Song - Normal by Sasha Sloan
Why - Nick and Sabrina both struggle with who they are and where they fit in.

Harvey sighs and lowers his shotgun. "What happened tonight?"

"I'm pretty sure your girlfriend just saved the entire town." Nickolas Scratch looks around as he leans on the door frame. He can sense the dark magic in the air. She signed her name in the book.

"She's not my girlfriend. Not anymore—Why did you show up here?" Nick doesn't hesitate, "she asked me so I came". "No, why? Are you—are you guys?" "She loves you, mortal," Nicks' head falls down slightly, "she'd die for you. Maybe that's worth forgiving her."

Nick leaves the mortals house. All dangers have passed with the simple addition of a name to a book, the devil's book. Harvey closes the door behind the warlock; the dark-haired beautifully built magical man that protected him at the simple whim of Sabrina.

Nick climbs into the window. Salem purrs. "Goodnight Aunt Zelda and Hilda," the witch of the night calls. He sits on the bed with only the moonlight lighting the room. The witch enters her room, closes the door, falls back against the door as her eyes fall shut, and her mouth forms a deep sigh.

"Rough night?" She doesn't jump or react. She doesn't open her eyes. He removes himself from her bed, walks to her, bends his head, and exams her with a studious gaze. "You saved the town. Everyone is safe. Harvey is safe," her only reaction is the up and down motion of her chest and a single tear caught on her lashes.

He steps into her her secular circle. His head falls onto her neck and hers into his. His arms wrap around her waist hugging her to him. "Bonus Omnia mea," he whispers." Lifting her head up slightly, their cheeks touching, "Latin?" She groans, "that is the first class I have received a B in."

Nicholas laughs softly; their bodies shake together as it vibrates through their spines. "So," Her eyelashes flutter against his cheek. "So.." he mocks. "So," she puts her right hand against his chest and her right foot between his legs, "what does it mean?"

He sucks in his breath appalled, "oh my Satan. Father Blackwood! Father!" He looks around. She grabs his right hand with her other hand that is not resting on his chest. "Not funny," she pouts. "It means," he cups her cheek. Their hands intertwined, her hand grasping his shirt, and his head leaned down close enough to kiss her lips. All mockery gone—he gazes at her with solid sincerity.

"All is good, my love," he smiles his crooked smile. "My love?" Her eyes float up to his, "damn I'm bad at Latin," she laughs trying to lighten the mood. In a quick fluid motion she places a kiss at the corner of his lips. "Thank you. I owe you," she steps around him, "big."

"No," he grabs her hand, "I'm trying this new thing the mortals call friends." "Oh?" She stares at Salem who sits cleaning his paws on her pillow. Nick stares at the wall with a smirk, "plus there's a thing called friends with benefits." Sabrina releases a laugh. He pulls her and she twirls dramatically into his arms and falls against the wall.

"Your debt to me is paid simply by allowing me to accompany you in your human endeavors. I find them replenishing." "What human endeavors do you wish to experience Nickolas Scratch?"  His fingers catch the end of her white hair, "Take me through a mundane day in Sabrina Spellman's mortal life."

Sabrina leans her head against the wall. She can feel the warlocks eyes diving into her promised soul. "I wake up."

"Good Morning Aunties," Sabrina slips down the stairs to greet the Spellmans'.  "Ambrose," Sabrina nods to her cousin as she sits down in one of the two empty seats. "Where is our guest?" Aunt Zelda smirks. "Zelda!" Aunt Hilda scolds. "Oh grow up Hilda they slept in the same room. A bold beautiful witch and an unholy warlock. What do you think happened?"

"Things you can't imagine," Nick kisses Zelda's cheek, "good morning," then Hilda's cheek. A nod is thrown at a smirking Ambrose. "We talked and slept that's it." Sabrina rolls her eyes. "So," Aunt Zelda peers over her morning obituaries, "what does your day entitle?"

"Mortal school," Nickolas recites from last nights conversation, "lunch sent straight from Heaven, more school, and she refuses to give any more information." "This is a marvelous idea!" Aunt Hilda bubbles with happiness.

"Yes—socializing with mortals...such a marvelous idea Hilda," Aunt Z glares at her sister.

