Beloved
Capítulo 4
I slowly opened the door, not prepared for anything that was about to be thrown at us. My breath was lodged in my throat, expecting something to pop out and scare the living shït out of me. But when I saw the front desk man standing there with a huge smile on his face, I blinked rapidly and quickly switched my brain to Swedish mode.
"Ja?" (Yes?)
He held up a finger, and then stepped aside to reveal a shorter, rounder woman in normal clothes. She didn't have the hotels uniform, so seeing her standing there in a white tank top and khaki shorts surprised me.
"God eftermiddag." (Good afternoon.)
Well fuck..... He found a translator.
I forced a smile on my face and greeted the lady as Ali slowly crept up behind me. I noticed her slightly tense up when the woman spoke in "our language", but she quickly hid it with a smile and left the room, nodding and repeating everything she said with, "Yes!" and "Im so sorry! Of course!" in Swedish.
I slowly closed the door behind me and slumped down against my bed, shaking my head as my memories began to shift again.
How did she get a memory? How did that show make her get a memory? Tatiana had long ago told her that by turning her into a vampire, her memories had to be erased. But she never explained why they needed to be erased. She never said if it was a side effect from the change, or if it was because she wanted to take them.
We hadn't seen her in a while actually. Once I was old enough to know what I was doing, Ali took a couple of our belongings and we escaped. I don't think she was even looking for us; I mean she was the mother of all witches, the most powerful one, so she could find us if she wanted to.....
I didn't realize my short thoughts were actually longer then I realized when the slamming of a door spooked me.
"We have to leave."
I stood up. "Already? Why?"
"Cierra wants to take us around in a tour." I was about to open my mouth and ask who she was talking about, but she beat me to it. "The translator."
"Oh."
"Yeah. To top it off, she wants to meet our parents." I groaned with her as she harshly yanked out clothes and undergarments from her bags. "That's why I hate having to stay in hotels. People get suspicious, and then we have to leave again." She kept on hissing as she slammed the bathroom door and I groaned again. For the second time in the span of an hour, I threw myself in the bed and buried my face on the pillows.
Gosh I sometimes hated my life!

*Dimitris' pov*
We were close.
We were so close into catching this witch, but at the last second she disappeared in her puff of smoke with a smirk.
I took out the cellphone that had only a couple of numbers programmed already into it and quickly scrolled to the one I was looking for. It didn't even ring twice before he answered with a sigh.
"Dimitri."
"She escaped from us. We were breaths away from FINALLY grabbing her and she disappeared."
Language that would make any sailor proud came from his side and I chuckled. "Dimitri, this isn't funny."
"I know Al-"
"Where are you?"
I hissed, irritated he had interrupted me and I heard him growl in return. "Florida."
He grunted. "The Locus Pack should grant you shelter for as long as you are there. I'll make sure you and your men aren't attacked."
I rolled my eyes as I gave the men who were following me in this hunt the cue to finish up and leave. I walked out the busted door of the abandoned apartment building she had been hiding, and flew down the stairs in seconds as I replied back. "Thanks. Although I should think they should know not to attack the vampire King by now. We are working together to find the girls."
I got into the car, ignoring the suspicious looks the homeless people were giving us and nodded to Jackson to drive away.
"We appreciate your help, but remember, just because you are helping us find our family, doesn't mean you are going to be part of it."
A deep snarl escaped my chest, and the car swerved to the side as Jackson tried to ignore the power I knew I was emitting. "She's my beloved!"
"AND YOU DIDNT WANT HER! WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN HAVE HER IF YOU FIND HER?"
"Listen here you son-"
"NO YOU LISTEN HERE! SHE IS MY DAUGHTER! BELOVED OR NOT, YOU HAVE TO RESPECT ME FIRST TO GET TO HER. NOW SHUT YOUR TRAP AND FIND THEM!" The line disconnected and I hissed in frustration. The phone crumbled into pieces as my fist curled up, and I threw them out the window, not caring if I was littering at the moment.
I took deep breaths to calm myself down, and when I managed to do so, we were already crossing over to the Locus pack.
"Smells like wet dog," Jackson grumbled and I sighed.
"Well get used to it. This is going to be our new home until we find that witch." Be on guard. No one leaves the grounds without a partner and without informing me. All the rules from before apply here as well, am I understood?
I got a bunch of grunts from them all and I stiffened up as the alpha from the pack paused in front of the car, causing Jackson to swerve to avoid from hitting him.
"Damn dog!"
As soon as we got out, he didn't waste a second for small talk. "I am-"
"Yeah, I know who you are. Just show us the way to our rooms and we will remain hidden from your packs view until we leave."
He growled in annoyance but nodded, feeling my royal aura. Another stuck up alpha; another person who thought they could rule me around, just because they had "high" power.
Yeah right.....
After he left us, I nodded off in approval to the few who were leaving to feed, and the rest who wished to continue hunting. There was only one person who stayed behind, Thomas, and he just stared at me, waiting for some instructions.
"I know you're new at this life, but you don't have to be with me 24/7 just because I'm your King," I huffed in annoyance. He winced, and bowed as he spoke.
"Then what should I do?"
I sighed. "Go and find me another phone. I need to make phone calls." He quickly left, his speed rustling the curtains from the windows. I just stood in my spot, -in front of the so said window- and watched the emptiness be more..... empty.
Without even thinking about it, my mind went back to that day. I always thought about it, and I would always tell myself, 'What would have happened if I reacted differently?'
'You would have felt the bond break' my subconscious told me and I frowned. But that wasn't possible. When she was born, I could clearly feel the pull from her. Her mothers scream of pain for the third time had frozen both Alex and I in concern, but we only froze even more when we saw a third child being born. Then when I felt the pull I thought I had had with Delilah shift over to the baby, my thoughts immediately shifted.
'No..... No..... It can't be...... I can't have a BABY as a beloved! She can't be queen!'
I ran because I was scared. Scared that fates had made the third, unexpected, royal werewolf baby, my beloved. I didn't even know she was dead until Alexanders Prince/Beta William had told me the news.
My beloved. Dead and gone, along with her aunt. She was human, and not a werewolf as I had originally thought.
But why? WHY? This did not make any sense, whatsoever! Tatiana only knew the answers to all of our questions, but the bïtch of a witch kept on running, and hiding. And she was good. Almost eighteen years of searching and this was the closest we have ever gotten.....
"Gosh," I whispered to myself as I rubbed my face. "It's been almost eighteen years. She's already grown up and ready to be Queen....."
"We will find her-them, sir." I stiffened at he sound of his voice, but quickly relaxed. I held out my hand, and not even two seconds later a small weighted object was placed on my palm. "I made sure that the number was the same, and that all of your contacts were transferred over. Is there anything else you need?"
Still looking out the window, I watched a small squirrel run up a tree, a nut in his furry hands, as another one chased it, clearly fighting for the source of food. Just thinking about it made my throat burn in thirst, and I slowly turned to a nervous Jackson.
"Ready for some more hunting lessons?"

Grrr...... I don't know what I'm doing anymore. My brain is a big jumble of mess, and my thoughts are flying everywhere.
(This resembles my thoughts PERFECTLY)
My heart broke when I didn't win anything for the Wattys, but then at the same time I kinda KNEW I wasn't going to win. There are a bunch of talented writers out there (better then the 💩 I write lol) so I'm happy for them 😄👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I apologize for the late update. Life has been kicking my ass lately.....

P.S.
Is it annoying that I'm switching POV every time? Do you guys like that? Or do you want me to keep it with one specific person?
