The Rise Of The Celestial Fighter

"Can you please tell me why you're taking me out of the hospital?" I asked being dragged out by Jellal in this uncomfortable wheelchair.

Is anything at this hospital comfortable? Because I have yet to find it.

"Because we're going on an adventure!" He said, smiling walking out the hospital doors to his car.

"You do know this is considered kidnapping right? I could have you arrested."

"Well I'm hoping you don't do that and give this day a chance."

"A chance for what?"

"To have fun before you become a working man!"

I questioned in my head the same question a million times.

Do I go with this insane fan who could try to kill me, but I can also have a good time?

Or do I call the cops?

Well you only live once!

"So where do you suggest we go first?" I asked.

The familar smell of blood, sweat, tears, and death invaded my nose walking through the doors of the building.

"Welcome back to the underground!" Jellal said, grabbing a mask out of his pocket.

"What's with the the mask?" I asked, eyeing him suspiciously.

"It's for you." He stuffed the hat over my head covering everything except for my eyes, "you see, after your fight against that Kai guy people have been out to get you."

I raised my brow, "out to get me?" I scoffed, "why?"

"Because they think you're a easy target now. The boss put a little bounty on you."

"The boss? Who's this boss?"

"How do you not know the boss? He's the one that runs almost every fight Club in New York."

"What? Why would he put a bounty on me? What did I do?"

"Beats me. All I remember is seeing your name on the bounty poster for the month. So all you have to do is just lay low for a month and the bounty should be gone."

I sat back into my wheelchair, suprised, "why is it that I'm just now hearing about this boss guy? What's his name?"

"No one knows. This guys a mystery no one's ever seen him except for one guy."

"Who's this guy?"

"You remember the Aviator?"

"Don't tell me you mean the aviator. Gildarts trainer?"

He nodded, "That's the one."

"After gildarts died I remember hearing about how he just disappeared. By now the old man has to be dead."

"You're probably right, but that's the only known person who's ever seen the bosses face. Whoever this guy is he has a real interest in you."

"Yeah, and I kinda wanna know why."

"Hey look," he pointed to the ring, "another match is about to begin."

Jellal pushed me to the front of the crowd which gave us a special look at the ring. It's different seeing the ring in this perspective.

"Our first fighter in corner A is the one and only Celest!" The crowd erupted with continuous chanting of their name.

"Celest! Celest! Celest!" They cheered.

The figure came out of the shadows wearing a silk black robe with gold writing sewn on the back that read celestial fighter. The robe came off revealing their mask hiding their identity except for a strand of blonde hair the peaked from the side, and their curvy figure that even I couldn't take my eyes off.

"A woman?" I whispered.

"Yep," Jellal nodded, smirking, "that's Celest. She's a new fighter who hasn't been defeated once yet."

"Really?" I said, intrigued by her, "a strong fighter," I whispered.

"If you ask me she should be fighting guys. She's way to strong to just be fighting woman." Jellal said, "she's pretty scary."

"She doesn't seem scary to me."

"That's because you haven't seen her fight yet."

"And in corner B we have one of the legends Flare!"

Natsu chuckled, "It's over for the blondie."

Jellal furrowed his brow, "and why would you say that?"

"Flare has been the top female fighter here for several years. She's almost unbeatable. Even I wouldn't want to pick a fight with her."

He chuckled, "you're getting ahead of yourself Dragneel."

I smirked, "wanna bet?"

"Alright ladies touch gloves." The announcer said, "and remember ladies there's no rules. The only way you can lose is if one of the refs is feeling nice today or you die."

They both put in their mouth guards, touching gloves.

"Let the best fighter survive." The bell rang indicating the match to start, "let's go!" He yelled, rushing out of the ring to safety with the judge's.

"Look out Celest!" Flare said, smirking, "I don't know if you heard but I'm one of the best around here and I don't intend to lose that title anytime soon, especially not to a mask wearing newbie."

Celest only kept her distance, silent, not even fazed by her comments.

"Strong spirit, I like that." I said.

"You haven't seen anything yet," Jelllal smirked.

They both were a fair distance away from each other with their gloves blocking their faces. Flare was the first to make her move, throwing a right uppercut, but this wasn't just an ordinary right uppercut. She's spent years developing this and I haven't seen it fail her once. She quickly threw the uppercut making Celest dodge it moving to her left. That smirk on Celest made flare chuckle, knowing what was coming next.

"I'm not done yet blondie," She whispered.

Celest's eyes widened when she saw flares left fist swinging toward her at almost an impossible speed.

"She uses that right hook as a distraction while she prepares her left fist for her famous hook. She makes sure you dodge her right so she can hit you with her left."

Jellal scoffed, "What a cheap move."

"That cheap move got her twelve knockouts in the past few months."

"Few months?" Jellal's eyes widened.

