*Natsu POV*

Its been a week now since i was shot down. For a week now they have used me, possessing my body, and making me kill my own kind. It was terrible. I tried countless times to break free, but i just couldn't do it. Lucy came in everyday to feed me only to see that i wasn't eating. She always sat and talked to me for as long as she could before they took her away. The girl that i kicked in the stomach came with her last time, apologizing for healing me without my consent. I never said a word to either of them. Sometimes i would gesture or make a noise to show that i agreed, disagreed, or was listening.

I heard the door clank open and saw Lucy and Wendy at the door. Lucy held the remote in her right hand. I growled and backed away since I could finally walk again. "Relax I'm not going to use it." She walked into the cell with Wendy still at the door. She got right up to me so that she was only a few inches away. I gave her a warning growl, telling her that she was too close. "Be careful Lucy-San!" Wendy shouted at her. She didn't listen "don't worry Wendy, i know he wont hurt me. Even if he wanted to." I gave her another growl but she didn't listen. I could feel my magic charge up n my right hand. I wanted so badly to strike her and teach her a lesson, but for some reason, I couldn't.

I gasped and stiffened as she grabbed my hand. I looked at her and she just gave me a sweet smile. Lucy gripped my hand and very gently tugged to get me to follow her. I was confused as she started to walk towards the door. She pulled me right through it and out into the light. There I saw several faces staring at us. Makarov stood in our path as Lucy walked towards the main doors. He sighed "my child, i know you mean well, but this isn't a good idea." Lucy irritatedly sighed and looked at Makarov with fierce determination in her eyes.

"Master, he isn't a pet that we can expect to behave the way we want him to. Especially since everyone here has been treating him like an object. He isn't our ally either, he's a hostage. So obviously he isn't happy about being here." She looked over at me with a sweet smile. "I would like to be his friend though. Everyone needs a friend. So the first step is to treat him like one of us and thats what im doing." My eyes widened in shock a little before going back to a steady small glare. It was long enough for her to see though so she laughed and pulled me past them through the doors and outside.

I forgot to mention this before. Sorry. This is what he looks like right now. Except the cape has a hood.

I grabbed my hood and pulled it up over my head. Lucy had finally let go of my hand. Wendy trailed behind me. I could tell she was uncomfortable near me. I just knew it. Everyone we passed by while walking through town was. I heard some whisper, but i shot them a glare letting them know i could hear them. It's a really sunny day which i hated. Mostly cause I'm used to cloudy cool days up in the mountains.

"Natsu?" I broke from my thoughts to see Lucy looking at me concerned. "Are you okay?" she asked. Did she seriously just ask me that? I gave her a tiny nod in response. She went back to her happy little smile and started to walk away. I followed and Wendy trailed behind me.

Lucy went into from what i could smell, i think they call it a restaurant. We walked in and took a seat in a booth by the window. Lucy sat beside me and Wendy sat across from us. I just stared out the window as they ordered and a while later the lady came back with food. "Here you go!" She said cheerfully setting down all the plates. I caught the sent of something wonderful. I looked down and saw a juicy steak sitting in front of me. My mouth started to water. I gulped and looked over at Lucy who had a mischievous look on her face. Haven't see that look from her before.

It's almost as if she was challenging me to eat it. "Come on Natsu that's one nice, juicy looking steak. It looks so good." she dragged out a few words in different tones of voice. She's taunting me! I looked away from the steak and back out the window. She continued to taunt me for a few more minutes before letting out a sigh of defeat. She turned back to her salad in front of her. "Your self control is admirable." she picked up my silver wear and began to cut the steak with ease. I watched at she stabbed a small bite of it and held it in front of me. I looked at her with a small glare telling her to stop, but to my surprise she glared back at me and put it a centimeter away from my mouth.

Wendy looked at her in utter shock. She probably thinks im going to burn her hand or something to get her away. I would normally have done that a while ago. She puffed out her cheeks in annoyance. "Open!" She demanded. I refused. So she decided to try something else. Tears started streaming down her face. She lightly sobbed and i felt a sudden guilt pang at my heart. I looked over at Wendy who sipped on her smoothie ignoring her. I didn't want to have to deal with her crying so I opened my mouth and ate the piece of meat.

She looked up at me in shock. I continued to chew on it slightly pouting. "I knew it." She said to herself. I let it a low growl. People were looking over at us from all over the restaurant. I bared my fangs and gave them all a cold glare. Everyone staring went back to what they were doing. I looked back at Lucy and she stared at me in amazement. She reached her hand up at me and cupped my cheek. I growled defensively and shivered as she moved her smooth fingers over my mouth playing with my lips. My heart pounded nervously as she pushed my mouth open. "Woah" she said amazed. I sighed. She is playing with my fangs! I felt her run her finger over them and touch the very point.

"Their so sharp and long." She said pulling her finger back out of my mouth and whipping it with a napkin. I grumbled and looked down. I cant believe I let her do that! What is wrong with me?! "Sorry, I've never gotten to see a dragon this close before. I've always been curious of your kind. I'm sorry if i made you uncomfortable.

I didnt want to, but i knew it would make her feel better, and i wont have to deal with her crying. "You made me uneasy." She looked over at me wide eyed. Probably shocked that I talked. "I just wasn't expecting you to do that. You intrigue me." Her shocked expression softened and she gave me a sweet smile. "I'm glad I could entertain you." She held out her hand in front of me to shake i guess. "Friends?" She asked. I hesitated thinking about what father said to me once.

Flashback

"Son I need you to remember something." He talked very seriously in a reminiscent tone. It was very unlike my father. I looked over at him. We were both in dragon form gazing out over the cliff into The Valley below. I looked over at him and he let out a small sigh. "Humans, they are always a mystery. Don't get attached cause after that. You will never let them go." He chuckled to himself raising his wings and stretching. He looked down at me. "Take my word for it Natsu. Even if you don't think it will happen. Trust me, It will." I watched as he jumped and flew off the cliff and up into the clouds above. I sighed "Yeah whatever" and flew after him.

Flashback ended

I hesitated for a minute. Looking at her then back at her hand. I growled but she held her ground. "Yeah whatever, just stop bugging me so much." Her eyes lit up and she started thanking me over and over. I looked over at Wendy who's jaw had dropped. They both just started laughing. I felt a small smile form as i watched the two laughing girls. I quickly covered it up though. I sighed to myself. My father was right. Humans make you soft. Yet a very very small part of me, didn't mind it so much.
