Evelyn
Evelyn hoped Percy would take it well. She already had enough on her plate.
When she first arrived at Camp Half-Blood, Evelyn had been terrified. Her satyr protector, Oliver, had just barely gotten her to camp in time. At almost fourteen years old, Chiron had explained that she would have been attacked by monsters soon if Oliver had not found her.
But when Chiron introduced her to Annabeth the next day, she immediately felt calmer. Annabeth was so calm and kind and happily showed Evelyn around while she waited for her boyfriend, Percy Jackson, to arrive at camp. Evelyn was glad she had made a friend on her first day.
At the campfire on Evelyn's second night, she had been claimed by Poseidon. That freaked everyone out because the only other known child of Poseidon was Percy Jackson, and he was super famous among demigods.
Then Percy arrived.
"Hey," he said. "I'm Percy. What's your name?"
"Hi," she said. "My name is Evelyn. I'm your sister."
He stared at her. She was afraid he would be upset. But then the biggest grin Evelyn had ever seen spread across his face and he embraced her. Percy was warm and smelled of the sea. He let her go and just smiled.
He took her hand, raised it high in the air, and yelled, "My sister!" to the campers. "This is my sister!" He grinned and hugged her once more.
