stars.

"I will find you someday, Yuki," I said in my mind.
