Prologue

You know I never thought this would happened. Like ever. I never wanted to be tested on. I never wanted any of this. Yet here I am. A small kid from an unknown place in Boston that some how made it to New York City. You would think I would enjoy it and yeah I totally would if the world hadn't gone into a war that probably can't be stop so yeah life sucks.

The worst part is that it's not a dream. This was as real as world war 1. There was nothing I can do to stop this except to fight. I just wished I knew all of this would have happened. Maybe just maybe I would have been able to talk James out of it.

I sighed as I stared at the wasteland that was once New York City. Some of the buildings were tilted, windows with only shards of glass left. James stood next to me in a white shirt and jeans.

"Yikes this place looks terrible." He said. I nodded in agreement. This place was terrible. It was no longer the city that never sleeps. Everything was just so... dead. Why would they do this it didn't make sense. What did they get out of this?

Suddenly an axe could be seen in James's chest. He fell backwards and stared at the sky as blood soaked his shirt. I could almost see the life leaving him. My eyes widened as I stared at him.

Oh my god. Was all I could think of as I stared.

"Good to see you again... Hunter Moon."
