Maddie POV

Once Maria showed up Valdez took mine and her hand.

"You might wanna close your eyes." She told me.

"Why?" I asked.

"Have you ever been drunk?" She asked.

"I'm 18. It's not legal for me to drink here in the States." I said.

"Well it feels like you're drunk. And you can see some weird stuff while you're teleporting through time and space."

"Wait, what-?" I didn't get an answer as she pressed a button on her necklace and suddenly everything around me just turned into a bunch of pink, purple, dark blue, turqouise, yellow, and black splotches.

You could make out a bunch of shapes in the spots. Occasionally you would see something from a world. I'm not sure if the world was always earth or if it was earth but from a bunch of different universes.

There was one where people walked upside down. But the whole world wasn't upside down. And they wouldn't walk on their hands like a handstand. Their legs were on top of their heads. It was confusing.

I also saw a dog with a human mouth. And it spoke to me. But the humans apparently didn't see me and were giving the dog strange looks.

There was also one where the humans looked like pterodactyls. But, like, scales and wings and beaks and stuff like that on a human body. You could clearly tell that they were pterodactyls though.

After a while I felt like throwing up, I was dizzy, and I could barely stand. I couldn't even tell if there was ground for me to stand on.

After another minute or so I felt my face touch something rough and bumpy. It was only after the world stopped spinning that I realized it was the ground. The ground of a world I didn't recognize.

Valdez POV

The poor girl couldn't even open her eyes for a few seconds. She was lying face down on the ground in front of the castle. And when she finally opened her eyes you could basically see her brains all scrambled up inside her head.

"What'd you see?" I asked.

She mumbled a few things, some of which I couldn't understand, but I know I heard her mumble "I like colors." Before passing out.

"Poor girl." Maria said.

"I warned her."

Maria and I each grabbed an arm and we started dragging her to the small building we use for a hospital.

3rd POV

Izzy and Queen Cheryl sat inside of the Queen's room, with Izzy playing with the Queen's hair.

"I fear something bad is going to happen soon." The Queen sighed.

"Have you been getting visions again...?" Izzy asked.

There was a few minutes of silence before Queen Cheryl sighed. "No, but I probably will soon. I can just feel that something bad will happen."

"You have such nice hair..." Izzy said, beginning to braid the Queen's hair.

"Thank you." Cheryl smiled.

Izzy and Cheryl both jumped when one of the guards came bursting through the door. "The Shadow Cloak!" He gasped. "Its gone!"

"Has the king been informed of this? Do you know who took it?" Cheryl asked.

The guard nodded. "Another guard went to tell him and we don't know who took it, it could be anyone in the castle."

Cheryl's face grew pale as the guard kept speaking, trying to explain what happened.

"Okay! The queen will figure out what to do later but for now why don't you go and look for it?" Izzy ushered the guard out of the room.

After the guard left Izzy turned back to the queen. "I knew it." Cheryl whispered.

"You'll figure something out." Izzy said

Maddie POV

I woke up in a weird room. Where was I? What happened? Why do I feel like I'm gonna-

Everything in my stomach decided to exit though the entrance.

Some of the people in the room looked at me and I started to feel extremely dizzy. I didn't recognize any of these people. Having everyone's eyes on me made me feel uncomfortable and a little nervous and that mixed with the nauseous feeling made me feel even worse.

What was I doing here?

A bunch more questions flooded my thoughts, eventually giving me a headache so I layed down and covered my head with the blanket so that hopefully people wouldn't keep staring.

After what felt like a few minutes my headache was gone which I was thankful for but someone came over to the bed I was laying on and yanked the blanket off of me.

"Wake up sleeping beauty." A new voice said.

I opened my eyes and looked at the person.

She looked normal enough. Brown hair that reached her waist and went everywhere and brown eyes, but when I looked at the top of her head I noticed two silver wolf ears sticking out from the top of her head. Paying slightly more attention she noticed the silver tail swaying from side to side.

I was to tired to be surprised though.

I buried my face in the pillow and tried to go back to sleep but she dragged me off of the bed.

"What?" I groaned.

"You've spent five hours sleeping. You gotta get up now." She said.

"What?!" I practically yelled.

The girl nodded and started walking off and so I got up and followed her.

"We're gonna get you something to eat or drink before you start training." The wolf girl said.

"So uh. Why do you have a wolf tail and ears?" I asked.

"Huh? Oh, uh. I'm a hybrid that was saved from a different universe. In my old universe hybrids like me were used as slaves or soldiers. Wolf hybrids were usually soldiers or used for hunting. I was used as a slave unfortunately. Sometimes if you were lucky enough you'd find someone who wouldn't treat you like something that's just to carry out your every wish until they die and you throw them out like trash... I wasn't lucky enough..." she said.

"That's horrible!" I said.

She nodded and kept talking. "I only lasted three weeks before I became sick and got thrown out. But despite having to fend for myself as I was sick for a few weeks I finally found a pack of other wolf hybrids who were nice enough to let me in their pack. I was still at the bottom of the food chain but I still got better care than I was before. After a couple months I was doing a lot better and went off to hunt for the pack along with a few more hybrids but we accidentally got split up and before I could find the others I was found by some humans who trapped me and auctioned me off. Luckily I got saved and brought here by Annabeth. We're best friends now. I might be a bit clingy though." She said.

"Oh... so uh, I'm Maddie." I told her.

"Oh, I'm Wolfie." She smiled.

"So what do you do here?" I asked.

"Hybrids don't have powers but that's fine because we can work here. We usually just show people around and make them feel welcome. Everyone is nice to us and we get fed and paid for work and stuff. We get treated like human beings here and we're happy. There's lots of stuff to do." She said as she lead me over to a building.

We walked around the side. The back was pure widows, letting you see the inside. There were a bunch of hybrids preparing whatever the food that was on the counter was and having fun. They were talking and laughing as they cooked.

We got to the front of the building and she opened the door for me. Inside it was basically one long counter filled with plates with some sort of weird looking food and there were a couple of fridges filled with bottles.

The food looked like a golden brown Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and the drink looked like a plain old water bottle.

"Grab one." Wolfie said.

"Uh... it looks... weird?" I said.

Wolfie laughed. "Look." She walked over and grabbed a water bottle. "Pepsi." She said.

The water bottle morphed into a bottle of Pepsi. "How does that work?" I asked.

"It's a special food and drink that is only grown here, it morphs into the food or drink you want while still giving you the nutrients in it instead of random junk. Like if you want fast food or something it'll still taste like fast food but it'll be healthy. Oh and here." She tossed me a water bottle.

"So I can drink Dr. Pepper as much as I want?" I asked.

"Yup. It's completely healthy and it'll give you a huge boost of energy which you're gonna need for training later." Wolfie smiled.

She walked over to the counter and gave a few silver coins to the rabbit hybrid working with what I guess is their versoin

The hybrid slid the coins into a medium-sized slot in the counter. A faint clinck was heard from the coins hitting each other. The two looked at each other and said goodbye and thank you and stuff like that before Wolfie came back over.

"Eat and then we'll get you to start training."

Hey hey. I'm back. I honestly wasn't sure if I was gonna continue this but I mean, okay. Anyways.
