Theo was sitting on the kitchen stool, staring off space, his cereal left untouched.

A woman in looking in her mid-twenties walked into the kitchen. She had her long chestnut coloured hair in an elegant bun. Her blue chiffon top complemented her ocean blue eyes that matched Theo's.

"Baby, your cereal is going to turn soggy," she said.

Theo jumped slightly, awaken from his daydream, "Oh,"

"Good morning, mom" Theo greeted.

He looked at his soggy cereal with distaste and pushed it aside.

"Something's bothering you, I can tell. So what's wrong." Olivia sat down in front of Theo, sipping on her coffee.

Theo hesitated a little before saying, "I found my mate."

"Oh, that's great news! When can we meet her?" she said.

"Here's the thing mum, I think she's a mundane." Theo sighed.

Olivia frowned, "But werewolves paired with a mundane hasn't happened in decades."

"I know." Theo said, his shoulders hunched in defeat.

"Well maybe she masked her scent trying to pass as humans." Olivia tried to comfort his son.

"I'm scared, mom. 'Cuz the last time this happened was before the Eclipse War. So does this meant a war is coming?" Theo asked, his body wrecked with fear.

"Don't be silly. Take her home, we'll let grandma take a look at her, okay? Grandma can tell us if she's a mundane." She patted his arm.

"Okay." Theo sighed. He took his bag and stood up.

He nearly bumped into Jordan as he made his way out of the kitchen.

"Morning dude. C'mon we'll be late for school." Theo said and then dragged himself towards the door.

Jordan nodded but didn't reply. He bowed his head slightly at Olivia.

"Good morning Luna," Jordan greeted.

Olivia returned with a warm smile, "Morning Jordan. Go ahead, you'll be late."

Jordan bowed again before exiting.

He heard their conversation earlier which he wished he hadn't. The words Eclipse War send shivers down his spine.

What he heard just confirmed his greatest fear.

"I HATE SCHOOL!! " Renee wailed loudly in the middle of the hallway.

Aurora duck her head slightly as a few heads turn their way.

"Ren! Lower your voice! Its embarrassing!" Aurora scolded Renee in a high pitched but quite voice.

Renee turned towards her with a tight smile, "Honey, do I look like I care?"

Aurora rolled her eyes, not bothering to reply her.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a locker door was slammed into Aurora's face.

Like literally.

"Dudeeeee, how do I approach her?" Theo opened his locker to get his books.

Leaning against the locker beside Theo's, Noah shrugged, "Well, just go up to her and say 'hey I'm Theo, what's your name?'. Easy peasy."

Theo groaned, "Dude, she would think I'm a weirdo or something."

Noah sighed, smacking his lips and then said, "Look, you guys are mates, which means she'll be attracted to your ugly ass no matter what. So, you have absolutely nothing to worried about."

Theo glared at him and grumbled, "It's easy for you to say. Wait 'till you've found your mate, then you'll know my struggles."

"Bro, you-"Noah stopped mid-sentence when he saw Aurora and her friends heading their direction. "Oh she's here!She's here!" he exclaimed.

"What?" Theo peered behind his locker door and his eyes widened when he spotted Aurora wedging her way among the crowd of students.

"Oh my god! What should I do?! Should I go say hi? Oh god!" Theo's palms began to grow sweaty.

"Dude, chill, you're gonna be fine." Noah put a hand on his shoulder, trying to calm him down.

Theo closed his eyes, taking deep breaths to calm his racing heart but to no avail.

"I... I...I think I'll just talk to her next time," Theo stammered.

Noah sighed and smack his lips, a habit when he's impatient.

"I'm not letting you backing out of this," Noah said, his voice ozing with determination.

He reached out to grab Theo's locker door with a smirk on his face, "I want a future Luna."

He listened to Aurora's footstep, counting her steps as she got nearer. He had never felt more blessed to have heighten werewolf hearing.

Before Theo could stop him, he swung the locker door back and slamming it right at Aurora's face.

The next thing they knew, Aurora was sprawled on the floor, followed by a high pitched scream.

Oppsie, sorry future Luna. Noah's wolf Batair mused.

"WHAT THE HELL!" Renee screeched.

"Language Ren, "Aurora groaned weakly, her nose throbbing from the impact.

Renee quickly rushed to assist her friend, "Oh my god! Are you okay?!"

Theo was practically fuming beside Noah, a deep growl rumbled at the base of his throat. He was having a hard time keeping his wolf at bay. But Noah seems oblivious towards Theo's rage.

Noah wheeze, "Ohmygod, she sounds like Captain America," his face turning red from holding back his laughter.

I WANNA KILL HIM!!!!!  Ekanga, Theo's wolf bellowed.

Trust me I do too, but not here. Theo replied to his wolf.

Just as he was about to lash out at Noah, the metallic scent of blood caught his attention. He whipped his head towards Aurora and saw her nose bleeding.

Renee gasped, "Your nose!"

Aurora felt something warm trickling down from her nose. She reached up to touch it with her fingers and wasn't surprised when her fingers were stained red.

She groaned, but this time out of frustration instead of pain.

"Help me up," Aurora reached her hand out for Renee to grab.

But Theo beat Renee to it and grabbed Aurora's outstretched hand, "Here I've got you."

Renee watched Theo with an eyebrow raised, a slight smirk dancing across her lips. Noah had the same smirk but much wider.

Sparks traveled across Aurora's arm when Theo touched her. She jumped slightly with shock.

"T-thanks," she said after he had helped her up.

She tried to tugged her arm out of his grasp but Theo had other plans.

"Let me take you to the nurse," Theo said, his voice laced with worry.

"It's fine, my friend can take me there." Aurora denied his offer.

"NO!" Theo said sternly, his voice a little loud making Aurora and Renee jumped.

Theo blushed a little. He cleared his throat and said, "I mean it's my fault that you're hurt, so just let me take you to the nurse, it's the least I can do."

"Okay........ "Aurora trailed, a little weirded out by his sudden outburst.

Although she won't admit it out loud, but she was feeling giddy being able to be this close with Theo.

The trip to the infirmary was filled with awkward silence. But Aurora's attention was focused on Theo's tight grip on her arm. He was holding her as if she would fall over anytime and she smiled a little at his behaviour.

When they finally reached the infirmary, Aurora turned around and said, "Ren, could you-"

She stopped when she realised Renee wasn't walking behind them anymore. It seems like Renee had disappeared along with Noah.

"Oh, I guess they left for class," Aurora said, a little dumbfounded.

"Yeah... "Theo trailed.

He knew Noah left on purpose, probably dragged Renee with him. Because Noah just mind-linked him a second ago saying "it'll be sweeter, if you wrap your peter."

Theo rolled his eyes internally and sighed. He'll definitely give him hell after school.

Elise frowned with worry as she crossed out the date on her calendar. She felt a pair of strong arms pulled her into a hug from behind.

"Good morning darling." Charles greeted sleepily, taking in her scent that smells like flowers in spring.

"Morning," Elise greeted absent-mindedly.

Charles sensed her discomfort and asked, "Darling, what's wrong?"

"Next week is her 18th birthday, and it's full moon too." Elise's voice laced with worry.

"Everything will be alright darling. We don't even know if it'll happen. She's only half blood, remember?" Charles rubbed her arms in a soothing way, trying to ease her tension.

Elise sighed, "We should still be prepared,"

"Of course, darling. Of course." Charles said.
