Taking Third Place we have:

Review: This book is a classic historical fiction book about racism in the past. But it is no ordinary book. This book is set in the land of Miran Theovian, populated by a race with magical elements and powers.
From the very beginning, I was hooked into the story. What a great first chapter to get the reader engaged! I found a few mistakes in the writing, mostly the occasional dialogue mistake, but nothing that can't easily be fixed. I got really attached to Stella from the start. Her feistiness and anger at the whites contrasts her power of healing and tenderness towards those in pain. Her undying wish to save her family and give them a good life grew on me, as well. I also love how, despite Stella's stark hatred of whites, you out two integral whites in her life—her brother Matt, and Jayden. I'm quite excited to keep reading and figure out who Jayden really is, and what on earth he's hiding. As a white person, I felt a little attacked at first, because it seemed as though your story made out ALL whites to be bad—Stella even seems to think rather poorly of her brother. And then you put in the scene with Matt, where he begins to show her that she's being racist against the whites, too, and that both sides are in err here. One small thing I would suggest is giving just a bit more explanation as to where Stella and her family live in accordance to the other non-whites and the whites. Also, I didn't really understand who Matt was or why he was there at first, either. Sadly, many of the things in this book really did happen, and I think this is a wonderful story about the atrocities of racism, told in an interesting way. Overall, great job!

Coming in at Second Place we have!!:
The Golden Girl by: StephRose1201
Review: This book intrigued me from the cover and summary alone, and I had a feeling it would be a good book. A story of two women, one a lady, one a blossoming girl, this book is a very interesting story so far.
I have to say that in the first chapter, I was a bit confused, but after that, you sorted everything out and the story flowed quite smoothly. The descriptions were absolutely fantastic, and pretty much all of your historical facts (such as noble titles) were correct. I absolutely loved seeing the two main characters, Marguerite and Celeste, from the inside and the outside. For Marguerite, I saw her struggles and fear of her past from her point of view. When she was described from Celeste's point of view, however, she was utterly a lady, calm and fearless. Celeste, on the other hand, was a lonely, insecure girl who hid herself away in her elaborate daydreams—she reminded me a great deal of myself, and I think she could to many girls. On the outside, however, she was a spunky girl, a bit distracted, but trying desperately to be a lady. I found hardly any flaws in the writing, and the writing style was very interesting—because even if a character was doing something small and boring (such as inspecting the academy for error) you found a way to make it interesting. This is a beautiful story, and I will definitely be reading the rest of it in days to come—i can't wait to see what happens to both ladies! Wonderful job in this book!

A Most Royal Affair by: Amphia234
Review: I loved everything about this book so much, and I cannot wait to finish it. You have such a wonderful, smooth writing style!
The book is set in two fictitious countries that are based off of African tribes. The King Asfour of Mesfara and Queen Adia of Sejabu are in control of countries that have been fighting for many hears, and now they both search for a solution. They find it—in the arranged marriage of Queen Adia's eldest daughter, and King Asfour's middle son. I loved reading about each different character separately; Queen Adia, who struggled to remain strong and stamped down feeling to do so; Zharif, middle prince of Mesfara, who longed only to be a full commander in the army and had no real interest in a wife; Khairi, youngest prince of Mesfara, who yearned to be the heir of the throne, and loved his brother Zharif greatly; and Naia, princess of Sejabu, who wished for her freedom to love. The conflicted points of view only make this story more interesting. I truly did not expect the runaway character to leave; I certainly expected a different character to. I found almost no grammatical errors in this book at all, and the story was clear, distinctive, and to the point. Even though sometimes the characters seemed selfish, arrogant, or any number of other things, when you explained it from their point of view, I completely understood. For example, I mourned for Naia's loss and was furious at Queen Adia; yet when I read her reasoning, I sympathized with her as well. The settings and facts of this story were spot on, and I never found any controversial facts. I loved hearing the words from the different languages, and the I felt that I could truly see the descriptions in my head. I honestly have no suggestions for it—it's that good. I love this book, and I would most definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic new read. I would love to see this book get more recognition and appreciation! You did a truly amazing job on this book.
