Tenma's POV:

~In the dream world~

I opened my eyes and found myself in a forest, I decided to look around and then I heard something nearby, it sounded like water. I went to where the sound came from and when I arrived, I saw a waterfall and someone was by it. It was the same person I saw last time, it was Hiromi, one of my ancestors. I slowly walked to her and then stopped in my tracks.

"Uh, hello?" I said.

She then turned to face me. It was pretty awkward since the two of us weren't talking for a bit.

"So your Hiromi, right?" I asked.

"Yeah," she replied.

"I already know your name, so no need to introduce yourself," she added, "So, your the current Chosen One, right?"

"H-hai," I replied.

"So, I am guessing you are wondering why I am here, is that correct?" She said.

"Hai," I replied.

"Well, I've seen your fight against a general who was your father and saw the way you fight. So I decided to watch over you for a bit," Hiromi said.

I felt a little sad about the topic of the past fight, I still remember it clearly like it was yesterday.

"But not just because I am interested, but also to make sure you don't make the same mistake as me," Hiromi added, which made me confused.

"What do you mean by 'make the same mistake as you'?" I asked.

"I guess it's better to show you then tell you," Hiromi said and then snapped her fingers.

Suddenly my surroundings changed and a water bubble appeared around me. I touched it and I couldn't faze through it. Hiromi was on an ice platform and was next to the bubble I was in. The area changed and I saw what looked like a battlefield.

"Where are we?" I asked as I looked at Hiromi.

"We are in the past, this is the time I was fighting against Nemesis," Hiromi said, "And also the day I died."

I was shocked by what she said. Then I looked at the field and saw them fighting.

"Wait, can't they see or hear us?" I asked.

"They can't, this is a memory," Hiromi replied.

On the field, Hiromi was fighting against Nemesis. Hiromi turned into water and moved around. She appeared behind a leader and was about to slash him, but the master knew better. Since Hiromi didn't fully turn human, meaning her lower half was still water, the leader used his ice powers and froze the bottom half of Hiromi. The leader then teleported away and Hiromi crashed onto the floor, breaking her ice lower half. Hiromi couldn't feel her lower anymore and the leader stood in front of her raising his sword. He brought it down and killed Hiromi.

Tenma was horrified by the scene. But then when he saw Hiromi turn into water again and created her figure, she was now made of water. This was her after death ability, she created her sword and charged at Nemesis. The one with ice and fire powers tried to freeze her, but she created a water wall and it froze. Another Nemesis okamimimi fired a projectile, but she turned into a puddle of water and dodges it. She slid under the one with ice and fire powers and appeared behind him. She then stabbed the Nemesis okamimimi and he then turned into black smoke. When she was about to run out of time, she quickly rushed another one and appeared in the air behind him. She created a spear and fired at the Nemesis okamimimi. He got stabbed in the head and turned to black smoke. She then disappeared cause she ran out of time.

Everything then turned black and we appeared back to the waterfall. The bubble around me also seemed to have disappeared.

"I was so careless and stubborn with my powers that it killed me. But hey, at least I manage to defeat two of the leaders,"  Hiromi said with her back facing me while I felt bad for her.

"If you don't want to die the same way I did, I suggest learning more about your powers and know what you should and shouldn't do it situations," Hiromi added, as she turned to me, "After all, our actions always have consequences."

"I understand," I said.

"Well, that's good, be careful and good luck, Matsukaze. You will need it," Hiromi said with a smile.

"Arigato," I said with a smile.

Then a light appeared in the sky, meaning it was time for me to wake up.

"Well, you got to go now. I hope we see each other again, Tenma-kun," Hiromi said with a smile and I smiled back in response.

The light then burst and engulfed everything.

~Dream end~

I woke up and looked around. I saw I was the only one awake, I checked the time and I was early. So I got out of bed and got ready for the day. I left the cabin and decided to head to the training grounds. I went to the river and started to jump from rock to rock. But then something unexpected happened. When I landed on the next rock, it came loose.

"Nani?" I said in my mind still pretty shocked.

I fell into the water. I opened my eyes and was about to swim back up. When suddenly, I felt something grab my foot. I looked and saw a black tentacle grabbing my leg. I tried to transform to my okamimimi form, making a white aura appear around me, but then the tentacle banged me to a rock and hit my head. I started to feel my consciousness fade and then everything went black.

After what felt like hours, I opened my eyes and found myself lying on a bed. I looked at my surroundings and it looked like I was in an infirmary. I went into a sitting position and touched my head. It had some bandages and I wasn't wearing my jacket.

"I see your awake," I heard someone said.

I looked at where the voice came from and saw Charis. She had a worried expression on her face.

"How are you feeling?" Charis asked.

"I am alright, thanks," I said with a smile, "What happened?"

"Well, I was looking around and then saw you walking to the river. I was curious so I followed you," Charis replied, "When I saw you fall into the river, I ran to help you. I then brought you here."

"Oh, thanks again," I said with a smile, "Where are the others, and how long was I out for?"

"They are outside, and you were out for a couple of minutes, except Emily is in the doctors office. They were worried about you," Charis said, "You can go out now though since Emily healed up your wound. I will just have to remove the bandages if you don't mind."

Charis went close and removed the bandages.

"There you go, you may leave now since you guys have an activity to do," Charis said with a smile.

"Hai, and thanks for saving me," I said as I got up from the bed. Before I left I looked at Charis and said, "Btw, can you tell Emily that I thank her for healing me please."

"Sure thing Tenma," Charis replied with a smile.

I smiled as a thank you and then left to go to the others.
