Chapter 9

Luna's eyes opened as she looked around her surroundings. Her body shook and felt like she was moving yet she didn't feel sick. She jumped up and cheered, finally cured of her motion sickness. She smiled and shook Wendy's hand furiously as a thank you.

Wendy blushed and said, "You're Welcome."

Natsu on the other hand was trying to talk Lucy into summoning one of her celestial spirits and see if he gets motion sickness again. Kat and Luna were currently arguing on something that doesn't matter.

"We don't know how to stop it," said Gray. "As you can see, there's nothing in this room to stop it. Could Richard possibly be lying?"

"I don't think that Richard will lie to us," defended Jura.

"Stop it or not," Carla stated. "Don't you find something even weirder? There's no cockpit, no one's in the king's room, and Brain has been defeated and yet Nirvana is still moving!"

"Don't tell me it's on auto-pilot! That means its destination is set!" Gray yelled.

"Our...guild..."

"When I get my hands on that guy-!" Luna yelled as she ran down the building along with the Fairy Tail members and Jura. Kat sighed as she held onto Luna's shirt, trying not to fall down.

After Richard had informed them about a man and how they have to defeat them, Luna and the others immediately followed his instructions and ran down under the king's room. Wendy, however, left. A huge door came into view as Natsu angrily opened it, yelling, "Come out you sleeping bastard!"

Only after a few seconds he opened it, a white light blinded them all.

"Eh?!"

"It's a trap!"

Immediately after Jura said that, an ear-piercing explosion sounded.

Luna coughed as she looked around. Kat laid on her stomach while Happy on her head. Gray and Lucy laid next to Natsu. "Well," she coughed. "I can't even tell if we're even alive. Probably are." Her hair was covered in dirt and dust and new scratches replaced the old ones.

"Aye..." Happy and Kat said.

"What's going on...?" Lucy questioned as she tried to stand up. "We saw that explosion right on front of our eyes." Her head hit what seemed to be the ceiling.

"We've been buried!" Gray exclaimed.

"No...that's not it...it's..."

Natsu broke through with only his head making the others wonder how hard his really is. Luna however, tried it for herself and broke through with a throbbing head. "Ow..."

They watched in shock as Jura struggled to breath. His arms spreading out and in front of him laid a huge rock shield. Sweat trickled down his bald head.

"Old man!" Gray and Natsu yelled.

"Jura!"

Lucy covered her mouth using her hands. "You saved us."

"You young people are so lively," he said. "I'm glad you're safe..." He started to fall and landed lightly on his back with a soft thud.

"Jura!"

"What should we do?" Lucy asked. "His wounds are terrible..."

"You better not die on me old man!" Natsu yelled.

"Dear me," said a voice. "Brain, that fool...he mustered all the magic power he had left..."

"Who's there!" Gray yelled.

"And still failed to eliminate only a single enemy! He brings shame to the six."

"There!" Happy and Kat said at the same time.

"They have really gotta stop doing that," muttered Luna.

"Ah, well," said the stick. "As long as Midnight remains, we will not be defeat. I supposed I shall deal with the rest of you myself."

"The stick is talking!" Luna and Happy yelled. Luna sighed. Kat and I really need to step up our game to be talking as the same time as a blue cat, she thought.

That's the staff Brain was holding," said Gray,

"What's going on here!" Lucy yelled.

Natsu suddenly grabbed the thing and whacked it on the floor multiple times on the concrete floor. "Hey!" Lucy yelled. "You don't know where that thing's been!"

"Stop this city, you stupid stick." Natsu stopped for a second for it to talk.

"I am the seventh of the Oracion Seis," it said. "I have waken from my slumber to eliminate y-"

Natsu grabbed it again and hit it on the floor again. He appears to have an agitated look on his face. "I said stop it!" It yelled angrily.

"The seventh of a group of six?" Lucy said nervously. Luna sighed as Lucy trembled.

