Recap:

"Oh my god"

"What happened in here?" the man spoke to Ella.

"Uhh..Ell-I mean the ice princess, was just showing me some of her powers." I lied to him.

"Alright well, I'm terribly sorry but you," he said pointing at me. "have to leave, the Princess has to attend a meeting with her mother."

"No problem, bye ice princess!" I told Ella.

"Good luck!"

When I got home I was pounded with a million questions from my parents.

"Where were you?!"

"Are you ok?"

"What happened?!"

"Hey!" I screamed, trying to get their attention. They finally stood quiet.

I can't believe I have to lie to my own parents. "During school I came out of the bathroom and saw a girl frozen in a block of ice and no one could Un-thaw her so the teachers and I went to the Ice castle.."

I explained the whole story to them, their expressions changing throughout the whole explanation and left after asking a million more questions. What I did was go to my room and practice my powers and after an hour of casting spells, my whole room was covered in frost, ice, and snow.

*knock, knock, knock*

I stopped my powers and started to panic. "Yeah?"

"Hey Mads, can I talk to you?" My brother Kyle said through the door.

"Uh...just a second."

"Please! It's really important." He begged me.

"Erm..."

I focused on melting  the frost, ice, and snow.

"Ok. I'm coming in"

"No!" I heard my door creak and I open my eyes,  revealing Kyle with his mouth hung open.

"What-who? Maddie, who did this?" He said in a stern voice.

"I um...don't know, I just-" I started to say before he interrupted me.

"No! Maddie, stop with the lies!! Don't stick up for the ice princess." His hands ball into fists in anger.

I had to tell him. I needed help right now! "I am the ice princess." I said shyly.

"No you're not! Why do you have to lie to me?"

Before he could say anything, I made a ball of fire on my left hand and a ice one on my right.

"What the hell?" Was all he replied. "B-but...then who's the one who's been ruling the kingdom for 2 years?"

"Her name is Ella. I went there with the teachers because I was a witness and they thought that Ella froze her but she said that she didn't and-" I was explaining.

"Wait!" He said interrupting me. "Who's 'her'?"

"I kinda-sorta-maybe froze Kelly Deen...."

"WHAT!?"

"I didn't mean to! She tried throwing a fireball at me but my hands made her fireball shrivel up and die out. Then I said I was sorry and an icy blast came out of my mouth and froze her!!" I took a deep breath and stared at him.

"It didn't effect you at all? But fire beats snow, ice, even frost!!"

"I don't know. That's the weird thing" I explained to him.

"Here let me clean this place up before mom and dad come in and see this." He began to make a flame but I stopped him.

"I've got this. I need to practice anyways" I said, creating a protected fire with my hand and dissolving all of the snow.

"Wow! I didn't know you could do that too!" he exclaimed with wide eyes.

He stood there looking at me in disbelief. His red short-sleeved shirt was a little big on him but it went over his black pants. Then there was his black, natural hair color so perfect. He's like 20 years old but he still acts like a 3 year old..HONESTLY.

I woke up to my alarm clock for school and jumped out of bed immediately. I ran to the shower and stripped off my clothes. Then I turned on the water and rinsed my hair and washed my body.

I dried myself then put on a light blue eye shadow with a little bit of eyeliner and mascara. Once I swirled my hair into curls, I grabbed my ephone, epod and school bags then ran to catch the bus.

When I entered the familiar halls once more, everyone was staring at me. Someone came up and asked me what happened with Kelly, so I told them that the Ice princess was sending out a team to find out who did it.

I started walking to class when I ran into someone and all of my stuff was knocked to the floor. Classic story. I looked up to see a guy about 5'10'' with short auburn brown hair. He had green eyes that could make any girl melt over him. The guy had on a blue t-shirt that says 'Haterz gonna hate' with dark blue jeans.

"Sorry."He told me, handing me my stuff.

"It's fine." I told him. After I got my stuff back in order, I looked at him again. "Hey, I'm Maddie." I stuck out my hand for him to shake.

He granted the gesture and replied, "Hi, I'm Donovan."

We both pulled back frantically, blushing.

"Well...I've gotta get to class, so.." I explained calmly.

"Oh, right. Bye Maddie."

"Bye!"

(After school)

"So what kind of fire do you have?"

Damion and I were out back at school. He was asking me to show him what I could do with fire.

"Umm..." I brought out a flame of fire to show him.

"Wow! That's extraordinary!" He exclaimed. "I can't even do that..and I'm a dark warrior!"

I stopped breathing when I heard the words, 'dark warrior'. "What?"

"What? I-I've gotta go! bye." Then he dissapeared.

"Dark warrior?" I said out loud to myself.

When I got home, I ran to Kyles room. I didn't even bother knocking, I just opened his door. He sat there on his bed, listening to his music. "Kyle." I tapped the end of his bed. "Kyle." I say a bit louder. "KYLE!" I screamed at him, pulling his ear buds out.

"What?" he jumped up, about to kill someone.

"What's a Dark warrior?" I asked him.

He looked at me like I was nuts. "Why?"

"Because this new kid, Donovan, told me he was one."

"Stay away from him Maddie." He ordered me.

"What is it?"

He stands up and grabs my shoulders. "If I know anything from being an adult, is that I can't tell you if I want to protect you."

I laugh lightly. "An adult? You're hardly a teenager. Just tell me, I'm already in trouble." I explain.

He sighed. "It means he's an evil presence that loves destruction and chaos. Ever since 1089, they've been trying to kill the Ice Princess to gain ruler ship of the world and change it into darkness."

"How do they kill her? I mean me. I mean..yeah." I asked.

A small laugh escapes his lips. I feel a sudden hop in my heart when he laughs. Huh, thats odd. "Well, it's been the same since. They find her easily because the ruler of the dark world puts his son in charge of making the Ice Princess fall in love with him, then marries her. Finally he is the prince, technically King, and since there was no queen or king since 1936, him and his son will kill her and take over the world."

"So Donovan is just here trying to get me to marry him to kill me?" My mind was racing through questions everywhere.

"I guess so, and that's why you need to stay away from him. To do that, I'll take you to school and never leave your side."

"Thanks Kyle." I gave him a hug and he hugged back. The spark returns when his skin comes in contact with mine.

"No problem sis, that's what big brothers do." He's my brother, what is happening? But before I can answer my own question, something stirs inside of me.

"Wait." I stopped hugging him.

"What?" he questioned me.

"How do they know I'm the real Ice princess?"
