This story is after the Barrier breaks and all monsters are saved. Right now is the day when the Barrier breaks.

(Y/n)'s POV

I was watching the TV watching cartoons and I was around 9 years old. My parents were with me watching with me. Then all of a sudden a news broadcast came on. "We interrupt this program to bring breaking news. Over the past several years the Barrier was keeping back the monsters, but today it has been broken and the monsters have been released. We advise taking caution when coming I contact." I turned to my parents with my (e/c) eyes gleaming. I loved monsters because they could do anything. But when I looked at them they had fear in their eyes. My father looked to my mother. "Honey... un enroll (Y/n) from school." I was shocked. "Wait father! Why do you have to do that? If you do that I'll never see my friends again!" My mother looked at me and gave me a sympathetic smile "It's for your own good. Those monsters won't hurt you."

They managed to un enroll me and they began to homeschool me keeping me sheltered from the outside world. They hired someone to watch me when I walk outside. It was kinda scary being watched. I was walking outside with the bodyguard watching me. "Sir why do you have to follow me? I can handle my own!" He shook his head. "Sorry, but I am ordered to watch you at all costs." I sighed. I continued walking and found a public restroom. An idea popped into my head, because I think I found a way to get rid of him. I began to hold my stomach like I was in pain. "Ugh... ow this hurts." They guard comes to me as asks "are you alright?" I shook my head still in pain, and I looked at the restroom. "C-Can I go in so I can get rid of this?" He thought about for awhile, and then he looked at me. "Alright, but don't take to long." I then went into the restroom.

Once I got in I let go of my stomach and locked the door so no one else can get in. I looked around the room and saw a window in one of the stalls above the toilet. I reached up, but I was too short to reach it. I kept looking around and I found a big trash can near the door. It looked sturdy so I grabbed it and put it on top of the toilet. It was a bit wobbly so I have to keep my balance. I could almost reach the window. Just a few more inches! As I got closer I began to lose my balance, but I quickly got it back. I have no choice I have to jump. I jumped and I managed to grab the window. I opened it and I was finally free!

I left the restroom and began to explore. I wanted to see the monsters so that I can see who they truly are. Mother and Father say that monsters are evil and know no love or compassion. I don't know if that's true, but I'm going to find out. I went to a neighborhood where monsters were starting to move in, and they looked friendly. As I looked around I accidentally bumped into someone and feel down. "Owww..." the person I bumped into bent down and held his hand. "Are you okay?" I looked at him and saw his eyes, they were green, like emeralds. "Yeah I'm fine" I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up. I looked at him and I saw two people beside one looked older and the other looked younger.

I smiled and introduced myself. "Hi my name is (Y/n). Nice to meet you!" The boy then smiled. "Nice to meet you too. My name's Gen and this is my older brother Kaden and my younger brother Timmie." Kaden and Timmie waved at me and I waved back. "What are you doing here (Y/n)" Gen asked. I have to hide the fact that my parents don't like monsters. "Um, I came here to see the monsters, they don't seem dangerous as the books say." Kaden then stepped into the conversation. "The books are lies told by humans. They only tell what they want to tell." Timmie nods and says "Yeah monsters are good, and cuddly!" Then all of a sudden a huge wave of monsters came. They were wearing some blue and yellow striped sweaters and looked like dogs. "HoI IM TEMMIE!" The monsters said and they swept Gen, Kaden, and Timmie away. "Okay that just happened."

I continued to explore and I said hello to the monsters letting them feel welcome. I kept this up till it was late at night and I tried to get home without making any noise. When I arrived I saw my parents through a window. They were saying something and I can barely make out what they are saying. Then they yelled at the top of their lungs. "I DON'T CARE IF IT'S LATE! FIND OUR KID! THEY WILL NOT BE OUTSIDE WITH THE MONSTERS!" Why do they hate monsters so much? I sneaked to my room and opened my window, but as soon as I opened it the alarm rang. "Oh no...". Then they came crashing into my room.

"(Y/N) WHERE WERE YOU?! YOUR BODYGUARD SAID THEY LOST YOU!" Should I tell the truth? Or should I lie? Before I could open my mouth my mother came closer and looked at my face. What is she doing? "Umm... mother you are a bit close...". She then sniffed me. "Umm... mother what are yo-" SLAP!

She slapped my face. "You were with monsters... weren't you?" How did she know?! My father's face darkened. "(Y/n) is this true?" I became scared and my face showed my fear. Their suspicions were true. My father locked the door to my room and my mother closed and locked my window. Both their faces were dark. They then jumped on me.

"MOM, DAD WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" My mother held down my arms and my dad held some books and other heavy objects. He began to throw them at my body and with my mother holding my arms I can't protect myself. "OW! AHH! DAD STOP!" He didn't stop he then punched my stomach. "GUH!" I began coughing. He then stopped and my mother let me go. "That's only the small punishment. There is much worse. Stay. away. from. monsters." They then left my room.

I stopped coughing and slowly began to sob. Why did they hate monsters so much? Why did they hurt me? What happened to them? These question I know I didn't have the answers, but from what I saw, monsters aren't the true monsters. Humans are.