"Wait," said Gray. Luna had almost forgotten about him. "Are we just accepting the fact that it's a talking staff?" He out his hands in his pockets, his shirt somehow disappeared.

"It's tough to know where to start about this one..." Happy mumbled.

"Aye." Kat turned into her tiger forming her usual pink POOF.Before Luna could even ask what she was doing, Kat pounced at the thing, scaring the crap outta Natsu. He let go of it and Kat bit the staff, not letting go one bit.

At first, it moved a little only to have some of the wood crack off. "This wood is precious here! I already hate cats so get away from me you filthy animal!"

Luna laughed so hard that she had to hold her stomach. Happy, Gray, and Natsu were snickering while Lucy just sweat-dropped, three wavy purple lines under her eyes.

Kat grunted and but down harder onto the wood. She rolled her eyes like it was her millionth time doing it. The feathers on top of its head...or skull, tickled Kat's pink nose. She sneezed, making it fall out.

"Ignorant brats!" It yelled. It flew towards the opening where a huge crater created by the explosion. Kat rubbed her nose with her paw and turned back into an exceed.

"Stupid stick..." She mumbled under her breath.

"Their guild will be coming into view any moment now..." It said aloud like it was talking to them. "I should at least clean out this trash before we arrive."

"You mean Cait Shelter?" Lucy yelled.

"Indeed." Luna bet that if it had arms, it would either fold it or out it behind his back. "Crushing that guild is the vital starting point."

It's eyes glowed and the mouth opened with an eerie glow emitting from it. It spoke in a different voice that sounded male.

"Nirvana was created many years ago, by a race who wished to out an end to war. The Nirvit. However, Nirvana turned out to be far more dangerous than they had imagined. As such, they sealed away the magic they had death with their own hands. Fearing the evil uses to which it could be put, they continued to watch over the seal over the decades and centuries."

Everyone stared intently at it.

"A guild made entirely of descendants of the Nirvit race...that is Cait Shelter. They posses the power to seal Nirvana away once more. As such, they must be destroyed."

"NGAAH!" Natsu yelped as the staff suddenly it Natsu on the face with its head. He fell on his back as Gray stared in amusement.

"That's what you get, y-" He didn't get to finish his sentence as the staff also hit him. "GUAHH!!"

Luna laughed hard when it hit Kat on the head. Kat cursed as she rubbed her head with her paw. She stopped laughing when it also hit Luna but she immediately blocked it by crossing her arms in an X formation. It then went under her making her cover her skirt and trip her. "KYAHH!"

Kat laughed. "You said, 'Kyahh'! That's a first!" Luna puffed her cheeks and crossed her arms.

"Guys!" Lucy yelled. She noticed something behind her. She turned around to see the staff behind her looking under her skirt.

"AAAAAAGHHH!" She screamed. She quickly pulled the hem of her skirt down. "Pervert!" She attempted a punch but the staff laughed and easily dodged.

An it hit Lucy, it said, "Seeing the underwear of a child like you is hardly going to excite me!"

"How horrible!" She dramatically fell down and squished Happy. The blue exceed cried out and managed to claw his way out.

"You're heavy, Lucy!"

"Will you stop saying that you stupid cat!"

"This guy..." Gray said as he stood up and dusted his...pants.

"He's just a stupid stick!" Natsu yelled.

"Hmm..." The staff looked like he was in deep thought. "The six..." It's skull face became scrunched up. "Have fallen! Oh no!! This is not good!!"

Luna didn't think it was possible, but sweat began collecting on its forehead. "Now HE will arrive!"

"Huh?" said Gray. "What's the big deal?"

"Brain has another personality you see. There is the face he shows the world, which loves knowledge and goes by the code name of 'Brain' and another hidden face which loves destruction and goes by the code name of 'Zero'."

"Zero!" Happy and Kat said at the same time. Really, Luna thought. She scratched her chin as the two looked at each other confusingly.