"School time," Nickolas hops up and swings Sabina's bag over his shoulder. "Have fun cousin." Walking out of the Spellman house the duo walk the broken path to the mortal school. "Are you bored yet?" Sabrina asks as she adjusts her black hair band. "I love that you are keeping it white. It's...powerful." He walks in a daze for a moment before responding to her question. "No, watching you spin in front of the mirror this morning was highly amusing and praise Satan your aunts are hilarious."

Sabrina laughs, "they are, aren't they." She watches as Nick carefully kicks the rocks out of her way. He protects her, but he doesn't expect her to expect him or need him to protect her. "It's nice spending the morning with a family." "They are your family too Nick," she pushes his shoulder lightly with hers, "you save me and helped save the town that makes you part of the family in every Spellman's eyes."

"Sabrina, I know today is my day in Sabrina Spellman's mortal life but do you want to discuss what happened last night?" Stopping at the end of the forest, they can hear the calm water of Sweet Water river, "that is part of the mortal life of Sabrina isn't it? At least now it is. It's all merging Nickolas. For as long as I've known about my powers I've lived two separate lives and now..."

"You've signed you name in the book." Nick watches as her jaw becomes strained and she grinds her teeth in frustration. "I sold my soul. I sold it! It's not my own. I— I shouldn't be any where near my mortal friends." She turns her back to her school. "I am a full witch now. I belong to the devil and I must do his bidding. How can I risk their lives? Because of my own wants?"

Nickolas leans against a tree, "you are right. You are a full witch. Always have been. Sabrina we all signed our name in that book. All of us including your father. Did he give up on your mother?

"You are both mortal and witch and Sabrina that is what makes you powerfully unique," his right hand caresses her chin. "We as witches bask unashamed in sinful luxuries, but you realize that we need more. You have shown me the missing link to who I am. Sabrina you taught me the most important piece of being alive all because you are mortal and witch."

"What is that missing link?" She looks doubtful but she is unable to escape his gaze. "Love. You have taught me how to love," He sucks the air from her lungs. "We may have signed away our soul but this mortal magic makes me feel as if I gifted my soul to someone else."

Their eyes stay connected. Their breath mixing together. "I want to kiss you." Sabrina feels her heart beat faster than it ever has. Faster than her first kiss with Harvey. Faster than last night. Faster than stripping in front of Harvey.

He leans in far enough but not close enough.

"PreCal?" Nickolas looks amazed. "Sabrina you take Satanic Calculus and mortal PreCal!" Sabrina laughs around a mouthful of school lunch. "This lunch is straight from Heaven..." he scrunches his nose. "By high Hell it's revolting."

"Good Morning," Sabrina greets Rosalind, Susie, and Harvey. Nick observes how Harvey awkwardly avoids both his and Sabrina's eyes. "Morning 'Brina." "Actually Guys," Susie sits next to Nickolas, "it's Theo now."

"Cool!" Rosalind smiles. "I love it," Sabrina reaches over Nicks lap to give her friend a hug. The long couch comfortably sits all three of them, but Nick can't help but think it would be more comfortable with the witch in his lap. "Theo," he nods as Sabrina slides slowly back to her seat. He catches her eyes and throws a quick wink.

"There was a warlock I knew with that name. He was very powerful." Theo smiles at the compliment. "So, What brings you here Nickolas?" The question is asked by Rosalind.

"As repayment for my services last night," he steals Sabrina's untouched milk, "Sabrina has promised me a day of mortal fun." "Mortal fun? Like school? You know magic yet you wish to sit through PreCal?" Harvey throws way his untouched food and pulls out the homework.

"Yes, mortal," Sabrina throws him a glance as his voice drops an octave, "I find this wildly entertaining and," his eyes fall on Sabrina as his normal tone returns, "anything with Sabrina is a wish come true." "Precal?" Sabrina stands. "Praise Satan."

Theo looks skeptical at the warlock, "precal is nothing to be excited about. Trust me." "After you've taken Satanic Calculus it is." He offers out his hand to take Theo and Rosalind's trash.

The trio sit in their normal spots. "Mr. P," Sabrina walks up to the teachers desk with Nickolas behind her, "my (their original plan was cousin but that didn't fit) friend from Salem is here for the day. I was wondering can he take the seat behind me? Lukas normally sits there and he is out today."

