You are Michael Jackson!

Michael's POV

Thirty minutes later we arrive. I get out and walk to my house. The music doesn't make me feel better. I feel like a total jerk. I go inside and go straight to my room. I flop on my bed and stare at the ceiling. Why can't I just be an adult? Why can't I be mature? Why do I always play around?

After awhile, I start studying my ceiling. I should put a painting up right here. I hear my bedroom door open.

"Mr. Jackson, I have dinner ready."

It's my maid, Winnie.

"I'm not hungry, Winnie."

She turns the lights on and closes the door. I sit up and look at her.

"Now, Michael, you and I both know you're always hungry."

I laugh and look at the ground. I shrug my shoulders.

"I'm just not in the mood for food."

"What's wrong, Michael?"

She sits on one of the bean bag chairs.

"I tried playing with Frank and Lisa today, but they just yelled at me."

"Oh, Michael, you shouldn't let people who had an attitude get in your way. Be you."

"But nobody likes me. They all want adult mature me and I don't know that person. He scares me."

Winnie gets up and sits next to me. She puts her arm around me.

"It's ok, Michael. We like you. None of us here would have known the child inside of us, if it wasn't for you. You saved us in a way."

I smile and put my head on her shoulder.

"Thanks, Winnie."

I get up and go over to my stereo. I search for Saturday Night Fever. I pop in the CD and go to How Deep Is Your Love.

It starts playing. Winnie stands and says with excitement,

"Oh, Michael you know I love this song!"

I hug her and say,

"Thank you for being my friend."

"My pleasure."

I snap my fingers and wait for the lyrics to start.

"I know your eyes in the morning sun, I feel you touch me in the pouring rain, and the moment that you wonder far from me, I wanna feel you in my arms again."

Then Winnie joins in.

"And you come to me on a summer breeze, keep me warm in your love, then you softly leave, and its me you need to show!"

We sing together.

"How deep is your love, how deep is your love, how deep is your love."

She lets me take over.

"I really need to learn, 'cause we're living in a world of fools! Breaking us down, when they all should let us be! We belong to you and me! "

Winnie was going to start singing again, but Lisa burst through the doors and said,

"Winnie, can you give Michael and I some time alone."

"Uh, yes, yes. Of course. I'm sorry."

Winnie leaves the room. I turn the stereo off and smile at Lisa.

"Hey, baby. How are you?"

"How am I? Have you turned on the TV?"

"No, why?"

She turns on the TV and says, "That's why!"

I look at the TV.  There's a story on TMZ about me.  I hate them.  I really do.  There's a video of me with my head hanging out of the limo and me saying I'm sorry.  There's the headline "Did Michael go to far with his childish antics?" The video then shows Lisa drenched in water throwing her arms up in frustration.

I turn the TV off.  I didn't want to here their reporters say anything mean about me.

"Oh, Lisa, just forget them.  Who cares."

Lisa puts her hands on her hips and says,

"Who cares? I care, Michael! I don't want to be in the news like this!"

I shrug my shoulders. "You're getting too upset over this. This isn't even that big."

I think I just threw myself into a pit of fire.  Next thing I know, I'm being thrown out of my own room.  She throws a blanket and a pillow at my face.  I duck.  She slams the door and locks it.  I clench my jaw.  I pick up the pillow and blanket and head downstairs.  I toss them on the couch and sit down.  Winnie sees me and I put my finger over my lip and shake my head.  I don't want to hear anyone right now.

I sit on the couch for hours.  All the lights are off and everyone is asleep.  I check the time.  It's 12am.  I get up.  I already have on jeans and a white t-shirt.  I put on my shoes and grab my jacket next to the door.  I open the door and close it quietly.  I walk toward the gates and stop.  Am I really sneaking out of my own house?  I nod.  Yep.  I climb over the gates.  They play the music when they open.  I really need to change that.  Who knows when I'll want to sneak out again.

I start walking.  Not really having a destination.  I end up in a neighborhood.  I smile to myself.  All these people are asleep not knowing I am right outside.  It makes me feel good.  I can walk all alone without worrying about someone seeing me.

"Michael Jackson!?!"

I turn around a see a woman on a bike.  Then, the lights start to turn on in people's houses. There's going to be a riot soon.  Crap.  The woman sees I'm worried and says,

"Hop on!"

I get on the pegs on the back of her bike.  She's starts riding until we reach a deserted area.  When she stops, I jump off.  I have no idea where I am.  She gets off her bike.  It falls to the ground.

She looks hard at my face.

"You are Michael Jackson!"

"Can you please not say that so loud anymore."

"Oh, sorry. What are you doing out here alone?"

"What? You brought me here!"

She laughs. "No, I mean before."

I look at her. Why did she laugh?  This isn't funny.  But then, the more I thought about it, it was funny.

"I was just walking. I wanted to be alone."

She nods. "I'm sorry, I'm Sky."

"Sky? Like-"

She nods and smiles. "Yes, Like the sky. I'm an endless realm where sunshine bounces on forever. No horizon, no depth, crystal blue sky. Well, that's how my mom describes it."

She giggles. I stare at her in awe.

"That was beautiful, Sky."

She shrugs her shoulders. "That was nothing."

I laugh.  She's funny.

"Oh well, I'm Michael....Jackson, but you already knew that."

We both laugh. She gets back on her bike and places one foot on the petal.

"Well, it was nice talking to you."

Is she serious?

"Wait! I don't know how to get back home from here."

She smiles and begins to ride circles around me.

"I do."

I laugh. "Well, can you take me home?"

"Only if you promise we can hang out."

I don't see why not.  She seems amazing.  Almost just like me.  Everyone would've told me to stop riding in circles and listen.

"Ok, I promise."

She stops and stares at me. "Are you serious?"

I nod.  "Of course."

"Wow, I didn't think that would work."

"So you were gonna just leave me here."

She shakes her head and says, "I would've given you a ride either way."

"Well, I want to hang out."

I search my pockets and find a piece of paper and a pencil.

"I always carry them. I never know when God is going to give me a gift of music."

I write my number down.

"Here, call me."

She takes the number and stares at it.

"Is this legit?"

I laugh.

"Of course it is."

She pulls her phone out and dials the number.  My cellphone starts vibrating.

"Hold on. I got to take this."

I answer it.

"I told you it was legit."

She starts laughing. "Thank you, Michael."

"Just don't share it."

She shakes her head.

"Of course not."

She puts her phone up and says,

"Let me take you home now."
