Kim.Co, 7 PM

Among the chatter and classy music playing around, JiEun pulls her cousin aside who looks at her in confusion. "Unnie, what's wrong?" the younger asks her cousin who seemed nervous and fidgety. "Y/N, I hid something really important from you", JiEun utters making the younger frown at the latter, "What is it unnie? You look nervous, we can talk about anything that's at home, if you're this fidgety" Y/N utters but her cousin shakes her head.

"No, I need to tell you this, now" JiEun utters and pauses to look at the younger who looks at her in confusion, "I..." JiEun's words cut off when Shuhua pulls her team leader saying that the General manager was calling for her. JiEun tries to say something but Y/N was already dragged away. "I'm sorry dear" JiEun mumbles to herself.

After reaching MinHo, Shuhua lets go of  Y/N's hand who looks at them in confusion. "You're here great, everyone on your team is here, so I'll tell you what's gonna happen" MinHo starts and they all nod waiting for his instructions. "Mr.Kim will be invited onto the stage and he will make a small speech and then we invite the Italy clients and after their speeches, we finally get to meet Mr.Kim. Sinceyouall know him it would be the first time for Ms.L/N to meet with him, and believe me he is eager to meet the person who made this deal success" he finishes and they all smile wide.

"Ms.L/N, Mr.Kim is the heartthrob of our company along with MinHo-nim. And our team consists of the most handsome men in the company" Shuhua whispers into Y/N's ear who chuckles rather, "Who said it's only the guys, even the ladies in our team are the prettiest among the whole company, well including JiEun-nim and Hyejin too" Y/N whispers back gaining a giggle from the girl. 

Their conversation got cut short when MinHo announced to everyone's attention from the podium through the microphone. Y/N noticed a woman in a black dress, her hair reached to her hips and her face had a formal smile while conversing with one of the Italy clients. Although she had a fake smile she made it look genuine, Y/N thought she might be some model. "That's Nancy, Mr.Kim's personal secretary. There are people who create rumors about them both having a relationship" Jisoo gives her the info which shooks the chunky girl. 

"I thought she was some model", Y/N says turning to Jisoo who nods with a chuckle, "She went to model training before she joined here, and that's why many employees here get intimidated by her beauty, they feel like she's their competition", Jisoo fills in making her nod. They were so caught up in the conversation that they missed MinHo inviting the CEO onto the stage, but they realize that upon hearing people around them clapping. 

Y/N squints her eyes at the green-suited man whose face she couldn't see yet. Just when he was about to turn to face the crowd someone bumped into Y/N making her draw her attention to the female who bumped into her in a hurry and was apologizing to which Y/N smiled and bowed back saying, "It's fine" she was still gazing at the woman who was now walking away. Her heart drops to her stomach upon hearing the familiar deep voice that got goosebumps to creep down her skin.

She wanted to turn back and deny that it was the same man whom she tried hard to forget, she didn't want to believe it but she had to turn around to make sure. She slowly turns around, head looking down. The voice was his for sure, taking a deep breath she raised her head, and her breath hitches upon seeing Kim Taehyung, her Ex-Boyfriend, now her boss speaking about how elated he was to know that this project has become a success.

Y/N couldn't focus on anything but his figure, the surroundings seemed blurry and she couldn't hear anything he was speaking. Memories hit her like a truck and in no time tears started to stream down her cheeks. She didn't want to be there, she couldn't meet him, not yet, not now.

But she didn't have much choice when Mr.Russo walked up to her with a fake business smile."You look pale Ms.L/N, I thought you would be happy after getting this deal" the skanky man says and Y/N takes a deep breath, she can't lose her cool, she had to professional. "I indeed am happy Mr.Russo, but if you haven't noticed, I'm in a rush to reach somewhere, so if you excuse me" she tries to walk away but the man holds her wrist.

"Mr.Russo, I would appreciate it, if you let go of me", she says and he flashes his yellow teeth, "I don't want to", he says and tightens his grip on her, she tries to withdraw from his grip but he wouldn't let her go, since it being away from the event area, no one was paying attention to them.

Lucky for her the very man whom she helped earlier by passing some evidence has to come to her rescue, "Mr.Russo, You don't want Mrs.Russo to know about the things you do, now do you?" he asks and the skanky man drops his smile in an instant. "Mr.Ricci, why do you seem to find it fun to ruin my life?" the Russo asks gritting his teeth and letting the grip on the female loosen.

"If you weren't married to my older sister then maybe I wouldn't have to look into whatever the shit you do", Antonio says pulling the lady gently behind him. Mr.Russo walks away cursing some profanities under his breath. "Are you alright m'lady?" Antonio asks the woman turning to her she nods her head with a small smile. "Thanks for helping me Mr.Ricci", she says with a grateful smile.

"How did you even end up in his clutches?" the man asks scanning to see if she was injured, "I was rushing somewhere and he kinda popped out of nowhere and asked me why I looked pale and all" she responds but soon realizes the man was leading her back to the place she was rushing away from. She was about to say something but MinHo's voice cuts through their conversation.

"Mr.Ricci I was looking for you all over and Y/N where were you? We were looking for you all over the place" MinHo says before leading them a few more steps ahead where she saw his back turned to her while talking to her team. "Mr.Kim, here's Ms.L/N the team lead and project manager I was talking about"

Taehyung turns to her which felt as if like the world was going in slow motion. The moment his eyes falls on her he widens his eyes not believing what he was seeing. Y/N looks down not daring to look at him but she slowly raises her head upon gaining a nudge from one of her teammates beside her and their eyes meet making the world go still around them.
