3 years later

(Y/n)'s POV

"W-Why... why is there... so much... blood?" I was weak from the recent beating that my parents gave me in my room. They said I was still with monsters, despite me saying I wasn't. Half of the time I was lying, but other times I was hanging around people who hang around with monsters. I could feel my cuts getting bigger and more blood was coming out. I tried to get up and reach for the back of my bed. I then reached for the first aid kit that I hid back there. I grabbed the kit and got some towelettes and put on some rubbing alcohol to disinfect the cuts. "Aah..." it burns so bad. I then grabbed some bandages and began to wrap my cuts. "Out of all the things for a punishment, why did they have to use knifes?"

Flashback

I came back after hanging out with Gen, Kaden, and Timmie. I went through the front door, because my parents didn't hire a guard this time. I felt that today would be a punishment free day since I didn't hang around any monsters today. I walked through the door and went into my room.

When I got to my door and opened it I saw my parents in my room with... things. Things that wouldn't be in my room. They began to conduct their "monster" check to see if I was with monsters. I wasn't around any all day so I felt good that I might be okay for a day. They then brought out a device that can identify if I was with a monster. I smiled since I felt good about not being near one. They waved it over my body.

BZZZZT!

Huh?! That sound means I was with a monster! "Wait mom, dad hear me out! I wasn't around any monsters today, I was hanging around humans!" They gave me dark looks. "Really? This device says otherwise..." my mother said. I was getting scared, it was time for my punishment. My dad went behind me and locked my door and my mother locked my window. They then grabbed some knives and pushed a button on the wall.

Metal claws began to come out of the walls and grabbed my arms and legs. They restrained me and I couldn't move. My parents went closer with the knifes and began to lift up my clothes. Slowly they used the knifes to cut my skin. They went to my arms, my legs, my stomach, and one of my shoulders. After that they stopped and left and the metal claws released me. I fell to the floor slowly bleeding out.

End of flashback

"Why won't then believe me? I wasn't near any monster, that stupid device must be defective!" I yelled but covered my mouth. If they heard me they might come for round 2. "I-I can't deal with this anymore." I began to sob and I lied down on my bed. "Please just let the pain end..." I then drifted to sleep.
