Katsuki kept a firm hold on the halfies arm as they walked along the busy road. The people around them enjoying the festivities with food, toys and other trinkets in hand. 

Katsuki looked around at all the vibrant colors and flashing lights of the rides. The merry sound of carnival music all around him. The noise made him a bit nervous since he worked in a fairly quiet office with dank and depressing colors. 

The smells of mini donuts, cotton candy and other delicious treats flooded the air as they walked around finding interest in a little toss the ring game. 

"I'm glad you accompanied me to the festivities Katsuki, it's been absolutely thrilling to watch you look around so innocently and curious," Todoroki said, catching the blonde's attention quite easily. 

"I'm glad I came with you too," Katsuki said, looking down at his feet as they walked. "May we stop for some mini donuts?" He asked the smell catching his attention and suddenly he wanted to eat them so badly and have the sweet sugary taste on his tongue. 

Shoto observed the little omega for a moment before he let out a small sigh and nodded leading him to get some, he couldn't resist the way the blonde looked at him so pleading, a look he'd seen numerous times accompanied with choked moans and tears but it was different this time. No tears in his crimson eyes, no whimpering or clothes off. 

Katsuki ordered a regular little pail of the donuts, some powdered and some just laced in sugar and cinnamon. 

The two took a seat on the grass after getting the treat. Katsuki practically melted into the sweet taste as soon as it hit his tongue. He nibbled on the donut, his crimson eyes closing and unaware that a one curious alpha was watching him. 

"You have some of the powder on your face," Todoroki informed, snapping the blonde out of his heavenly bliss. 

"Huh" the blonde said, turning to face the alpha who was staring at him a little too hard. 

"You have" the halfie started leaning in a bit closer to the curious blonde "powder on your face" he finished his mismatched eyes seemingly flickering to the omega's lips, or maybe Katsuki was mistaken as it was dark and the only light came from the many booths and lamp lights which hardly shaun near the field.

Katsuki reached a hand up to his face wiping where he thought the powder was, keeping his eyes down at the grass before he looked back at the halfie enquiring if he'd gotten it.

"Here. Let me" shoto said, reaching his right hand up to the blonde's face and swiping his thumb over the spot the powder was. Katsuki felt his chest tighten as he caught the halfie's mesmerized gaze. He wasn't able to look away with the halfie's hand gently cupping his cheek. Everything seemed to go silent besides the sound of his heart pounding against his chest. 

It felt like something was pulling them towards each other. Katsuki could hardly breathe as his face inched closer and closer to the alpha's. He couldn't fight against it, he was captured by his bosses charm, dragged in by him. 

He could feel the halfie's hot breath hitting against his upper lip as his crimson eyes instinctively closed. It was like his heart was about to beat out of his chest and his head spun ten times faster knowing in a matter of seconds their lips would meet in a long awaited kiss. 

BOOM…

POP….

SIZZLE ….

BOOM….

Katsuki was Immediately snapped out of the trance by the sound of the fireworks exploding. 

'I can't believe we almost had our first real kiss' He thought, shrinking away from the alpha and looking up at the dark sky now being lit with vibrant colors and light. 

He ate the donuts as he watched the fireworks with a deep blush on his cheeks. He was unable to look away from the show. Each one looked more extravagant than the last, with bright reds and green. Blue, gold, purple. With streaming yellows and orange, it was all too beautiful and Katsuki was enjoying them almost too much, already having forgotten about the kiss that nearly happened. 

He was a bit sad when the scene of colors and lights ended with loud cheers and whistles of enjoyment. Shoto helped him up and held out his arm for him to take. 

Katsuki took it as it was offered, following after him back down the long not so busy walkway secretly smiling to himself as they walked back to Todoroki's car. 

"Did you enjoy the fireworks?" Shoto asked, keeping his gaze in front of them so as to watch where he was going. Katsuki nodded looking up from his feet "yes I did sir" he answered, tiredly resting his head on the halfie's shoulder without much thought and letting out a large yawn. He wanted so badly to close his eyes and fall asleep after all the things he did with Todoroki, dinner games, cuddles, the festivities and fireworks. 

He fell asleep as soon as he got settled in the passenger side of his boss's car, wrapped warmly and snug in a blanket the halfie kept in there.

