Doctor Visit

Michael's POV

We've been trying for weeks, but nothing has happened. Today we are going to visit the doctor. We want to make sure everything is fine.

"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson."

I smile and shake his hand. Sky does the same. We sit down.

"First, I want to congratulate you on the marriage. I read about it somewhere.

"Thank you. "

Sky just smiles. I know she's nervous. We want everything to be perfect. Doctor Davison opens the file and scans through it. I study his face to see if he's about to tell us bad news.

He closes the file and looks at us.

"Mrs. Jackson, when was your last check up?"

She shrugs her shoulders. "I'm not sure. Why? Is there a problem? "

"Well, the tests we did shows some major problems. "

Oh God. "Is it me? Is there something wrong with me?"

He nods. "Your sperm count is low."

My eyes widen. "Low? How?"

"How frequent are you around heat?"

"Heat? I'm not sure. All the time I guess. The stage is always hot. We have to keep the temp down for a reason. For effect. "

"Well, that exposure has impaired your sperm production. But that's not the worse news. Sky..."

She looks at him. "This is my fault? I knew it."

I squeeze her hand. "No, this is all me. My sperm is low."

"Mrs. Jackson, I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but you have epithelial ovarian cancer."

"What?!"

"Epithelial ovarian cancer. Now, this is strange because most women who are diagnosed with this is cancer are all over 50. "

Sky has cancer! No! This can't be true! It can't be!

I quickly say, "We want the best treatment. I don't care how much it costs. I want the best for her!"

Doctor Davison nods. "We will do everything in our power to make sure she gets through this."

Sky doesn't say a word.

"Mrs. Jackson, this cancer is not rare. We caught it at a early stage. Things shouldn't be difficult. "

Sky gets up and leaves the room. I quickly say,

"We'll want the best treatment. Nothing less."

I shake his hand and run out of the room. Where'd she go? I heard crying coming from the women's restroom. I didn't even think about it, I just walked in.

"Sky..baby, don't cry."

I heard sniffles coming from the last stall. I walk toward the door and lean on it. I put my hand against and say,

"Baby, you're going to be OK. You're going to get the best treatment. Sky..."

Sky replies, "I don't care about the cancer, Michael! It's the fact that I can't conceive and will never be able to!"

She breaks down crying. I can't stand hearing her so upset.

"Let me in, Sky!"

She can't hear me over her crying. I bend down and start shimming under the door on my back. I hear the restroom door open. I hear heels clicking. Then they stop.

"You pervert!"

The heels become louder as they get closer. The woman begins to beat me with her purse.

I try my best to hurry and get in the stall with Sky.

"Hey! Quit it! Sky help me."

The woman continues to beat. Sky's crying turns to laughter as she pulls me through the door, the best she could. I can't help but start laughing as well. I stand up. She bangs on the door.

"You come out of there with that young lady or I'll get security! "

I look at Sky. I whisper,

"The principal caught us, Sky."

She plays along. "My parents are going to kill me!"

The woman bangs on the door again.

"This is your last chance!"

Sky whispers, "We better get this over with. I'm already grounded. "

I nod and say, "OK. Good luck."

I open the door. The woman went to hit me again, but saw my face.

"Michael...Jackson. I'm so sorry!"

I laugh. "It's OK, Miss. This will be a heck of a story to tell your friends. "

She smiled and asked for a picture. I took a picture with her and signed an autograph.

Sky and I exit the restroom.

Sky stops me and says, "Michael, I don't want to know what this cancer is or what they are going to do. I just want it over with!"

I nod. "Of course, baby. Now, let's get started."

Sky nods.