"Yep. No one has ever been able to dodge that punch and stand up from it or at least get up without a scratch."

The punch connected with Celest's cheek making her fall to the ground, dazed, by the impact. She couldn't get up without falling back to the ground. The shadow lurking behind Celest made her tremble, striking a little fear inside her. She turned her head slightly to see flares wicked smile and her long red hair that fell from her ponytail. Flare grabbed Celest's hair, gripping it tighter and tighter by the second. She let out a bloodthirsty laugh, scaring the audience a bit, including me.

"It was over before it started blondie. You should really leave the fighting to the grown ups." She put her arm around celest's throat choking her.

Celest tried to grab her arm but she was too weak in her dazed state. The punch from earlier is still taking its toll.

"What the hell?! Ref! Do something!" Jellal yelled out, "she's going to kill her!"

"No rules buddy." The ref yelled, popping his gum, "the only way this match is stopping is if I say so, and guess what? I don't say so!" He spit his gum out on Jellal, letting it land on his face.

I stared at the gum that landed on his right cheek, "I don't think he likes you." I said.

"You think!" Jellal yelled, flicking the gum off his face, "she's going to die up there and this jerk face isn't doing anything about!"

"There are no rules in the underground Jellal. You should know that."

"Yeah but if he doesn't stop this..." He stared back at Celest, watching her struggle to free herself, "she's going to die."

Even though I agree with the no rule at this club, sometimes I can agree some of the fighters here take it too far.

We watched as Celest pinched, grabbed, and scratched but flare wouldn't budge, "just die already! I'm trying to set a new record." Frustrated she gripped her throat even tighter making even harder for Celest to move.

"Come on!" Jellal yelled. "This isn't fair!"

Her vision began to become blurry and the sound of the crowd was almost inaudible. It felt as if her eyes were bulging out of her head. She knew if she didn't do anything now she would die. So she did what she had to do in order to survive...

She bit her arm.

"Woah!" Jellal said, "I've never seen anyone bite anyone here before."

I laughed, "Yeah, me neither."

With all the strength she had left she bit down as hard as she could on her arm. Blood arose from Flare's flesh as she continued to bite down. Flare let out a bloodcurdling scream, grabbing her arm back. Celest fell to the ground trying to bring air back into her lungs. Her mouth dripped with Flares blood making her spit it out on the ring.

Flare grabbed her blood drenched arm, "you bitch!" She screamed, "look at what you did to my arm! You'll pay for that!" She ran after Celest throwing a punch from her opposite arm.

Celest quickly dodged it, rolling to the other side of the ring, "She hasn't fully recovered yet," I whispered, "if she doesn't do anything now, then she's really done for."

"Come here you bitch!" Flare continued chasing her around throwing her heaviest and strongest punches.

Celest continued to dodge them and run around the ring.

"What is she doing?" Jellal said, "She needs to attack her or something. Why is she just dodging?"

My eyes widened, "What did you say?"

"Um I said why is she just dodging?" He stared at me curiously, "why what's wrong? Did you figure something out?"

"There's no way she's doing what I think she's doing." I couldnt help but laugh hysterically, "she's using that move from gildarts."

"Wait what? What move?"

"You remember that fight between him and Byro."

"Yeah but what does this have to do with that?"

"Can't you see?! Gildarts was trying to tire out byro by making him throw his strongest punches and move around the ring. Don't you see what she's doing?"

It was like a light bulb went off in his head, "she's a fan too?"

"That's not the point." I whispered.

This girl. She's something special I bet.

Flare threw another punch but it wasn't like the other punches from before. This one was quite weaker and both me and Celest relealized the same thing.

It was time to fight back.

Quickly she threw a punch landing it directly on her left side. Flare fell back feeling completely numb.

But Celest didn't stop there.

She threw a right jab landing on flares jaw, splattering blood everywhere on the ring. She threw another landing on her cheek, making her left side of her face go absolutely numb. Jab after jab, hook after hook, Celest didn't hold back any of her punches letting flare feel her true power. Flare fell to the ground, unable to move any part of her body. Her face was swollen and her body was too weak.

Celest had won the battle.

She hovered over flares body. I couldn't help but eye her suspiciously, "What is she up to?"

She picked flare up by her hair, gripping it tighter than flare had done to her. Her bloodcurdling scream was heard from around the room. Celest stared into her eyes sending fear into her. She trembled staring into her eyes. It was as if something awoke in her.

A true monster.

"Your cocky attitude gets you nowhere. It'd be wise not to underestimate your opponent again. Remember this mistake." She threw flare to the ground, leaving her lifeless body on the ring.

"And the winner is the celestial fighter!" The ref raised her arm, making the crowd burst in cheers, rage, and excitement.

"What did I tell you?" Jellal smirked, nodding his head, amused, "this girl's something else huh?"

I smiled, "Yeah, something else."
