Chapter six

He felt so helpless standing by and doing nothing, his home burning to the ground and the only thing he could do was watch.

Watch while the flames burned away all of his memories and seemingly roaring stronger the more water was sprayed onto it. He was still in shock even an hour later. There had been smoke pouring in from under his bedroom door, he remembered opening the door out of curiosity only to be hit with a massive wave of boiling heat, burning ashes flying past him and onto his clothes burning through the fabric. He brought his arms up to shield his face, burning them and some of his torso.

He stared in horror at his room, engulfed by orange flames which were quickly spreading and eating away at his house. In a panicked run he dashed out the front door without his shoes only grabbing his coat. He could feel the heat on his back as the fire quickly spread to the hall eating the paint and wood.

Now safely outside the pain of his burns set in. His arms trembled from the pain and his teeth clenched, his neighbor had called the fire department and with them came an ambulance.

He was asked a few questions while his burns were treated and wrapped. He winced in pain and bit at his bottom lip, pain shooting up his arms with every second while they were being wrapped. 'Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!' He thought, angry tears forming in his eyes as the realization set in. It all seemed to crash down on him at once, the devastation and despair of losing everything.

"KATSUKI~!!'' Within seconds his mother's arms were wrapped tightly around his shoulders while she sobbed against his neck. "Oh thank g- goodness you're okay!" She said her voice cracking as she hugged him tighter, more tears streaming down her face "when I g- got the call I
t- thought... I thought y- you-" she choked on her words, unable to finish the sentence. He didn't need her too. 'I was dead,' he thought slowly, wrapping his arms around her as tears of his own fell.

He couldn't imagine the fear that grabbed hold of his mother after being told and the thought that her only son might have burned with the house crushing her.

"I'm okay" he soothed, doing everything in his power to keep his voice steady. "We're okay" he added in a low whisper, hidden meaning behind his words as his mind drifted to his baby. Some comfort came to him in knowing he was lucky not to have lost any of his loved one's and he'd escaped with minor injuries.

Mitsuki pulled back, wiping at her eyes before she pressed thankful and relieved kisses onto his face. He didn't move away or turn his head like he usually did, he sat there in the ambulance, knots twisting in his stomach and a sick nauseous feeling coming over him as he tried not to look at the burning wreckage of his home, home of ten years, now up in smoke.

'How did this even happen?' he thought, his crimson eyes filling with more tears, he blamed the hormones for all the emotions but he knew even without being pregnant still he would've cried. The weight of everything testing him, trying to break him.

"Kacchan!"

He looked up just as Deku's strong arms wrapped around him in a tight bone crushing hug, the alpha releasing relieved pheromones as he held the omega close to his chest.

Katsuki immediately wrapped his arms around him and ignored the searing pain from his burns. He hugged the alpha back just as tightly, burying his face in his sweet and calming scent glands.
He was safe now, protected by the only person he trusted to hold him like this. He couldn't help the feeling of drowsiness as his instincts told him it was okay to sleep now that he was safe and warm with a twitch of his fluffy cat's ears he caught himself letting go of the alpha.

"Mr Bakugou, I'm sorry about your home. The fire is taken care of but the investigation as to what caused it is still ongoing. We'll keep you updated"

Katsuki nodded not really listening as the weight of this whole disaster weighed down on him, like a pile of bricks had been dumped on him pushing him down and causing him to fight with everything he had just not to suffocate.

"Don't worry kacchan, I'm sure everything will work out," Deku assured, trying to make the blonde feel a little better. "And for the time being you can stay with me if you want, i mean my apartments small but it should be fine" he offered a little too hopeful.

The alpha's words did little to soothe the frustration the omega felt but they did bring some peace to him and the greenete's apartment couldn't be that bad. He'd only seen it one other time and that was some years ago when he was forced to help him move in

"sure whatever" he muttered looking away from him to hide the light shade of pink that spread onto his cheeks. Something inside felt so good knowing his childhood friend cared and butterflies fluttered inside the more he thought about the fact he'd be living in the same place as the person he'd liked for years but even after all this time he was still too chicken to say anything so he kept it locked away inside hoping it would go away.