"Yes, Yes. Of course," Mr. P waves them away. "Friend from Salem?" Nickolas sets her bag down by her desk. She hasn't lifted it all day. "Cousins isn't really believable...and Salem just seemed to fit." Nickolas notices the knowing smirk Rosalind gives. He sits behind the witch and observes how the trio interacts.

Harvey Kinkle was no longer the boy holding tightly to a rifle. He was simply a boy. A jealous boy. Jealousy was an emotion Nickolas never understood. The Dark Lord allowed them to forgo that emotion, yet he felt he was becoming to understand it now.  He wasn't jealous of Harvey and his romantic inklings for the witch of his affections, but jealous of the time and knowledge he has acquired over the many years with her.

Although it seems that the boy is far to willing to throw all of those moments away simply because of a resurrection spell gone awry.

Rosalind sits to Sabrina's right and Theo sits just behind her. Looking to his left he catches the eyes of Theo. He is fidgeting with the paper on his desk. "Something bothering you?"

"I'm just afraid about gym." Nickolas looks at the boy confused. "Why? Oh," recollection dawns. "Mortals aren't so accepting are they?" Theo shakes his head. "There is a spell..." Sabrina turns her head to listen carefully. "No!" Harvey shouts gaining the attention of a little less than half of the class, all of which who weren't on their phones.

"Susie—Theo," Harvey trips over his words before he whispers, "you don't need magic." He says magic like a child would say bitch. "It's dangerous and dark." Nickolas watches as Sabrina's careful calm breaks slightly.

"You have simply seen one side of magic mortal," there is carefully stiched venom in his words, "and might I remind you that you are sitting with two people who have promised their lives to magic. Magic is who we are."

"You could really help me?" Theo looks between Nick and Sabrina. Sabrina nods just as Mr. P decides to begin the lesson.

"By Satin that was a bore. How do you sit through that day after day?" Nickolas swings the young witches bag over his shoulder. "Not a single word about the false gods teachings," Nick whispers into Sabrina's ear. Nick enjoys watching Harvey's cheeks turn red, but he loves Sabrina's soft blush more.

"Gym?" He asks quickly grabbing Sabrina's hand as a herd of students rush down the hall. When the animals pass they fail to release their hands which catches the eyes of Rosalind. "Come on Sabrina, we better go change." The girl urges her friend into the changing room. "Be brave Theo. You got this." Sabrina hugs the stressed mortal before following Rosalind.

"Okay," Theo takes a deep breath, Harvey to caught up in his own thoughts pushes open the door to Theo's biggest challenge of the day.

"You got this," Nickolas repeats Sabrina's reassuring words. He adds, "and if they piss me off oh Satan they won't do it again." Theo gives the warlock a small smile before pushing open the door.

The schools mortal boys stand half naked. Eyes do not wonder. Nickolas almost laughs at their trained innocence. Poor creatures.

Theo walks to a locker by Harvey's. It was assigned by Miss Wardwell. "Here are some clothes," Harvey pointed to the bench. Picking them up Nickolas doesn't hide his disgust. "We all have to wear them. You wanted the mortal experience."

"Hey! What the hell do you think you are doing in here girl?" A blond jock shouts. "Changing," Nickolas answers shocking Theo. "And I can assure you I am no girl." The jock looks stunned. "Not you." "I think it was very clear who you were talking to." Nickolas steps toward the mortal. "Everyone else in here is clearly a male Greendale student. I know I have a pretty face but no need for unwanted accusations."

The jock stands dumbfounded. No one else dares to speak. The warlock emits an air of frustrated power. "Let's go ladies!!" The coach shouts.

"That was," Theo laughs , "amazing!" His laughter floats behind them as they run. "And not a spell was used, are you sure you can't just enroll here permanently?" "You don't need magic or me. Theo, you just be you and to Heaven with anyone who says otherwise." "That was impressive," Harvey says after taking a deep breath.

After the boys run and work through a supposedly rigorous work out they are mixed with the girls.

"He's hot," Rosalind pushes her wild hair out of her glasses. "Roz! I—I just broke up with Harvey." Rosalind points toward the boys in the climbing rope. Harvey drops to the ground and Nickolas climbs the rope effortlessly. His muscles flex as they are on perfect display. Harvey's shirt is a size too small on the fit warlock; therefore, his developed muscles are enhanced.

