I don't know why I hadn't told her before! Why I hidden things from her?, maybe I don't know the correct answers to it, but one thing for sure is I have a fear of judgement. Yeah, I've it. I don't tell everything which is running in my mind, and above all, I can't explain myself.

..yet, when Vess confronted me, all night. I spilt the truth, what had happened in these days, since that day of Hamptons to yesterday's, Challenge.

I expected her, to get angry at me, or yell at me, and maybe even judge me, but I was wrong. All she did was hold me and gave me the courage to win. She's going to help me no matter what the condition is.

Though I didn't tell her about the kiss. I didn't tell her about the party where he kissed me, and I kissed him back without even knowing exactly who he is at that moment. I know I should have told her about It, but I'm not sure if I'm able to say those things! for me, It's a shame .yes it is a shame that I'm that desperate for the kiss when an opportunity came to me, I grab it without even thinking.

Sometimes, I doubt myself, my side of friendship towards her, but again maybe I'm overthinking?

"Attention please."

I gazed out from my not so cool thinking towards the men, who was dressed in all black, as he was going to hunt down with his furious, calculating eyes.

But wait a second who's he? And where am I?

"First round is about to start in one hour, before that, MrBennet wants to tell you about it," said he, in a very duh tone, while continuously glancing at his black watch.

Maybe, he's a very busy man, or maybe not.

When the spotlight, flashed on where he was standing, then I got to know that, he was our P. E. teacher, whom class I didn't take in years.

so, I'm in the auditorium of the school, for the first round, which Is about to begin, and yet, they didn't tell us, what is going to happen! What is 'The First Round' is about? I don't know all about the whole theory of our school, I mean they aren't telling us! They just want to give us a heart attack, okay! Not everyone, but I"ll get it. However, this whole thing is in suspense, like it is a scene of some suspense-thriller, movie, in which we don't know, what is going to happen? All we know is that there is something -something, which is about to come, and, yet we didn't know anything about. We also can't escape from there, we just have to face it, and we know, that bomb is about to explode anytime, soon on our head.

Almost, one week passed. since, the whole signature thing, and the Challenge. The day, when Vess came to my home, after the next day of it. I signed on papers in front of a name as a confirmation, that I'm a participator in the competition .after the whole signature thing, and all the student's confirmation of the competition, I got to know that, there is a total of fifty students, in numbers, who are going to hunt down each other throats, just to win the title.

Curious. Isn't it?

Yes. Is it. Very much. I mean it's not that, all the students are doing it just for. fun, reputation, attention, popularity, award, or title. Yes, they are not completely doing it for just these things.

If any one of us wins the title, he/she also wins the special scholarship to get admission directly at the most prestigious university of all time. Of course, it is Howard, yes it is fucking 'Howard University '.I mean every student had the perfect dream to go to Howard University in their life. Just like others, mine is also is to go any University, where I can learn things, and make my future bright, but it doesn't have to be on number one, I don't know, why? But I don't like the Ranking system where, anybody can judge you based on ranking just like in this competition, where you've to be on top. otherwise, no one gives a damn about you.

But, due to the whole this thing, and the direct ticket to Howard University, one question pops in my mind, that when every student wants to go there! Then, why just fifty of us applied for it!

This question is easily went blur, when three days, before today, Mr Bennet told us that, over one fifty applications have arrived for the competition, but they selected only fifty students, from them to even get a chance to participate. While they neglected the other Hundred Students.

And, I don't know why they selected me, Arr .... Ys, I'm good at studies, and regular at school, but I'm not popular. No one even knows me! And above all, I'm not good at anything which is not related to Academics,

"Students, listen carefully." Mr Bennet's voice echoed in the whole Auditorium

Just .shut up, And listen Carefully.

"The first round is all about your presence of mind, and how quick you can solve things within seconds. It is about your strength and weakness at the same time. Oh, and last but not least is it about your coordination with each other, the way you handle things, hen you've to work in a team. " He declared.

Ok! So, in this round, we don't have to play individual .infact, we have to work in a team.

Well, your situation gets worse!!

My inner voice whined.
First of all, there were three rounds to win the title, I got to know about it the day when I signed the papers.
Yes. You heard right! All we know is that there are three rounds to win the title, and they are going to happen every week, and in the last of the month. Cross River High School gets it Student of the year!

All the suspension is killing me though, I'm not always the girl who like suspense in real -life. well, I think that no other girl likes it.

Stop thinking!

How can I put a stop to my imagination? When Mr Bennet is not ready to tell us everything in one breath, and I can't put a stop to my imagination.
Imagination gives me wings! After-all.

"First Round Is. "

A voice moved through the whole auditorium to my ears.
I moved my head to see other students reaction, to see that, they have any worry on their face or something like that, but I found none. All the faces were set in determination for winning like they are waiting for listening so that they can find any solution how to win!
And here I'm hyperventilating, sweat started dripping from my forehead, my limbs were aching, and my heart, well it is about to explode!

"Treasure Hunt. "

What does it mean? Did I hear right?

"There will be 10 teams, each of them consisting five-five students, a list of teams is already prepared, randomly ."

Just don't be with Cole and Veronica.

I was continuous, murmuring in a very low voice with my finger crossed.

"You have to solve Clues, only the first clue is given by us. Understand! Let me make it clear we don't want any type of cheating in this competition, if any student found out in that, then he/she will be disqualified, or their whole team. Everybody! It is Clear?" Yelled Mr Bennet.

We all nodded our head in approval, and muttered, "Yes. Mr Bennet. "

"So, here are the teams. Jessica, Nicholas -------," and so on. "

When was my name going to appear? Only two teams left!

"And the next team is Cole Maxwell, Blake johnson, Ivan lynch, Pattrick wood, Alex Eaton."

All the boys of Cole's team went towards the area where other teams were already stood. His team members are new to me, though it's not my mistake that I didn't know them, they were all like Models, who are ready to walk on a ramp. Maybe they were Cole's teammates.
Yeah. the way they were high-fiving each other, and throwing some kicks in the air, like they do in football.
I know they all were good looking, but it doesn't mean that girls have to stare at them shamelessly.

"Girls these days," I muttered. Rolling my eyes.

And the ninth team was also announced, yet my name didn't appear.

Why are you whining, didn't you wanted, that your name never appeared on the list?

"The last team of Today's Round is Amanda Parker, July Steven, Nathan Jayson, Tori Cahill, Veronica Stratford. "

I became deadpanned, when I heard that, I and Veronica we both are in the same team.

Come on. You can't be afraid of her, kick her ass!

HA! HA! Idiot kicking her ass in this time, means kicking my ass also, didn't you heard we both are in the same team.

I just hope that she will not play dirty, and not do anything to make trouble for me.

By the way the looks, she is giving me, I'm not sure about her.
