Bloody Move
Capituló 2
*Delilah's POV*
I forced a small smile on my face as I watched my family chatter amongst each other during dinner. Alex was the only one missing, as he was trying to catch up on some paperwork as he still looked for our missing family members.
Alice.....
Almost eighteen years since she and my daughter have been taken. Eighteen years of us looking for them, but with no luck. They told me she was dead, but I could feel that she wasn't. Tommy didn't believe anything I said, as he didn't feel their bond anymore, so it didn't help that I was the only one with high hopes. I hadn't named my daughter yet, as I wanted her to be with me so I could officially call her by her name and not just have it hung in the air like some ghost. She needed to be with us so her name could expel from our lips with happiness.
"Mom. Are you ok?"
I looked up at my only son, and gave him a smile before I picked up my fork again. "Yes Noah. I'm fine." I could feel everyone's eyes on me as he just stared, tilting his head a bit as if he didn't believe me. He looked so much like Alex when he did that.... I smiled even bigger and nodded twice. "Really, I'm fine. I just have a lot on my mind."
"Are you sure mom?" Eveline spoke softly besides Noah, and I rolled my eyes.
"Yes! Now will everyone relax and enjoy this lovely dinner? The faster we finish, the sooner we can play Pictionary. I may have finished my duties already....."
I didn't even get to finish my sentence as everyone began to scream out who would be with who, and who was going down. I just laughed and shook my head as Eveline blushed and hid into Noah's chest as he growled. She was the reigning queen of the game, -she had never lost, even with different partners- but as Noah's mate, he rarely let her play with anyone else.
Just thinking about that still gave me the chills of how we found out. It was shocking -no pun intended- and we weren't sure of how exactly it was going to work out. But once they both got to a certain age and understood what was happening and who they were, they were inseparable.
Noah was just two, and yelling out random words as he learned them. I didn't pay much attention when one day he said, "Funny!" as he held her hand. But as he began to form complete sentences, it was Alex who witnessed the pair. They were three years old at the time, and it had been one of the days that I had to leave the castle to do my Queen duties, so I didn't know about it until I got back. Apparently, Noah, Eveline, and Arielle were running around, outside the house -with half the guards with them of course- when Eveline tripped, taking the other two with her. Arie just brushed it off and ran to her dad, -who sat on the makeshift patio talking on the phone to the investigator- while Noah helped Eveline up. Even though she was older, he was easily three inches taller than her already and was a gentleman -well only to her. He would always tease Arie whenever he could. They came back, holding hands and Noah just smiled up at Alex and said, "Daddy. When I hold hands with Eve, I feel funny." Alex couldn't believe what his son had just told him. But as Max confirmed that Noah's wolf was telling the truth, he just stared at our children in awe, wondering how I would take it.
Of course I didn't believe him. But when Eveline tripped over one of their many toys in the play room not two days later, Noah immediately dropped his and ran across the room, helping her up. Arie paid no attention whatsoever again, even though she was right in front of Eveline when she fell.
"Mom!" I quickly looked up with a sheepish grin as Arie brought me back from the flashback. "Are you ready?" I blinked twice when I realized we were the only ones left at the table and she smiled. "They got too impatient."
"Well let's go. Who am I with?"
She smiled hugely and hooked her arm with mine as she pulled me to the living room. "With me, of course."
"Ahh great, now I will definitely lose."

*Emilee's POV*
I didn't feel when she came back. Last thing I remembered was passed out next to the fireplace, with my battered copy of To Kill a Mockingbird in my hands. But as I opened my eyes to a dull morning, instead of seeing ashes from the burning logs, I saw the familiar glow-in-the-dark stars I had placed randomly in the ceiling of my room when we had first arrived.
"Em?"
With a quick swipe, the thick quilt was off my body, and I was jumping towards the door where Ali's voice was coming from. As soon as I opened the door and had a good look at her, I groaned and shook my head.
"No.... Not again!"
"I'm sorry. But something happened yesterday and we need to go before they come looking."
I sighed and stomped my way back to the bed as I felt her following me. I plopped down, face down, and spoke, even though I knew my voice was going to come out muffled. "Didn't you erase their thoughts like always?"
"I didn't get to hunt." That caught my attention. I raised my head from my stiff position and caught her eyes flashing as she looked at everything except me.
"There was another vampire?" Whenever someone would start to get suspicious, we would always try to move someplace were there were no vampires; small cities or even small towns that were not in a map. So her telling me that she came across another vampire was a complete surprise since she was supposed to be the only one.
"Two actually. From what I could tell, both of them were created illegally because they didn't know the ways."
"What do you mean they didn't know the ways?" I asked as I passed by her to the kitchen. I knew what she was talking about; I just wanted to distract her for a few seconds. She followed me with a small pout, knowing what I was going to do, but she didn't answer me.
"Don't do it. Get to packing and I will hunt- gah damn it!" We both hissed as I sliced my palm open and quickly held my hand above a styrofoam cup. We had done this before, -twice actually- but I still wasn't used to it. She backed away for a few seconds, but as the strong scent of iron filled the room, her hunger overpowered her and her eyes flashed red. She looked at me with narrowed eyes as her fangs elongated, and I shook my head as I quickly wrapped my hand.
"I'm going to go pack. Drink and then come heal me, ok?"
I didn't wait for her to answer. I knew she was fighting with herself as she gave me seconds to run away before she ignored the cup and sunk her fangs in my neck. She didn't like drinking from me because somehow, -and she doesn't know why- she connects with me and is able to read my mind for a few hours. At first, she thought she was going insane as it had never happened before, but once she recognized my inner voice and asked me if I was thinking a specific thing, she tried to never use me again.
It was almost next to impossible to pack my stuff into boxes with just one hand. I managed to toss all the small stuff into a box before a soft cough caught my attention. I slowly turned around, hiding my hand behind me -like if that would help anyways- and bit my bottom lip as I eyed her.
"I'm fine. I'm in control Em. Let me heal that hand really quick before you continue packing." I nodded once and we both walked to the bathroom we shared. With a creak from the pipes, the water slowly pour out from the faucet and I placed my unwrapped, injured hand underneath it, watching as the water turned red.
I watched as she ran her index and middle finger up and down my cut, hissing as the sharp pain spread through my palm again. She continued her up and down motion for a few more seconds before she released my hand and revealed a faded pink line.
"I've seen you heal me twice already and play with water multiple times, but I'm still amazed," I laughed as she turned off the faucet, before clearing our hands from any droplets with just a quick swoop of her hand.
"Well I'm still learning a few tricks here and there. I'm still not a master at my water bending gift."
"You're not a master at your languages as well," I laughed and she glared at me.
"Speaking of languages, today we have to go over your French."
"No," I groaned as I stomped my way back to my room. "I thought we were supposed to pack! We don't have time to speak if you want to leave soon!"
"Well we can pack while you learn. Doesn't hurt to multitask."
"Nooooo."
"Présentez-vous." (Introduce yourself) I didn't answer as I stuffed my clothes into a suitcase. "Présentez-vous Emilee!"
"Pourquoi devrais-je si vous connaissez déjà mon nom!" (Why should I if you already know my name!)
She just sent me another glare and walked away, mumbling stuff underneath her breath. She might be annoyed at me, but at least I got out of the lesson!
Now, where are we going this time?....

Ahhhh I'm sorry it's been a while since I've updated! I've just had HORRIBLE writers block and I thought I could cure it by reading.
But nope. It just made it worse! Lmao
I FINALLY updated the description! If you haven't checked it out, go read it!! It's not the best, but that's what I came up at the moment. I'll change it once I actually get a better version of it lmao