The alpha softy smiled with a satisfied look on his face as he nodded, acting a little too happy about the whole thing which only caused the blonde to wonder if maybe this was a bad idea. He had enough stress knowing he had a whole human growing inside him without even thinking about how living with the alpha would work, his morning sickness and keeping his secret safe would be much more difficult with the alpha always around him, plus he was always too observant when it came to the omega, something Katsuki appreciated but was never to fond of.

"Tomorrow I'll take you shopping for new clothes and things" Deku promised, snapping Katsuki out of his thoughts of worry. The blonde only nodded his hands in his jacket pockets and his shoulders hunched a bit as he felt a chill run down his spine.

"Lead the way to your house moron" Bakugou called to the alpha as he began to walk towards his car after assuring his mum that he was fine and would call when he got the chance which seemed to soothe her worry a bit

He kept his gaze down as he walked to his car trying to avoid looking at the burnt remains of his home, he opened the car door and grabbed the spare key from under the rubber mat on the floor before getting into his car and immediately blasting the heaters.

Within minutes he was on the road, following behind Deku's dark blue car, on their way to the alpha's apartment. The blonde kept his eyes on the road but his mind was on other things, mostly trying to think of what he'd say when Deku asked about his sickness, it was unavoidable. At some point the greenete would ask about it, something he wasn't looking forward too.

About twenty minutes on the road before he parked in a decent looking apartment building parking lot, right next to Deku.

"Follow me" the alpha said, leading him inside and up to the very top floor, they walked down the end of the hall, the smell of cigarettes and alcohol polluting the air. Katsuki covered his nose with his hand as his stomach churned and twisted with nausea.

"Yeah sorry about the smell" Deku apologized even though he knew it wasn't his fault. The two stopped at a brownish tan door at the very end of the hall. Deku took out his keys and unlocked the door, swinging it open for the blonde to walk in and out of the awful smell.

The place was smaller than Katsuki had thought, though it wasn't bad, a nice big window and decent balcony with plants and flowers spread across the house. The living room, kitchen and dining room were all attached and down a short hallway there was a small bathroom and only one bedroom which was nice enough. The whole house smelled sweet, like candy and especially of the alpha's nice smelling scent of lime, not too strong but it definitely wasn't faint.

He noticed the greente had a small bowl of chocolates decorating the dining room table and a few scented candles spread out around the house. Including framed pictures all over the walls of him and his mum and lots of their class back in high-school.

"Make yourself at home. I hope you don't mind my cat shira. She's nice, just a little shy at first" Deku said, going over to the kitchen and looking through his fridge "would you like something to eat or maybe to drink?"

Katsuki shook his head not really feeling hungry, only tired. Though he knew if he took a nap this late in the day he wouldn't be able to sleep when night fell. The alpha nodded, closing the fridge and heading for his room. The thing that Katsuki noticed almost immediately was definitely the sweet smell but also how clean and organized everything was, he could practically see his own reflection in the countertops.

He wasn't sure what he was expecting to find but it definitely wasn't a clean, nice smelling and cozy place. 'Seems kinda lonely' he thought but shook it away. He lived alone besides his mother moving in some time ago but before that he would work long hours coming home to make a quick dinner and go to bed, no time for relationships or anything like that. He could only assume Deku was like that too.

He took a seat on the soft, warm couch settling in quite easily to his new surroundings. He curled up on the couch telling himself he was just gonna rest his eyes for a minute though it hardly took thirty seconds and he was out cold.

Deku came out a few minutes later from his bedroom, immediately noticing the omega fast asleep looking so calm like he didn't have a care in the world.

The alpha grabbed one of his many blankets and carefully put it over top of the blonde who stirred a little but didn't wake.

...

Katsuki woke up some hours later to the delicious smell of food, he wasn't sure what it was besides some sort of Ramen but it smelled amazing, his stomach growled as he pushed himself up and rubbed at his eyes with a tired yawn.

"Oh goodmorning" Deku teased once he noticed the little omega was awake.

"How long was i out?" He asked his eyes half lidded and the blanket wrapped tightly around his shoulders as he sat up.

"About four hours," Deku answered, turning back to the stove and the pot on it. The blonde nodded with a small sigh deciding he'd lay back down and only get back up after he was called to dinner.

He laid quietly staring at the ceiling, one hand gently caressing his upset stomach 'just hold on a little longer you little shit, you'll get food soon' he thought knowing the little brat was making a fuss inside and triggering his sickness.