"Rest well Katsuki" shoto said to the sleeping blonde, well aware that he couldn't hear him. He started the car and pulled out of the busy parking lot glancing over at the blonde a few times as he stirred, or mumbled some nonsense. 

They made it back to the suite a little past midnight, shoto having to carry Katsuki up to his room since he didn't want to wake up. Todoroki carefully rested the blonde down on the bed figuring he better dress the blonde into some pajamas. He went into the blonde's closet finding neatly hung clothes and picking out what he thought would work, a tank top and soft sweats. 

The blonde shifted a bit as the halfie took his shirt off and slipped the tank top on trying to be quiet so as not to wake him. It was a bit more of a struggle to get the sweats on but he managed and tucked the blonde into bed.

"Good night kats" he whispered, giving the blonde a light peck on the forehead and leaving him to sleep.

…

"It's been awhile shoto" 

"Indeed it has but cutting right to the point why have you called me out for lunch?" shoto asked in a deep cold tone less than glad to see his father. 

"Getting to the point already?" Enji said, sounding almost hurt by the lack of emotion or care his son had for him."I hear you've been living with your secretary, how is Bakugou?" 

Shoto frowned at the alpha, already annoyed and paranoid since he left. Katsuki had been sick all morning and was struggling to keep even water down, seeing the blonde in such a state set him on his nerves and he was one wrong word away from snapping. The only thing on his mind was the pleading and desperation in the omega's face, asking so hard for comfort. 

"Unfortunately he's not feeling the greatest, he has an upset stomach and not much of an appetite" shoto coldly answered not pleased in the slightest that he had to leave the omega's side.

"I see I wish him all the health in the world" Enji answered equally as cold. Shoto glared at the other alpha, feeling impatient and not in much of a mood to make small talk. 

"Getting to the point, I have a bit of a problem that started the moment you hired Bakugou as your secretary or is he your personal assistant now" Enji started his eyes digging into his son like daggers ripping away the defense, leaving him open and defenseless.

Shoto raised a brow remaining quite calm and collected as he listened, not liking where this was going in the slightest. "A problem? With Bakugou?" He asked, hiding exceptionally well the annoyance in his voice. 

"Yes I've gotten word that you've been fooling around with this omega for some time now, of course I can't have my son doing such foolish things especially when I'm counting on you to take over the company one day and keep the Todoroki name alive" 

Shoto felt a lump form in his throat as he nodded unsure how the word got all the way to his father. It was true he'd been told multiple times not to let his nature get the best of him yet there was something about the blonde that drew the alpha to him, like a magnet of sorts. 

"You've heard this i presume from an unreliable source" he said folding his arms neatly on the cafe table and holding up his front without even a speck of uncertainty in his eyes "but let's say this absurd rumor was true, am I not free to do what I want with whoever I chose. With all due respect sir, things I do in my free time are none of your concern or business nor is enquiring in Bakugou's personal life. But as I am to take over one day i take my job seriously and any claim against my morals and promises are nothing but foolish." He said his tone growing dark and cold returning his father's gaze with a deadly glare. He held his ground strongly with hardly a twitch of his ear but he could feel his heart drumming in his ears and his stomach drop, making him feel sick.

Enji raised a brow as he chuckled finding it funny how his son thought he could speak to him in such a way though his son was right, he had no way of knowing if this rumor he'd overheard was true but he couldn't have his son doing things that might drag the Todoroki name in the dirt "I have no need to peer into your personal life or the life of your assistant however you are still my son, this is my company and i am responsible for both, I've told you once before your first priority will be taking over the company during this time you are not to get yourself mixed up in any kind of relationships with Bakugou or anyone wether that be sexaul or romantic i will not have my son named a slut or worse" 

Shoto felt his demeanor crumple right before his father, the only thing he could do was nod but he would never except to let Katsuki go so easily nor let the truth slip out. The truth that he was using Katsuki for his body. The truth that he'd caught feelings for this omega and wouldn't let him slip through his fingers when he was so close to having him for himself. 

"I'll be going sir" shoto said standing up and feeling a bit unsteady on his feet but nevertheless he stood tall, pushing down the anger and urge to rip his father's throat out. 

