Rex groaned as he heard some people gossip about him as he stood in front of a smiling Lumine inside the coffee shop her family owned.

"Hey, Rex!" Lumine greeted with a cute smile. "The usual?"

"Yes," he replied calmly watching as lumine made his order from scratch.

"What happened to miss Elysia?"

"She was not pregnant. Her medicine made her sick in the morning." He said with a tired sigh while Lumine nodded.

"Aether! Can you cover for me?" She asked with a cute smile.

"Huh? Sure." Aether replied from the back and Ren winced as some girls squealed and swooned at the sight of Aether. "Hey, Rex!"

"Aether." He greeted his friend with a nod as he took his cup of coffee on the counter, only to grab the air as Lumine walked to him, holding two cups of coffee, one for her and one for him. Paying for his cup and some bread, the young man walked beside Lumine.

From a newrby building, a glint reflected.

"So, how was your project?" Lumine asked with a smile as she took a seat on a booth by the window, patting the space beside her.

"It was fine. Finished it in time." He said with a smile as he sat beside her, enjoying the smooth aroma of coffee.

"That's good to hear," she whispered, holding her cup of coffee with both hands before taking a sip. "Sparkle needed to go back home to do some cramming."

"Good." Rex replied with a short sigh of relief, raising a brow as he felt a weight on his shoulder.

"Also, Aether got swarmed by his harem."

"Good for him." He replied with a shrug as he noticed a glint on a rooftop of a nearby building.

"Are you busy this weekend?" A cough on a booth nearby, Aether raised a brow and turned to the booth his twin sister was on.

"Not really, I finished all my projects and chores." He said with a shrug as he looked at her. "Why?"

"Well, there's a movie I want to see and Aether got us both tickets but he can't go that day." She said with a smile.

Rex turned to Aether and raised a brow only to turn back to Lumine as he saw Ayaka and Keqing arrive inside the cafe.

"Well, I don't mind." Silence.

Aether dropped the plate he was holding on and stared at the booth the two were in shock. Lumine was even more in shock. She knew how much Rex hated going outside and he just agreed?!

"Really?!" She asked with a bright grin while looking at him, her eyes sparkling as she searched for any sight of deceit.

Rex raised a brow as he took a sip and nodded.

"No takebacks!" She said with a cute smile and hugged his arm tight.

"Fine... No takebacks." He said with a shrug and took a sip to hide the smile on his face.