"Due to the immensity and danger that his power entrails," continued the stupid stick. "Brain himself sealed this personality away through six keys."

"And those keys are the Oracion Seis," said Gray, putting the puzzle pieces together.

Wavy, purple lines surrounded it. "Due to the nature of the living link magic, when the six 'demons' fall, the personality of Zero will rise once more." It's voice quivered. The wood that is its body trembled.

A shadow made its way towards the mages, making the staff shake even more. In a movement faster than even Racer, it bowed and hit its skull onto the concrete floor yelling, "W-Welcome back, Master Zero!"

"'Master'!?" Lucy exclaimed.

"Ah, Klodoa! Things certainly seem to have become rather interesting. Was even the almighty Midnight eliminated?"

"Yes, sir!! My...deepest apologies!" The staff that Luna figured was named Klodoa shook even more with each step the man that is Zero took.

"At any rate," he said. "This certainly is a refreshing feeling. This body...this voice...this magic power...it's all so nostalgic. I will take care of the rest. Stand back, Klodoa."

Dark, purple-like magic surrounded him and his body.

Happy clenched his teeth as he shook.

"Young brats..." He took a step forward, his cloak gone and his eyes pitch black and purple. "You would appear to have done quite some damage to my guild. As Master, I will have to take the proper retaliatory action."

Lucy's eyes bulged. "This is Zero?!"

"Getting pumped are you, Natsu?" Gray asked on edge. He smirked and to Luna's and Kat's luck, he didn't take his pants off.

"I've never felt magic this disgusting before..." Natsu said.

"Yes..." said Zero. "I think the man who was rude enough to injure my body...should be the first one to go!"

"You asshole! Yore gonna attack a man who is down!?" Gray yelled as he summoned ice.

"It matters little whether he is down or otherwise." Dark magic started swirling around his clenched fist. "As long as he has a physical form, destroying him is worth enjoying!" It shot towards the beaten Jura.

"Shield!!" Gray formed a gigantic ice shield protectively around him and Jura. Luna could've sworn the magic became more ghost-like than actual dark magic. It cracked his shield like it was nothing. "My shield! Shit!" It broke through and hit Gray as it's main target instead of Jura whom is still out cold.

Natsu charged towards him, his face scrunched up and his fist on fire. Zero looked like he was enjoying this and suddenly turned around a full 360° making Luna cringe. He hit Natsu square in the forehead and he flew back with such force that the impact broke the wall.

Luna and Kat charged. "Water Dragon's Special Attack: Tsunami of Destruction!" A huge wave of water appeared out of nowhere behind her and moved towards Zero. An occasional celestial metal adding more power to attack and disappearing back into the water.

To Luna's suprise, the attack split into two when it was about to hit Zero. The floor disappeared at the water's wake and destroyed the whole section behind him. Luna clenched her teeth.

Kat pounced in her tiger form, she was fast enough to be a blur of black and white but that wasn't enough. Zero hit her on the stomach with nothing but physical strength. Kat coughed up some blood before falling unconscious.

"Kat!" She sprinted up at him until she was only an inch from him, her fist with celestial and water magic. He looked up at the ceiling with a smirk on his face.

Luna growled and also looked up. He snapped his fingers and in an instant, the ceiling started to crack. Small crumbs falling down on her hair. Before she could even back away, it snapped and all the rock and debris fell onto her with a huge BOOM and CRACK, crushing her small body.

"No..." Lucy's body trembled as Happy stood behind her leg also shaking nervously. Fear splattered across their faces. Zero looked at her, the same smirk on his face. He raised his hand and the ground below them gave out and exploded with ghosts and ghouls with permanent frowns on their faces.

The two was hit and flung up. They landed flat on their backs and slipped into consciousness.

"A-As impressive as ever, Master Zero!!" Klodoa congratulated nervously. "To eliminate these irritating brats with so little effort! Absolutely splendid!"

"You fools are not done just yet." Zero mumbled. He started to laugh manically, power surrounding his body.