He turned from his father and headed for the exit, feelings of anger boiling up inside him. His father had no right to tell him how he should live his life and what he could and couldn't do. It made him angry how his life was being controlled so strictly. 

'I will not let Katsuki go'

Once the halfie got back to the suite having calmed down and settled he found Bakugou was peacefully asleep on the CEO's bed in the CEO's room. 

Todoroki was sure to be quiet as he changed out of his suit and into a dark blue t-shirt and black jeans. 

"How was it?" 

The alpha jumped, a little startled by the blonde as he hadn't expected him to wake up so soon. "It was fine, we didn't talk about anything important, he just wanted to get acquainted" he answered turning from his closet to face the blonde who had sat up and was now staring a bit curiously at the alpha. 

The two stared at each other as if they'd only just met, strangers in a new world. "What are you doing in here?" Shoto asked, breaking the momentary silence. 

Katsuki looked down his cheeks turning a light shade of pink "after you left i found my nausea was getting worse so I wanted your scent for comfort so I grabbed your pillow and I found it made my nausea a little better" he said pausing for a minute before he looked up and glared at the alpha "don't think anything of it! I wouldn't be here if your stupid didn't make me feel better" the blonde snapped turning away from the surprised alpha. 

Shoto stood watching him a bit taken back, katsuki hardly had the gulls to snap at him of all people he knew the blonde didn't get along well with most of his coworkers due to his attitude and short temper but maybe it was the fear of getting fired or punished that kept him at bay with the halfie. 

"Well aren't you getting cocky, snapping at me like that" shoto said folding his arms across his chest as he frowned, stepping a bit closer to the blonde. "Let me remind you, this is still a business trip and I am still your boss"

Shoto grabbed the blonde by both arms and pushed him down onto the mattress. He loved the way the blonde looked up at him, his foxes ears pointed and alert as the look of surprise washed over his features. 
 

"Sorry sir" Katsuki immediately apologized, turning his head away from the halfie, the sudden rough moment triggering his nausea and causing him to let out a stressed scent, the alpha immediately responding to it and got off the omega. 

"Are you okay?" Shoto asked the sudden shift in the omega's scent causing him to feel irritated and worried. 

Katsuki nodded slowly, sitting back up and breathing rhythmically to try and settle his upset stomach "I'm fine it's nothing just caught a stomach bug" he said, it felt like he was swallowing golf balls that burned his throat though each breath helped ease the sick feeling swirling inside him.

Shoto watched him trying to decide what he should do. "As soon as we get back i want you to see a doctor" he sternly said as his brows furrowed, he found the omegas Illness quite odd and worrisome.

Katsuki reluctantly agreed, feeling a bit uneasy. He didn't want to bother his doctor when it was nothing more than the flu or if not the flu then it was some other non life threatening sickness definitely nothing to go to the doctor about. 

"Let me make some herbal tea, it might help ease your stomach" shoto said, his almost angry demeanor falling before he left his room and shut the door. He didn't mind that the omega had slept in his bed. In fact it almost excited him knowing he'd be sleeping in the sweet scent of the omega later on. 

He returned some time later holding the warm cup of tea as promised, carefully handing the blonde the drink. "Careful it's hot" 

Katsuki responded with a small hum, taking the tea and carefully sipping it. He did feel better after a few swallows. Maybe it was the tea but being cared for by the usually cold and seemingly heartless CEO felt good, like he was important and wanted. 

"Shoto" Katsuki started, looking up at the halfie with curiosity in his eyes. "May I stay with you tonight?" He innocently asked. He wanted to be surrounded by the alpha's scent and found that it helped his nausea. The thought of having the alpha's strong arms around him, keeping him safe and warm all night made him feel so good that he couldn't resist asking even if he wasn't allowed to. 

Shoto stared at him thinking about it and the reason the omega asked, 'since when does he want anything to do with me' he asked himself as he nodded "yes, I don't mind" he replied sitting on the foot of the bed.

"Thank you sir" Katsuki muttered, embarrassment washing over him. 'What the hell is wrong with me?' he thought, looking down at his own reflection in his tea staring back up at him. 

'This is gonna be a long night'
