*Lucy POV*

From my first impression of him i could tell he didn't want to talk. I had to call him something though. I introduced myself, but he didn't respond. I wanted to cry for him. He was treated so terribly by the others. Especially Gray, I'll yell at him later. "Natsu, Natsu Dragneel" i heard him say. I looked down at him. I could tell that i was smiling. He wasn't so bad, you just had to be careful not to go too far.

"Here" I set a plate of food in front of him from the cart. It had some fruit, some vegetables, Mira included a few cupcakes as well. He didn't say anything. I face palmed "of course, you're a dragon, I'm so stupid. I grabbed the plate of meat and put it in front of him. He lifted his nose and sniffed it. He didn't eat it though. I sighed in defeat.

"Do you not eat meat or do you just not want to eat?" I asked not really expecting to get an answer. I didn't really get one. "Do you want me to leave?" i asked. He once again didn't respond. "Look I'm sorry for how they treated you earlier. They're all just angry and want revenge against your father." he seemed to stiffen at the last part. Then I thought about it. This is Acnologia's son we're talking about. If we could gain his trust and become his friend. Then he would surely stop his father.

I looked back at him to see that he was starring at the door. "What is it Natsu?" He didn't even have to answer. The door slammed open and Gray walked in with Gajeel, and Laxus behind him. Now i understand. I stood up between them and Natsu. "Are you stupid?!" I asked with such anger in my voice. Gray took a step back. "Lucy get out of the way. He deserves this."

*Natsu POV*

I growled defensively at the three who walked in. Two of them were dragon slayers. I could just tell. Also the old man earlier said that one of their name's is Laxus and the other one just gave me bad vibes.

The raven haired boy from earlier was back. The one who kicked me in my wound. I'm not excited to see them, all of them. Lucy tried to block them but raven boy shoved her away and into the wall. I felt my blood boil again. She screamed as they went after me. I couldn't stop them i was too tired to. Plus i would recover in a few more hours and its not like I'm leaving this cell any time soon.

"Stop it!" she yelled over and over again. They didn't listen they back off for a second just to look at me. It pissed me off that they were taunting me. Then i looked over at Lucy and my eyes widened in shock. tears were streaming down her face as the raven boy held her still. She wasn't hurt but she was begging for them not to hurt me. She was crying because of me. It felt so weird to me, but then my body just acted.

"Don't. make. her. cry." I growled

My black flames emitted from my body and i attacked the two dragon slayers sending them through the door. I then stalked over to the Raven boy who's utter shock was written all over his face. He had let go of Lucy and ran out the door screaming "MONSTER!" I was used to it. I looked over at Lucy who was smiling at me. "Thank you Natsu" she said quietly. I didn't respond. I didn't want her to get comfortable near me.

She left the food and walked out the door and i heard it lock from the outside. I sat back down in the corner. She reminded me so much of my mother that it scared me. I always got angry when someone made mother cry. I guess she just reminded me of her in that moment. The tears she shed for me though. why? Why did she cry? I just cant understand it.

I snorted and laid down on the floor in the corner. I sighed, who are you Lucy? What is so special about you? I pushed the thought aside and drifted off to sleep.

Acnologia POV

I sat on the cliff side in dragon form. I waited and waited till it was nearly dark. I'm the almighty dragon king. Yet, I only truly care for one person, Natsu. My only son and the only thing i have left of my mate.

I break from my thought after i heard someone behind me. I turn to see my faithful, Loyal, messenger, Zero, the shadow dragon. I looked over my shoulder at him. He had a worried look on his face which usually means someone needs to be incinerated.

"Sir a word from the party" "Go ahead" I replied. "My lord, its with a heavy heart that i tell you this, but...your son, the prince, he was shot out of the sky and taken into custody by the Fairy Tail guild. He whispered the word to retreat just as he blacked out. We tried to save him, but to no avail."

I could feel my throat dry up. My blood boiled like it never did before. "Leave" i said bluntly to Zero. He nodded and disappeared into the shadows. I let out a roar of anger and sent a breath attack into the sky so strong that i knew it would reach them. That nasty guild who took my son. I let it send a message. You have taken what is mine, now you must pay.
