Tenma's POV:

It was nighttime and I just finished dinner. I got ready for bed and I went to my room. I laid down on my bed and drifted to sleep.

~In the dream world~

I got up from the ground and I was wearing my Raimon tracksuit. I looked around and I noticed I was in a flower garden.

"I wonder if Nozomi is here, " I said in my mind.

"Nozomi, are you here?" I called out, but no reply.

I looked around and after searching for a while, I saw Nozomi by the river.

"Hey there Nozomi," I said as I went to her.

She turned around and smiled.

"Hey there Tenma, come sit by the river with me," Nozomi said with a smile.

I went beside her and sat down. I looked at the water and it was clear.

"I heard what happened in Okinawa, I'm sorry for your loss," Nozomi said. I looked at her and saw that she was sad.

"Thanks, but I hope she is in a better place now," I said as I leaned back and looked up at the sky.

"I saw how training went, you're getting kinda better at fighting now," Nozomi said.

I slightly chuckled and said, "I still some improvement though."

"Tenma, there is still more you need to know about your power. When you learn it, it might help you more in your fights," Nozomi said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You may think that is the only thing you know about your power, but as you grow stronger, you discover new abilities hidden in it," Nozomi replied. She then stood up.

"For example, think of the water as power or magic, how much can you scoop with just your hands?" Nozomi asked.

I started to think about it and I think I'm getting where this is going.

"Not much, right?" Nozomi said and she helped get up.

"But, the more you train, the stronger you get," Nozomi said as she took some steps forward, "The stronger you get, the more magic you can control." She puts her hand out and suddenly the water starts to go up to the air. It formed different shapes in the air, I was astonished. Nozomi then puts the water back in the river.

"And the more magic you control, the more abilities you might discover," Nozomi said and then she turned the other way and started to walk. I followed her and we walked around the garden.

"Everyone, before you discovered more about their powers, for example, one of them, had the power of water, they thought that they could only control water, but soon they got stronger and discovered more of their power. They discovered that they could breathe underwater and even make it themselves. Soon enough, they acquired the skill to shapeshift into water. Then they discovered another ability, it was to use the power of ice," Nozomi said.

"That sounds cool," I said.

"It does, but you should also be careful with what you do with your power," Nozomi replied, "if you become reckless, it could cause chaos or even. Your life."

I was shocked by what she said.

"Everyone has their limits if you go over it too much, you will suddenly feel a lot of pain," Nozomi said and she stopped walking, "if you're wondering why, well that's simple. It's because if you run out of energy to use magic, it will use your life energy instead."

"I see what you mean," I said.

The two of us then sat down on a bench and looked at the flowers.

"Tenma, whatever it takes, get stronger and takedown Nemesis, " Nozomi said.

"Alright," I said, "but I have a question."

She looks at me in confusion and said, "yeah, what is it?"

"How do you know all of this?" I asked.

She was silent and then she stood up from the bench.

"I will tell you, " She said as she stepped towards the flowers, "as long as you promise not to tell this to anyone."

"I promise, " I said.

She then sighed and turned to me.

"The truth is, I am one of your ancestors, " Nozomi said in a serious tone.

"Eh?!" I said I was surprised by this.

"Your one of my ancestors?" I said as I stood from the bench.

"Yeah, believe it or not, " Nozomi said.

"Can all of the before ancestors talk to the next one?" I asked.

"No, so far I'm the first one, " Nozomi replied.

"Then how did you know about the ancestor with the power of water?" I asked.

"She was mentioned in my history class, you know when I was alive. And apparently, she was the past Chosen One before me, " she replied.

"Oh, " I said, "I have some questions to ask."

"Sure thing what is it?" Nozomi asked with a smile.

"Well, what was your power before and how we're you able to talk to me when you're dead?" I asked.

"Well, my power is fire and water. My original is just fire, I can create fire and manipulate it. Then I discovered more of my power, I could withstand very hot temperatures and more. As I got even stronger I could create things from fire, like this, " Nozomi said and then a fire sword appeared from her hands. She kept the sword away from the flowers and other things that could burn. She then made the sword disappear.

"I discovered I got another ability, and it was water. Apparently, the past one's original power gets past on to the next Chosen One. Meaning the ancestor that has the power of water, was the last Chosen One before me, " Nozomi added, " so when you get strong enough, you might be able to use fire magic. Next is how I am able to speak to you when I am dead. Well, it's an ability that would activate when a Chosen One dies. It's called, the 'Death Ability'. Every Chosen One has it, even you, although we are unsure about what it is. Example of the ability, one of the past Chosen Ones died and they're 'Death Ability' immediately activates, they manage to defeat one of the Nemesis okamimimis, then when they died, their spirit takes down another Nemesis okamimimi with them in death. Do you understand?"

"Hai!" I said.

"Well, that is what I can tell you for now about the Chosen Ones. If I have more info I can tell you here, " Nozomi said, "are their other things you have to ask?"

"Well, I do have something to ask, " I said.

She tilted her head in confusion.

"Do you know anything about Nemesis, like their abilities or something?" I asked.

"Well, I still remember their past abilities. Since there are only three left, I can tell you what they can do before, " Nozomi said, "the third leader had the power of magic control, meaning he could use any elemental power. The second had the power of thought, they could tell what you are thinking of, mess with your mind, or even mind control. And finally the first, they had the ability to see the future and can change it. But, they could only change the twenty seconds into the future."

"Although every time Nemesis does a soul transfer, their abilities would rather change or have the same ability. And they also have the memories of their old selves. Meaning they will remember what happened in their past lives before the soul transfer. But there is a condition, they may remember their past lives before the soul transfer, but they will forget about their lives before the life before the soul transfer, " Nozomi added.

"Oh, I get it, thanks for telling me, " I said.

"Your welcome, Tenma, " Nozomi said and smiled. I smiled back.

Suddenly a bright light appears above. The two of us look at it for a bit and then looked at each other.

"Well, I guess it's time for you to wake up now, bye Tenma, see you soon, " Nozomi said with a smile, "And remember, don't tell anyone about this unless I say so."

"Hai!" I replied with a smile, "bye Nozomi, talk to you soon."

After I said that, the light burst and now all I could see was white.

I woke up on my bed and looked at the time on my alarm clock, it was 6:43. I got off my bed and got ready for school. After I finished getting ready, I left the manor and ran my way to school.
