Hello everyone! This message is specifically for people who read the previous chapter only once. The chapter was updated again few days later, so do read it once again.

"Hey Mr. Nice, finally you got time to see if your friend is alive or not? Even my assistant is better than you bro."

"Ho gayi teri nautanki chalu? Yahaan mujhe sirf musibatein dikh rahi hai aur tu yahaan ayashi karta baitha hai. Jab dekho janaab maze lete dikhtein hai." ( Started your drama already? Here, I can see only problems in my sight and you are too busy sharpening your womanizing skills. Enjoying your life as always.)

"Are! Din chalu nai hua, ke tu khadoos buddhe ki tarah chalu ho gaya. Aisa akhir hua kya hai?" ( Bro! The day hasn't even begun yet and you are already cribbing like a grumpy old man . What has happened exactly? )

Viren sighed and sat on the chair. He took a deep breath to vent out but he couldn't. So he took off the lid off the glass of water and emptied it in a single gulp, in a last attempt to get his thoughts together.

Finally, after calming down enough he told Virat all that took place yesterday.

"Oh wow! That's quite a lot dude. But there's nothing to worry about, if you ask me. You'll be getting married within 2 weeks. That's just awesome."

Seeing Virat's excitement, Viren couldn't help but feel excited too. But that same excitement had landed him in trouble. If he could have ignore his excitement and heeded to his father's warnings he wouldn't be in a dilemma right now.

"Voh toh hai ( I know that )...but you forget Jeevika doesn't know about all this. She is totally clueless in this matter. And Mom is talking about taking things to the next level this weekend which is in 2 days. While Jeevika's family and I have talked about this before, Jeevika hasn't interacted with my family from that perspective. And then, with this pace all of this will be too overwhelming for her. And she won't say a word about it. I know it because she always puts others before herself. And here, it's her family. Obviously she won't say no."

"Ah! So you aren't worried about her answer but about her actual feelings regarding this matter."

"Yes. And I..."
He ran his hands through his hair in frustration.
"I just can't figure out how to tell her all this. I can't even imagine what she will feel. That I played with her feelings? I went ahead with all this without asking her opinion. And-"

"Are bass bass. Dude, get your shit together. First, your mom is eager to get you two married but she is one of the most sensible people I know. She wants to take Jeevika's feelings into account. That's the real reason she wants to meet her today. I know it. Aunty would never force Jeevika into all this against her wishes."

"Agar Jeevika ke dil mein Viren ke liye thodi si bhi jagah hai, toh iss hafte hum shaadi ki baat aage badhayenge. ( If Jeevika likes Viren even a bit, then we will take things to next level this week. )"

Priya's words came back to his mind. And now that he paid careful attention to the if, he understood the real meaning of the words. In all the fiasco that took place he didn't pay attention to it. And then, he felt like the luckiest son in the world, for having a mother like Priya. He knew, if Jeevika didn't like him that way, Priya won't let this marriage happen no matter what. And of course he liked her a lot, but he also respected her feelings enough to let her go. He just prayed, that everything should go well with his mom.

"Naren! Help me choose my outfit. I need to impress her enough that if she wants to say no, she may think about it again after meeting me."

"Priya, wear anything you like but in my opinion a saree would suit you the best like always."

"Does it give the approachable vibes and make me look motherly though?"
She frowned a bit at the thought.

'You have no idea dear!' His mind provided the answer already known to him.

"Yes! It does." He chuckled.

"Aren't you being too casual about this?"
She frowned at his carefree approach.

"Aren't you being too nervous?"
Came his rhetorical reply.

"Of course I am. Even on our date, I had lots of back up plans so you won't leave me. And now, our son's happiness is at stake here. How can I not be nervous!"
She sighed sitting in front of the mirror.

He went and stood up behind her. Squeezing her shoulders, he smiled at her through the mirror.
"I know you will do it Priya. Frankly speaking, I am happy you took the matter in your own hands. Now, the father in law in me is also eagerly awaiting the day she becomes our rightful daughter. And if anyone can understand Jeevika's feelings without her verbalizing them, it's you. I know you will take the right decision. And as for whether she will like you or not. Frankly speaking I am afraid she will like you more than me."
He pouted while saying that.

"Hmm...how about this? Let her like me a bit more than you and I will love you even more than I have before."
Finally feeling her mood being uplifted, she winked at him through the mirror.

"Sounds good. Good luck!"

At Singhanias', like everyday routine Mandira was serving tea to her husband who was seemingly busy reading newspaper. Ranveer may be reading newspaper, but Mandira doesn't need to speak up to gain his attention. Knowing that his wife was someone who wouldn't share worries so easily, he had learned how to coax her. But now, being married to her all these years gave him enough experience to know what would worry her. And although it may seem, as if she was someone who would worry over small things, her worries weren't baseless either. And, then after Jeevika was born he couldn't help but feel worried himself. After all, parents always worry about their children no matter what. That's the lesson he learnt at least.

And just like she does when she wants to speak out her worries, Ranveer saw her clutching her pallu tightly, frowning at the thoughts that came to her mind while she absentmindedly sat in the chair beside him. He folded the newspaper keeping it aside and took her hands into his own.

"Mandira, chinta mat karo. Sab thik hi hoga. Meri Naren se baat ho chuki hai. Priya aaj Jeevika se baat karke humein batayegi. Phir hum sochenge ki baat aage badhani hai ya nahi." ( Mandira, don't wory. Everything will go well. I talked to Naren already. Priya will let us know after her talk with Jeevika. Then we'll think whether we should take things to next level or not. )

"Haa. Par mai chahti hun ki voh unki bahu bane. Isliye nahi ki voh amir hai par voh log dil se bhi utne hi saaf hai. Humari beti uss ghar mein beshak khush rahegi." ( Yes. But I want her to be their daughter-in-law. Not because they are rich but because they are good natured people. Our daughter will be happy if she goes there. I can say this without any doubt. )

"I agree. When I met Naren and his family, I knew they were genuine people and really liked our daughter. Viren too is a perfect man for our daughter. The way he spoke about her told me he was really interested. And then he specifically asked for our permission about getting to know her by joining the office earlier than before. And, now his mother Priya will try to get a feel of the things. The way they have carefully planned all this, they took notice of not only Jeevika's feelings but also considered ours regarding this matter. In such a short time they understand our daughter so well."

He smiled, and really hoped to become in laws with Vadheras'. They were good at heart and really hoped for things to go as per wishes of both the families.

I know, this chapter wasn't much happening like previous chapters but I also realized that Mandira and Ranveer's interaction is necessary before all this takes place. It's about their daughter after all.

So how was Ranveer and Mandira's chemistry?

Next chapter will be entry of 2 more characters. Any guesses who that might be? Stay tuned to know.

See ya, next week! 😉