"Sabrina you are sixteen. Love is changing. We are constantly adjusting our definition of the word. You remember freshman year when I was convinced I was in love with James Carter? And then a week later I completely forgot about him. We are teenagers. You just happen to be a teenager with magic. Harvey Kinkle has made his choice. I love him but goodness he needs to grow up. If you like Nick go for it."

Sabrina looks at her friend appreciatively. "Thank you Roz. Thank you for being such a great friend. I know I haven't been..." Sabrina looks down at the floor. "It's all good Sabrina." "No it's not. I've been a sucky friend lately. I'm sorry. I've been trying to figure stuff out and instead of holding you and Theo, and Harvey, close I've pushed you away. I love you Roz." The girls hug just as Theo climbs up the rope.

He struggles a little more than the 90 pound freshman before him but he makes it.

"How was the locker room?" The group stands by the bleachers. "It was great! Nick was hilarious. You should have seen Caleb's face," Theo and Harvey laugh.

Nick caches Sabrina's eyes and they exchange a silent conversation. "I've got to go to basketball practice," Harvey tells the groups and waves bye. "Yah," Theo and Rosalind mumble some sort of excuse and leave. Sitting on the bleachers the satanic duo sit in silence.

"Thank you for helping Theo. They just don't understand." Sabrina shakes her head in disgust at the jocks. "It's odd. I was raised if you want something take it. Nothing you could ever crave is taboo, yet these mortals live within the confines of morality." Nick shakes his head and laughs before capturing Sabrina in his gaze. "But look at me now, Sabrina Spellman you are turning me mortal."

Sabrina thinks back to Roz's words., "if you like Nick go for it."

"Nick I—I want this too and I understand that you are used to having every women and man in your bed like that," she snaps her fingers, "but I just can't do that. If this happens then it is all in. No crazy triplets, no wild orgies, all in."

"Is it insane that I'm ready to give up all of that just to hold your hand?" Sabrina looks down at her hands, "no. It's not insane." "Sabrina, will you go on a date with me?" The young witch smiles brightly as the warlock sitting before her asks her on a mortal outing.

"Where are we going Nickolas?" Her smile widens as he stands and takes her hand. "Where ever you go on a date in this town."

"There is this little diner attached to the store Aunt Hilda works at," Sabrina can't keep the corners of her lips down. "Perfect," Nickolas opens the door to the gym.

"I'll meet you at the front of the school?" The warlock asks. Sabrina nods and they both head back to the dressing rooms to escape the Heavenly gym clothes.

"Thank Satan," Nick exclaims as he walks beside Sabina. Sabrina laughs as he pets his clothes. "This is nice. It's a breathe of fresh air." She twirls as they walk though a pile of leaves. "I love Rosalind and Harvey and Theo, but they don't understand. They try and I don't blame them but they don't understand." Nickolas watches as the earth listens to her unspoken spell. The leaves blow in a tunnel around her picking up flowers in their path. She looks like a Dark Queen. "It's nice to be fully accepted."

She stops spinning and the whole world freezes. The leaves and flowers are stuck in suspension. "It's the best feeling ever," he steps through the tunnel causing the earth to exclaim its disappointment by dropping the leaves back to the ground.

"We are stepping into uncharted territory Spellman," Nickolas caresses her cheek. "And may the world shake in terror."

"I'll have the same," Nickolas doesn't open his menu. Observing his surroundings he thinks of Sabrina. He wants her. She's attractive, sexy, and powerful. But it goes beyond lust. There are plenty of men and women lined up to complete his fantasies yet only one person consumes his fantasies. Sabrina Spellman.

Why is it that he is having forbidden thoughts such as love and faith? It's her. She is the reason his heart speeds up. She is the reason for his shortness of breath. She is the reason for his sudden disinterest in the weird sisters. She is the reason he is risking his rank and his unholy spot in the only family he has ever known.

"So How was the mortal experience?" Theo appears behind him. Rosalind and Harvey follow. "It was," he gazes at the white haired witch sitting in front of him, "eye opening."

"Do you mind if we—ow!" Harvey rubs his arm. Rosalind looks unapologetic and interjects, "we were just ordering to go. You two have a unholy night," she smiles. Sabrina tried to hide the soft chuckle that escapes her lips.

"Did she just—?" Nickolas trails off as the trio grabs their dinner and leaves. "She did. I guess they are becoming more open minded."
