2. All Hail the Prince!

~🔥~

It was 11:00 in the morning of a very special Tuesday as the people of the kingdom prepared themselves to see the prince after three long years. Everyone treated this day as a festival because this is the first time they'll see the prince in three years. Every corner of the street was nothing but pure joy and excitement.

Everybody hanged colorful banners in their house, flowers on the sidewalk and lamp posts. They even dressed to impressed. Not a second passed by when they weren't singing with happiness.

Everyone also stopped working on their job and focused on the momentous event that will happen once the hands of time reach the 12:00 mark.

While the people of Cahserith were busy preparing for the prince's arrival, the prince however, was having a blast at the stable. He took care of Spade and helped him walk as he was very thin. Hopp was very much surprised that Spade does not stop eating the food that Liam brought to him. He makes a sound whenever Liam pets his beautiful white mane while caressing his face.

Spade immediately regain most of his lost weight, and found the drive in him to run as fast as he can in the open fields of the stable. At last, Hopp saw him ran so fast, but very graceful, like he used to not that long ago. He sighed and cherished the beautiful moment that was happening before his very eyes, enclosing it in his memories so they won't be able to escape.

Prince Liam who was standing beside Hopp, watched the white horse run in the open fields. He then took a glimpse of Hopp's face that was filled with such nostalgia and joy.

"By the way, sir Hopp?" He asked the old man.

"What is it, your highness." The tiny man answered him with a question while laughing because of the tricks that Spade does. Galloping and jumping whenever there is a tree stump that was lying somewhere in the grassland.

"Where is Goldie, your daughter?" He said then sat at the tree stump that was beside him.

"Oh, she went to Qlhaverya after the festival three years ago and lived there for quite some time now. She became a merchant there and met her fiance, Klaus. They still visit me from time to time whenever they can afford it, although I still wish they would've stayed longer whenever they do." The man explained, his voice full of happiness from the good ol' days.

Liam knew he missed her badly. He could see it in the poor man's face. "Why don't you visit her sometimes sir? I'm sure she would be surprised and happy if she sees you." He suggested, but the man quickly shook his head.

"I don't have the money to buy a delicious meal your highness, let alone a trip to Qlhaverya." He sighed heavily, releasing the very last hope that he could visit his daughter.

"You've worked for our family for a very long time, sir Hopp. I think it would be nice to give you a nice break from all of this. First thing in the morning next monday, you'll immediately ride the train of Magnolia to Qlhaverya, I will pay for the ticket." The prince smiled. It was the least he could do for the man who took care of Spade after all this years.

"Y-your highness." The man was marveled by the prince's offer, while tears started to form in his eyes. He fell to his knees, he was speechless, he could barely breath, he could barely stand on his own which is why Liam helped him stand up.

The prince laughed while doing so, but it wasn't because he was making fun of the old man, but because he was very happy that Hopp could finally see his daughter again.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" The man cried repeatedly while kissing the young prince's cheeks. "O-okay sir, you can stop now." Said Liam because he was very overwhelmed of how the old man was kissing him for what seems like eternity.

"It's almost 12 your highness, we need to prepare Spade." He reminded the prince as he call the white horse who was still running in the open fields. "SPADE!" He shouted, and the horse came running towards him.

For a full 15 minutes, Hopp groomed the white horse to make him look even more beautiful than he ever did. He turned the horse's long and dirty mane into a silky, smooth one. He trimmed his hard black hooves, then immediately covered his back with the saddle, put the bridle and connected it to the girth. Before leaving his stall, he gently brushed the horse. "You look gorgeous." He stated to the horse who neighed in response.

Liam was patiently waiting outside for the last 17 minutes, but he waited no longer as Hopp and the glammed up horse walked towards him.

He was very much impressed with how the white horse looked. He looked majestic, he thought before caressing the horse that was in front of him.

"Now, now, Spade, you're going to be nice to the people of Cahserith while the prince rides ya, will you fella?" He asked the horse and the animal answered him with a kiss on his face.

"Good. Okay then prince, I leave Spade to you, I hope you have a good time in the town. I'll be there watching you to cheer you on, I just have to change my clothes." He said to the prince before going to the tiny house beside the stable.

"Thank you again sir Hopp!" Liam screamed loudly while waving to the old man who was now standing in his front door, waving back to him as well.

Soldiers came and surrounded the prince while riding Spade. They now started marching, the prince and spade behind them walking, and they went on to the town of Cahserith.

A town crier arrived in the town plaza where the fountain of tears is located. "Hear ye, hear ye!" He cried while shaking the bell he was carrying to get the people's attention.

"Ladies & Gentlemen!" He shouted once more. "Please welcome, our beloved prince of Cahserith, Prince Liam Guerrier!" He shouted as loud as he can, almost ripping his vocal cord, but it was his job and he was very much used to it by now.

As soon as the town crier said the name of the prince, everybody started doing the town crier's job, screaming on top of their lungs without any worries that they might lose their voice.

But their voice wasn't the only thing that was filling the town with so much noise, but also their hands that are clapping, their instruments playing, the horn they are using, Liam was overwhelmed by the noise that he was sure he would pass out anytime soon because it was hitting his eardrum very badly.

"ALL HAIL THE PRINCE! ALL HAIL THE PRINCE! ALL HAIL THE PRINCE! ALL HAIL THE PRINCE!
ALL HAIL THE PRINCE!" The townspeople repeatedly screamed the phrase on top of their lungs, welcoming the prince back.

"I'm fine, I'm fine." He whispered to himself, knowing that he must endure the noise in order to make the people happier than they are right now.

Some threw colorful papers in the air to make it rain, some used petals, leaves, and some just showered him with praises and love. There were saliva as well coming from the people who were shouting very loud, but he did not care about that.

"Your majesty! It is good to see you again!" The people screamed repeatedly, making sure that the prince could hear them and their longingness to see him again after the tragedy at the coronation three years ago.

The prince just smiled and waved at the people adoring him, he did not know what to do as he hasn't interacted with them for the past three years. It was almost new to him even though he used to do this before with his parents and his brother.

People were trying to get close to him but the soldiers guarding him tried to stopped them. They did not want the prince to get hurt, and that was a part of their duty as soldiers of the kingdom.

The soldiers began to march yet again, and prince Liam who was riding Spade followed them as another set of soldiers were behind them.

He went to every street of the town, every corner of every street, and every alley of every corner just to see the people and the tiny animals residing the small places. He did not saw a single homeless person, but he did feel bad for the stray rats, dogs and cats that were wandering about the town.

Every people were excited to see him, and when they did, they could not contain their happiness. And that happened for the rest of the day. Until the afternoon, 5:00 to be exact, prince Liam visited the various attraction of Cahserith which he last visited three years ago.

An old man accompanied him to guide him and give him the background of these places filled with rich history and stories that gained them that reputation.

"Uhm, I'm confused. Why do I need to have a guide? I live in this kingdom." Liam asked the old man.

"Your mother thought that it would be nice for you to know more about your kingdom since you spent the last three and a half years of your life locked inside your room instead of learning the basics such as the history of your home, the trading system with the your neighboring kingdoms and many more." He replied while walking, his gaze focused on where he is walking. "Oh and it's for the benefit of our dear audience so let us move on." He added quickly that the prince didn't understand what he just said as he walked faster.
