(Bret's opening statement tells Peter Parker that he has made a mistake "resurrecting" him. Bret was temporarily killed off but was resurrected when his creator started feeling emotionally balanced again. He says it wasn't a good choice bringing him alive to battle him and gives him a choice.)

You'll end up Like Gwen! Straight off the voice!
( He threatens that in the conclusion, He'll end up Like Gwen. Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man's girlfriend was killed when he tried to save her. Bret was saying that sister suffers the same fate. The "Straight off the voice!" comes in play as one of the former hostess of the Tv show "The Voice" was named Gwen Stafine.)

You can't compare to me, guy so you must be ill prepared.
(He then in returns stats Peter Parker can't compare to him and that he isn't prepared to face him. S-Colt said once that he's always prepared)

Peter Parker beating Bret?! I already noticed that you're scared.
(In shock he asks If Peter Parker's capable of beating him and says it's impossible because he's already scared.)

I'm a face of ZhoaFei, you're a spider intimation.
(Bret is the most well-known character that ZhoaFei has created and according to Bret, Peter imitates spiders when dress up as "Spider-Man")

With some graph paper boots, Spider-Man's left in devastation.
(Bret insults insults Spider-Man's boots by saying they resemble graphing paper because of the web design looks like squares. Peter Parker doesn't want anyone to know that he's Spider-Man, but Bret just calls him out and is about to wrap up his verse and leave him devastated.)

You better flee now, or I'll show you what I'm about.
(He advises Peter to flee now or he'll regret it when Bret shows him the real him.)

Kick your itsy bitsy ass right back up the water spout!
(This comes off the song the "Itsy bitsy Spider". Bret says He will kick Spider-Man back up the water spout.)

Peter Parker:

I'll snap a couple photos, cause I know you won't last.
(Peter Parker is a photographer and he says he'll take a couple photos and the reason why is in the next line...)
I'll pass them to your family after I kick your grey ass!
(He says he'll show it to his family, (His children;MHB; ext.) after he beats Bret really bad.)
Bookspree's a joke, my spidey sense's not tingling.
(He says Bret is a joke because he senses that isn't in trouble.)
How are you gonna harm me with smoke? I'll hang your ass from the ceiling.
(S-Colt weapon of choice is his patent smoke bomb that allows him to teleport. Peter asks how is he going to get harmed by it. The "I'll hang your ass from the ceiling." part says he'll hang him from the ceiling. After defeating common crooks, Spider-Man usually hangs in web from the ceiling so the authorities will pick them up, he says He'll do the same to Bret.)
You must sought out for failure if facing me is your mission.
(Bret is notable for calling himself a failure and Peter sheds light on that problem. Bret also travels on Business missions frequently; Peter says if he's taking to face him, it's only a failure.)
You'll never fulfil your wishes cause you lack the vision.
(He says Bret will never fulfill his wishes that he had for MHB because he lacks the guidance necessary. Its also a play on Bret's eye vision being so bad)
You're all alone, figuratively and literally.
(Recently With the Dark Ages of MHB have left Bret to feeling lonesome as most of his friends withdrew from MHB. Peter says that he's alone because currently no one is with him in the battle.)
You're dressed like you belong in Sears Delivery.
(This is a counterattack to Bret's insult on Spider-Man's boots. Bret wears a blue shirt that resembles one a Sears worker would have. That also comes from the "S" on S-Colt's costume.)

I'll topple you Bret and with great power comes great responsibility.
(This is a well known quote from the Spider-Man series. Peter tells Bret being leader isn't flashy title but comes with responsibility.)

You thought you had it but you don't got invincibility!
(Bret usually says MHB is a unstoppable juggernaut. Peter Parker disagree and says it's a illusion.)

I am Peter; Parker boy. I'll take you down like venom, I'm here to destroy.
(Peter says his names and says he'll defeat or take down Bret just like the villain venom.)

Leave more distressed than when your ex went maiden;
(Bret's ex is Diamond Dream who divorced him(so she went back to her maiden name) which left Bret upset and distressed. )

but I'll beat you breathless so you won't be able to cry to Araden.
( He shows Bret no sympathy and says he'll best him until he has no Bret so he won't cry on his way back to Araden (Bret's home country))
