JiEun parks the car in their garage and Y/N walks out looking emotionless. They make their way to their home and soon Y/N rushes to her room and JiEun stands in the middle of the living room, remembering the day her little cousin returned home with a broken heart.

JiEun was making dinner while humming some songs when she hears the front door open. Realizing that her little cousin might be back she turns off the stove and makes her way out with a wide smile, ready to tease the younger. But what she saw made her heart drop to the pit of her stomach. Her little cousin was rushing to her room with drenched clothes and she was sure that the latter had red eyes.

JiEun takes off her apron and rushes to Y/N's room which was thankfully unlocked. She walks into the room but finds no one. She hears sobs coming from the bathroom and rushes into the bathroom to see her little cousin bawling her eyes out. "Y/N-ah, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" the clueless older asks embracing her little cousin who leans into her embrace. It took a couple of minutes but Y/N finally calmed down by her cousin's soothing words and comforting embrace.

Once her sobs stopped completely, she takes a moment to let everything sink in before uttering the words, "Tae broke up with me" she says in a numb tone. JiEun who was comforting her, stills for a moment before looking at her wide-eyed. "That's impossible" The older denies what she heard but the younger shakes her head, "He did eonnie. And his excuse was that he is not sure about his feelings anymore" she states calmly and that scared the older.

No matter how calm Y/N looked that was a sign that she was bottling up her feelings just like she did when she was first bullied in junior high. "He really thinks I will believe his bullshit of an excuse when it's clear as day that he is tired of dating the fat girl, tired of dating me." She states and JiEun frown at that, "Y/N, my pretty little dumpling, you are the cutest and most adorable being. And you're the most beautiful person, both inside and out and it's his mistake that he decided to lose you" JiEun pep talks to the girl who was deeply insecure.

That night she cuddled her sister who wouldn't let go of her cousin. JiEun talked to Y/N's parents and made the girl move to another country from where she was homeschooled all of her last few months of high school. A week after the breakup, Kim Taehyung turned up at their place, begging JiEun to tell him about Y/N's whereabouts but remembering how vulnerable and broken her sister looked JiEun turned a blind eye to his pleas and soon moved away from that place.

JiEun hid about Taehyung's visits from Y/N. It was with a good intention though. JiEun wanted to tell her sister but noticing how confident and strong the girl was growing away from him, away from the toxic people, she could not bring herself to do that. But when she joined Taehyung's company and came to know how he was still waiting for the woman he foolishly broke up with, she could not wait any longer. That was the main reason why she rushed her cousin to go back home as soon as her graduation finished.

And JiEun wanted to directly suggest her sister join the same company as her but she knew the latter would doubt so she smartly utilized the opportunity of the woman who was on maternity leave. And she's been waiting for the couple to reconcile, although her sister acts as if she is over everything she knew deep down Y/N always had feelings for him and only him.

Taehyung walks into his apartment and unbuttons his vest and plops on the couch in the living room his mind replaying the images of the woman he has been looking and waiting for. And the memories of why he did what he did.

Taehyung was laughing along with a girl around his age, the duo was playing with a Shiba Inu. The parents were chatting heartily since they were family friends. Taehyung and the girl walk towards the elders when they hear a part of their conversation, "Look how good they look with each other, how about we let my daughter marry your son in the future?" the girl's mother says making Taehyung's parents share a look.

"They are barely eighteen now, when they grow up they might find the right one for them by themselves, why bind them in a betrothal this early?" Taehyung's mother speaks up making the other three nod, "But my daughter stated that she has taken a liking towards Taehyung, she said she wants to marry him in the future" the girl's mother states sadly, Taehyung was shaken while the girl beside him blushes furiously.

"As I said, they are teenagers, she might change her liking once she grows up. Let's consider this if your daughter still likes my son after they turn 25" Taehyung's mother suggests and the other three nod before they jump into another topic. The girl joins the adults while Taehyung was immersed in thoughts, 'He was not even an adult. He might change his heart and liking, would he break y/n's heart then?' he was clouded by what-ifs and uncertainty.

After thinking thoroughly, he decided to take a break from the relationship. If they both still have feelings for each other even after their graduation, then he will talk to her about everything. She would understand him, she has always understood him.

A week after his break-up, he was completely down. His friends trying hard to cheer him up but he was not getting any better and not having seen her for a whole week has added to his worry. He wanted to go to her place and pull her into a hug asking her to go back to school, go back to him but the uncertain thoughts have always stopped him.

That day he went back home to see his parents who got back from a business trip. His mother immediately noticed that something was wrong with her son so she confronted him about it and he told her everything from his falling for a certain girl to breaking up with her over the uncertain thoughts he got. His mother smacks him on the head softly and shakes her head.

"Did you really think I wouldn't know about your little girlfriend?" she asks and he pouts looking away, "The reason why I said those words to the Sans was because I know you love Y/N and are in a relationship with her. What's more, I think she is a lovely girl and would be the perfect better half to you, so I refused them for the betrothal. How can I accept that when I have my favorite ship between you and Y/N?" she says and he looks at her with wide eyes.

"But what if what you said is true? What if my feelings change? What if she changes?" he asks looking down. "Tae, you are not a kid anymore. You both are almost adults. And I've seen how she takes care of you and how much you love her. You both would love each other to the end of the world, I know my son and I believe in Y/N. Go to her, apologize to her, and explain your insecurities and uncertainties. Beg till she forgives you and wins her back before anyone else wins her over."

His mother's words fill him with new determination and the boy immediately leaves to win his love back only to know that she has left the country and asked to not let him know of her whereabouts. But he did not give up, not till he become the CEO of his father's business.

He sighs thinking how she was so close to him and there he was enjoying the days with his secretary. She looked the same but also new at the same time. Was it her style? Her features? Her physique? Or her aura? But man whatever it was, he fell for her all over again just in a single glance and this time, he is determined to keep her stay and make her his. He won't let go of this Chance.
