Natsu POV

I woke up with a jolt. Sitting up quickly which I just as quickly regretted. My head hurt so bad. I felt terrible. I didn't quite recognize my surroundings. My ears were ringing and my vision was blurry. I saw a blob that I think is Lucy and another blue haired one that I think is Wendy. I rubbed my forehead which was aching beyond normal. I think they're trying to talk to me, but it's so muffled from the ringing that I couldn't hear them.

My nose still worked at least, but all I smelled, was blood. I looked down and my hand and arm was red, bloodstained. I panicked remembering the dream. How my scales and paws were bloodstained. I felt my heart race. My vision became even more blurry and then suddenly, nothing. Just black.

Lucy POV

I watched as Natsu once again passed out. I held his head up and Wendy placed a pillow under it so I could let go. He was in the worst shape I've seen him so far. He had dark patches under his eyes, indicating lack of sleep. His hair was so messy which wasn't the worst thing, but it was bloody. Bruises covered his body. Wendy and I while trying to heal him discovered a huge scar on his right arm. It was terribly healed. Wendy tried to fix it up a bit, but nothing worked. The wound wasn't fresh enough. We have him in the infirmary, resting. Gray, after much complaint, helped carry him up here.

I sighed to myself as I tried to wash out the blood in his hair the best I could. I got it out surprisingly. Wendy healed his bruises while I cleaned him up. It was just the two of us and an unconscious Natsu. We were like that for about a half an hour. I brought some food up for him, but just as I walked in I saw his eyes snap open. He was panting heavily. It scared me. His eyes looked like he was going insane. "Lucy" he choked out. Wendy looked over at me and I quickly put the tray down and rushed to his side.

I sat on the bed next to him. He looked over at me with pain filled eyes. I felt sorry for him. "Natsu, are you," he cut me off before I said anything else. "My father, he's angry, he will come for me soon. He's just waiting for the chance." Natsu said with no emotion at all. He was like a robot.

I stiffened at his cold words. 'His father is coming soon. He won't show mercy for us changing his son and using him. He will show us his true anger.' I shivered at the thought, but hope wasn't lost. Not for me anyway. I looked him straight in the eye, catching his attention and he stared back. "Natsu answer me one question," I said calmly, he perked up at this, "do you want him to come?" Natsu froze. My words had paralyzed him. He didn't move a muscle. His breathing hitched and we sat there in complete silence.

What felt like forever passed and he looked out the window. "I think it's time I go back to my cell." He got up off the bed and walked past Wendy towards the door. I forgot to tell him! "Natsu you're no longer going to be staying in that cell." I felt his gaze on me, even though I couldn't see him, I knew. "You will be staying with me. Everyday we will come here and do whatever we want. It's the least I could do for you after all you've done for me" I said looking over my shoulder back at him. He seemed completely baffled by me, but slightly nodded.

"Okay" he said giving me a quick smile before leaving and going down the stairs. I smiled and looked over nervously at Wendy who was going crazy.

"He smiled at you!" She yelled.

I chuckled nervously "yeah he does it often, I've seen him smile a few times." Wendy started to freak out more as did Erza who at some point came into the room and heard our conversation.

"You've seen Chaos smile!?" Erza shouted at me. I sweat dropped not seeing the big deal of it all.

"Yes I have! Goodness you two!" I yelled back. They just still gave me the shocked looks from before. I sighed and walked out the door. Down the stairs I went. I chuckled as I skipped over to the bar next to Natsu who wasn't eating the steak in front of him. I ordered a smoothie and sat down. Gray and Gajeel were having a fight, again. Nothing new.

I tapped my finger next to the fork. He saw it, but refused to acknowledge it and turned his head away. I cut up the steak and ate a piece. He glanced sideways at me. I chewed and swallowed. "See? Not poison." I giggled. He nodded and proceeded to eat the steak. I giggled without a care in the world.

"Lucy look out!" Someone yelled. I spun around on the stool moments before a table was about to crash into me. I froze. I had no time to dodge.

Boom

Debris everywhere of what was a table now shattered to pieces. The shocked faces of my guild mates stared right at me. I looked up to my surprise. Natsu stood in front of me. His hand clenched tightly in a fist. I leaned forward a little to see his anger lit eyes. The famous Chaos black flames engulfed his fist. Only, unlike his father's, they were black and red, scarlet red. His teeth were clenched tightly as he sent a death glare towards Gray.

"Now you react, huh Chaos?" Gray taunted. Natsu sat back down, still glaring daggers at Gray. "Why? Why now?" He chuckled. I kept my mouth shut because truthfully I didn't know the real reason.

Erza tried to step in, "Gray that's enough,"

"Quiet!" He snapped at her. Gray wasn't himself. Whatever he was feeling was getting the better of him. "Fight me Chaos" Gray sneered. We all watched in silence. Nothing happened for a few minutes then Natsu just turned around on his stool and kept eating. Gray was furious. "Why won't you fight!? Isn't that all you monsters do!?" He yelled at him. Natsu was obviously angry, but he didn't act on it. 'I'm surprised he has so much self control!'

Gray then yelled. No words, just yelled. I covered my ears from the noise till Gray stopped. My reaction earned a growl from Natsu towards Gray. Gray threw another table at Natsu, but he didn't bother to dodge. It broke right in two when it hit him. He was obviously annoyed, but still didn't get up. Then a scary smirk appeared on Gray's face as he threw the next table, at me!

I panicked and froze in fear. Natsu's eyes widened and he jumped in front of me again. Shattering the table into even smaller pieces then the last. His hand engulfed in the black flames once more. He was really angry now. 'Wait, so he really does care about me!' I felt myself blush a little, but I shook my head clear of any of those thoughts.

Gray chuckled darkly. "So Chaos, that's your weakness. You don't care when you get hurt, but you do when Lucy is in danger." Natsu sat back down, still facing Gray. "Then I guess I just need to adjust my aim a little" he said. Grabbing a chair and looking at me. 'He wouldn't!'

Natsu let out a tremendously louder growl of anger.

"Try it, I will break every bone in your body then tear you in half! You are an inferior being, even with your magic."
Gray glared at Natsu, but Natsu just glared back, stepping closer but by bit. "I'm the equivalent of a god. None of you can stand against me. The one person that could, threw that away to befriend me." I was shocked at the words coming out of his mouth. Everyone looked over at me. I felt their gazes but ignored them. "Now you think, that you can stand against me alone?" Gray gulped and took one step back.

'He's scared!' Then I saw something I have never seen before. Natsu, has a grin on his face. He was enjoying this. The fear he could probably feel coming from Gray as well as almost everyone in the room. It isn't a happy grin. It's a evil grin. One that I've seen on his father many times.

"I am the son of the dragon king Acnologia. You wanna fight," he paused

"you will die."
