Tenma's POV:

I woke up and I found myself lying on a bed. I sat up and I heard a familiar voice.

"I see your awake."

I turned and saw Riku sitting on a chair reading a book. He then closes the book and places it on the desk.

"Where are we?" I asked. He didn't make eye contact.

"We're in my room," He replied.

"Why am I in his room?" I asked in my thoughts and I saw some scratch marks and wounds on him, "Was he the intruder, if so, he must have saved me."

"Hey Riku," I said.

"What?" he asked.

"We're you the one who saved me?" I said.

He was silent and then sighed, "yes, I may be rude but I'm an Alpha, I do what I do."

"Thanks, Riku," I said.

We were both silent. I then decided to ask.

"Hey Riku, I have a question," I said.

"Man, you sure ask a lot, what is it?" Riku replied.

"Why do you hate humans so much?" I asked. I saw Riku had a shocked expression, his expression then changed to serious. He was silent, and then finally he spoke.

"Why should I tell you?" Riku said.

"Well, I was also wondering, before, in our fight in the soccer building, I was able to hear you say something. You mentioned someone named 'Yuki'. Who is she?" I asked. Riku then banged his hand on the desk. I was shocked.

"What do you know?!" Riku shouted, "why does that matter to you?!"

"Riku-" I was about to say something, but I didn't know what else to say.

"You wanna know why I hate your kind?" he said, "I guess I will tell you, I can't hold it back anymore."

I felt bad for Riku, who knows what he had gone through. I then listened to what he had to say.

"Well, when I was young, the human kids always bullied me. No human treated me with kindness. When I discovered my alpha ability, things got worse. The human kids called me a monster and would beat me up. They wanted me to use it but I refused. My sister was one of the only ones that cared about me, she is an okamimimi. Always happy, bubbly and kind. I never wanted to lose her. Well actually, my family is the only one that cared about me. But one day, my mother was killed, she was robbed by three humans and was killed by them. I was sad that I lost her, she didn't deserve to die. I still miss here, now I only had my father and my little sister." Riku said, he then sighed, "But of course, the saying goes, nothing lasts forever. We went to the park one day and I went to buy ice cream when I was about to talk to Yuki, she was gone, I searched for her and when I found her. I saw three human men trying to put her in a van. I went to save her and the men rode the van and drove off. That day, I lost my little sister. I loved her and yet I couldn't protect her." Riku then started to cry a little bit.

I didn't know what to say, but I manage to say, "I'm so sorry Riku."

Riku whipped his tears and then said, "from that day, I hated your kind. Come to think of it, I still decided to save you even though I despise your kind," he slightly chuckled.

"I did it because I never wanted that to happen to others, " Riku added.

"You did the right thing Riku, " I said.

"And you're not the only one who lost someone you cared about," I said and I looked down, I then saw Riku look at me in a surprised look. I then looked back at what I said, "forget I said that."

Riku then turned away from me.

"Riku, I know it must be hard, but not all humans are cruel. Some humans are kind and sweet. Not everyone is mean," I said.

"Why are you being nice to me even after all the things I've done to you and your friends?" Riku asked as he slightly looked at me.

"Because everyone deserves kindness and doesn't deserve to be treated badly," I replied as I got up. Riku then looked at me in a surprised expression.

"Heh, your really something," Riku said as he got up from his chair, "I will be right back, I need to get cleaned up."

He then opened the door of his room and he then stopped walking. He then said, "Hey, Matsukaze."

I looked at him in confusion.

"I'm sorry for being a jerk to you," he said and I smiled in response.

He then left the room, I went to the living room and I got to admit, this is a pretty big house. After a few minutes, Riku went to me.

"Let's go," Riku said.

"Go where?" I asked tilting my head a little bit.

"To the school, your friends might be worried," Riku said. The realization then struck.

"Oh yeah, I forgot, my friends must be wondering where I am. And surely they called the police to find us," I said.

"Then let's go," Riku said.

The two of us ran our way to school and saw the police at the gate talking to the principal, Riku's friends, my friends, coach Endou, and Otonashi-sensei. Aoi saw us and ran to me.

"Tenma!" Aoi called out as she ran to me. This caught everyone's' attention. My friends ran to me.

"I know guys, go ahead," I said. Me and my friends did a group hug. I saw Riku hugging his father and his friends.

Me and my friends stopped hugging and I smiled at them.

"We're glad your alright Tenma," coach Endou said.

"Where we're you and why was Riku with you?" Midori asked.

"It's a long story," I said as I rubbed the back of my head.

"Hey," I heard Riku said. Me and my friends faced him. But I knew what's gonna happen next.

"I just wanna say," Riku said and he then bowed, "I'm sorry for everything I've done, I've been a jerk and a bad alpha. I know you can't forgive me, I deserve it. I will take responsibility for my actions. But I hope you accept my apology, " Riku then straighten back up.

"Us too, we're also sorry for everything, " Kura said. Gin was beside. They both bowed as well.

"Gomenasai!" The two of them said in unison. They then straighten back up.

"It's alright, we forgive you guys, " Shinsuke said.

This surprised Riku.

"You guys may have done bad things, but everyone makes mistakes and you guys deserve a second chance, " Shindou said.

Riku smiled as well as Kura and Gin. I was happy it worked out somehow. Everyone can change their ways to good, it just needs understanding and kindness.
