Chapter 29: A Time and Place for Everything
Nozomi's POV:
I was searching if there are more to know about the Chosen Ones. I have an ability that I could turn into a ghost into the real world that can only be seen by the Chosen One and I could interact with things. I also can transfer the things in the real world and bring a copy of it into the dream world, so I could just touch the books and bring a copy of that book into the dream world, so I could read it. After all, it would be weird if people saw a book on the table with no one reading it or saw it floating in the air. As I continued to read some books from the real world, I then heard someone.
"Hey, Nozomi," the voice was familiar. I turned and saw Tenma.
"Oh, hey Tenma, it was just you," I said and I made the books disappear.
"What were you reading?" Tenma asked as he went to me.
"Oh, I was just trying to do some research about Chosen Ones, nothing good so far," I replied.
I looked around and noticed were in a black void of nothingness.
"Hey Tenma, you wanna the terrain?" I asked.
"Well, yeah, because we're just standing around but nothingness," Tenma said.
I slightly chuckled and said, "Well you can change it, this is the dream world after all. Just think of a place and it will be here."
"Hai!" Tenma replied. He then closed his eyes and the place started to change.
Instead of a black void, it was a terrain with, hills, lots of rocks, and mountains.

Tenma opened his eyes and smiled at me.
"This place looks so beautiful," I said in my mind.
"Let's sit down Nozomi," Tenma said.
I nodded in response and the two of us sat on the rocks. We look at the beautiful sky and the birds. Me and Tenma talked about things and joked a lot together. This does bring back something.
"Hey Nozomi," Tenma said.
I looked at him in confusion.
"Is it alright if I ask you some questions?" Tenma asked.
"Sure, ask me whatever you wanna ask," I said as I gave him a reassuring smile.
"Well, this might be personal, but," Tenma said, "what was your life like before?"
My eyes widened but I immediately was upset as I looked back at the memories. Tenma seemed to notice my expression.
"You don't have to answer that if you don't want to," Tenma said.
"No, I'll tell you," I said. I then looked up at the sky and viewed the clouds as I am about to explain.
"Ever since I was born, my mother left me and my father, because I was a human. She wanted an okamimimi child even though she was human herself. My father was the only one who took care of me and he had a good job, so we could live happily. As I grew up, everything was fine. Until I reached 3rd grade, my powers activated while I was defending a kid from some bullies. I was called a monster and no one wanted to be my friend. But, when I reached 4th grade, I knew it was for the best. When I discovered I was the Chosen One, I knew shouldn't make friends so that they won't have to suffer the pain of losing me. I was alone until high school, I had good grades so I was alright. I never told my father I was the Chosen One and I would train secretly. I also had problems trusting others because I was afraid that they might rat me out. So I always kept silent," I told Tenma about my life but not everything.
I saw Tenma felt bad for me.
"Where is your father now?" Tenma asked.
"I can't tell you right now," I replied.
"Alright, I understand," Tenma said, "want me to tell you mine?"
"No, it's alright," I replied.
I didn't want him to tell me because the truth is, I already know everything. I know he was abused when he was a child and hated in Okinawa before. The only person left that cared was his mother, but she passed away.
"Uhm, Nozomi," Tenma said, "since we have nothing else to do here, is it alright if you train with me?"
I was surprised and I replied, "Sure thing."
We stood up from the rocks and got ready. Tenma closed his eyes and the terrain changed again.

Tenma then transformed into his okamimimi form. I was able to because this is the dream world. I could use my powers here too.
"Ready Nozomi?" Tenma asked.
"Ready when you are," I replied and I created my fire sword.
Since this is the dream world, we don't die here or get hurt. Tenma created his sword and the two of us charged at each other. I tried to slash Tenma, but he used his sword and blocked it. He pushes his sword forward making me back up. He charged towards me and tried to stab, but I jumped up and dodged the attack. I tried to slash him from above, but he made a shield in time and blocks the attack. The shield then started to glow white and I made a forcefield in front of me. Suddenly white beams release from Tenma's shield and blowing me back. I then made my forcefield disappear and I landed on my feet. I then swung my fire sword and created fire sword beams. I saw Tenma make his shield disappear and created a forcefield instead. When the sword beams collided with the forcefield, a lot of smoke was created. I couldn't see what's going on, but I won't just stand there. I then created fire projectiles on the air and fired at Tenma. As the fire projectiles we're getting close, suddenly something blew the fire projectiles and redirect it towards me. I manage to dodge it and I saw the smoke get cleared. Tenma charged towards me and he was about to stab me. I made my sword disappear and was about to knock the sword out of Tenma's hand. But all of a sudden, Tenma made his sword disappear and in its place, a white ball on his hand. A laser fired and it hit. It sent me back and I landed on my feet. I smirked that Tenma managed to trick me.
"Time to end this, " I said in my mind.
I charged at Tenma and when I was getting close, Tenma created his sword again and tried to slash me. But I jumped onto his sword and front flipped behind him. I took the advantage and I pushed him to the ground. I then pinned him down.
"Checkmate, " I said.
"Alright you win, " Tenma said.
I got of Tenma and I helped him up. Tenma then made his sword disappear.
"That was cool, Nozomi, " Tenma said with a smile.
"Thanks, I actually used that on one of the generals before, it's actually kinda useful, " I replied and smiled back, "but I got to admit, your improving in fighting now."
Tenma smiled in response. The two of us took a break and sat on the grass.
"Hey, Nozomi, I have something to ask," Tenma said.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"You said you've been watching me, how long though?" Tenma asked.
I felt kinda bad because, to be honest, I watched him ever since young to now. I felt bad because I also watched him get hurt, I wanted to do something but I couldn't.
"Well, ever since you were 5 years old, " I replied
This surprised Tenma and he said, "really?"
I nodded in response.
"I can go to the real world as a ghost and no one but you can see me, " I added, "surprisingly, I could interact with things. And I'm sorry I couldn't help you when you were getting beaten up."
"It's alright, it's not your fault, " Tenma said. I looked at him and smiled in response.
Suddenly a light appeared in the sky.
"I guess its time for me to wake up now," Tenma said as he got up. He then helped me up.
"Bye Tenma, see you soon," I said with a smile.
"Bye Nozomi," Tenma said and he smiled.
The light exploded and I covered my eyes. After a while, I opened my eyes and Tenma was gone. I looked around and I was in a black void again. I sighed and I activated my powers. A lost memory fragment appeared at my hand and I looked at it sadly.
"I'm sorry I couldn't tell you yet, Tenma," I said in my mind, "I'll tell you went the time is right."
"After all, there is a time and place for everything," I said in my mind.