"Dinner will be ready in a bit, i set out some clothes for you on my bed if you'd wanna take a shower or at least change" Deku said keeping his back turned to the omega.

With a tired sigh Katsuki got up from the couch, stretching the stiffness out of his bones before he decided to go wash up a bit, he was still covered in ash and sut.

The soft feel of the warm water running down his hands made him feel calm. He hadn't realized that he'd been so stressed, with his pregnancy on top of everything else it was too much, drowning him to the point he could hardly breathe.

He began to take off his dirty clothes and carefully removed the bandages from his arms, flinching a little at the slight stinging pain. The burns didn't look too bad, just red and extremely irritated with a few blisters on his wrists, luckily his chest was hardly touched and his face either.

Once the water was warm enough he carefully stepped in and slid the glass door closed. As the warm water ran down his body, washing away the ash from his hair and the smell of smoke from off his skin he couldn't stop the seemingly never ending thoughts.

He wondered if getting rid of the little parasite was such a good idea, knowing due to the fact that he was one of the rare male omegas and might not be able to get pregnant again.

He knew there were plenty of female omegas and especially of betas but only fifteen percent of the population were made up of male omegas and to practically everyone's shock included Katsuki.

His pheromones weren't exactly strong since he was born of two betas and when he first met new people they thought him to be an alpha due to his attitude and height however after they learned the truth they saw the characteristics of an omega, his slim waist and his nice hips a little to perfect for child bearing but he always thought of his second gender as a curse, to be so unlucky to have been born this way even with normal beta parents. The chances of birthing a male omega from two betas were next to none yet somehow Katsuki had been unlucky enough to present as an omega.

Having spent so much time around a dominant alpha's pheromones had triggered his omega side and caused his scent to get stronger along with his body, by now he especially fit into the role of omega with his hourglass shape more defined and his chest popping a bit more.

Even with being well made up and a perfect description of what an omega was he knew because he was a male omega his pregnancy was foreign to most doctors and the risks higher, in fact it was a miracle he'd gotten pregnant in the first place since he was only fertile enough when in heat which he always spent alone. But besides that if he got rid of his baby his body would go through a shock and maybe even permanently damage his reproductive organs, he still needed those in the future when he settled down with an alpha of his own and started a family together.

"Kacchan! Dinner is ready!"

The sounds of the alphas' voice snapped him out of his thoughts and reminded him he better get washed up and dressed especially since his baby was starving and it made its suffering very clear with bubbling sickness and pain in his stomach.

"I'm going as fast as I can you little brat! I can't feed you if you make me sick" he said not realizing he was talking out loud. He turned the water off and wrapped a towel around himself, being careful of his burns which didn't seem to hurt too bad even after the water was running down them.

He dried off as quickly as he could before going into the alpha's bedroom and seeing the clothes that had been laid out for him. A long sleeved oversized light pink shirt with fresh black and red boxers though considering how much of a size difference there was between him and the alpha they probably wouldn't fit. Lastly there was a pair of shorts with a string he could pull to tighten the waist.

He quickly got dressed into the clothes trying on the boxers but they slid down his legs immediately. He got the shorts on and tightened them up before going to look at himself in the mirror. The shirt went down to his knees and slipped off his shoulder a little but was warm and the shorts were a bit big but thankfully covered by the shirt.

He brought the collar of the shirt up to his nose immediately the sweet scent of the alpha filled his nostrils and lungs however the once nice and refreshing scent now smelt awful and bitter immediately causing him to gag and eventually lose his once enjoyed breakfast.

'You little shit!!' Katsuki growled in his thoughts, he wasn't surprised that his kid hated everyone else's smell except Todoroki's 'damn pest!'

He wasn't too worried about this new problem since the scent was faint on the shirt and the house mostly smelled of vanilla and a little of chocolate though the smell of the alpha was weak and it still made him sick.

"You look a little pale. Are you feeling okay?"

Katsuki looked up from his ramen not realizing he'd been deep in thought again "I'm fine. Just still recovering i guess" he replied, eating his nice and hot dinner again. Having food in his stomach felt good and stopped his nausea rather quickly.

"I bought dessert too, just a small cake with strawberries on top, '' Deku said, trying to make small talk with the blonde who didn't feel like talking much. Just wanting to eat his Ramen in peace.
