The Tower of Heaven
Chapter 2
Luna awoke when she was rudely pushed out of the sack. Her breathing was slowing down and her arm was pleading for attention.
"How about this one, boss?" Asked the same man whom hurt her. "She can use magic and look-" he pulled up her right arm and pointed to her bracelets. "Magic power limiters."
The man next it him grunted. With Luna's vision now, she could only see what his face looks like. A smirk was plastered on his ugly face and his blond hair was spiky and long. "Why is she beaten up?"
"W-well," he stuttered. "The brat tried to hurt me with her magic." He forced a smile.
His smirk was replaced with a frown. "Very well, but she will have to be treated before she could work for us with her magic power." He walked away without even glancing at her.
The man bowed before grabbing her right arm and dragging her. Luna screamed before she was slapped. "Shut up."
She was quiet the whole way while looking curiously around the room. Strange metal doors were placed on rock-like walls and bars were everywhere and were filled with people like they were animals.
Many of the people were either kids or the elderly and adults. Some of them were bruised while others were lucky because they don't even look injured.
The man stopped in to a halt in front of a cell with some kids and an old man inside. He opened the cell but cursed when he dropped a pair of keys. He threw her in there just when he opened the door and closed it just as fast. Luna screamed once more when she landed on her broken left arm.
A girl that was around ten or eleven quickly ran up to her. She had scarlet red hair that ended just above her shoulders and kind brown eyes. Another girl and three more boys rushed to her aid while the old man was still sleeping.
"Watch for that kid," said the man as he began walking away with a smirk. "She's a troublesome one." The sentence echoed down the hallway as the last of his figure disappeared.
Luna coughed as the girl held her up gently while the others looked at her curiously.
"What did they do to her!" Yelled the scarlet-haired girl as she sadly looked at Luna. She forced a smile at the older girl.
The boy with blue hair with a tattoo on his eye put an encouraging hand on her shoulder while the other girl was looking at the damages. The two other boys went to wake up the old man.
"Are you okay?" Asked the scarlet-haired girl.
Luna shook her head in response and pointed to her left arm. "Broken," she coughed. "Mind giving me water?"
The blue-haired boy ran to get water while the scarlet-haired girl asked her some questions. "How old are you?"
Luna raised her hand with her five fingers up.
"That young and this is what they did to you!"
"Now, now, Erza," said the girl that resembles a cat. "Calm down or we'll get in trouble."
Erza nodded and her rage came down just a little. "You're right Millianna."
"I have the water," said the blue-haired boy. He handed Luna the water which she gulped down greedily. She could feel the water providing her energy unlike when she drank her own magic water. With the last of her water, she poured it onto her broken arm.
"What're you doing?" Asked the blue-haired boy as he looked at her as if she was crazy which she was.
"Fixing my broken arm," said Luna as if it was the most obvious answer ever.
"How do you do tha-" Erza was cut off when the two boys came back with the old man.
He had grayish white hair like that Brain guy but his hair is a wee bit longer. He was also shirtless with an odd sign on his back. He smiled kindly at Luna. "Why, hello there."
"Hi," she said as she tried to move her left arm a little. "Names Luna."
Erza smiled as she stood up. Her gaze still fixed on her left arm. "My name's Erza."
Millianna smiled and took her arms into Erza's. "Meow! My name's Millianna!" She waved at her.
"Jellal." The blue-hair boy said as he took out his hand. Luna shook it for only a few seconds before pulling back.
"Yo! Name's Wally!" Said a boy that somewhat reminded her if a block. Or was it blocks?
"My name's Shô," he said as he ruffled her hair.
Luna looked expectedly at the old man whom Erza said was named Rob. He still smiled, not noticing that Luna was staring at his back with the mark.
"What's that mark on your back, Rob?" She pointed to the red mark.
"Oh," said Millianna. "That's a guild mark Rob said belonged to Fairy Tail! He said that the mages are really strong and friendly!"
"Pipe down, down there!" The guard yelled as he hit the bars with his weapon.
Luna, not liking being told to shut up, yelled back. "How about you put a pipe down your throat so we don't have to hear your screeching all the damn time!"
Everyone looked stunned for a second, even Rob stopped smiling.
The man growled but took deep breaths. "You better watch your mouth unless you want to die because of it. Consider it a warning, kid." He glared at her with so much hatred that even the evil witch would be proud. He walked away muttering things about kids and stupid people.
"Wow," said Jellal as he stared at her. "You're really brave."
"Nah," said Simon. "That was more of a death wish. Nice job." He smiled.
"Meow! No one's ever talked to a guard like that!" Millianna yelled more quietly.
Fairy Tail, Luna thought. She thinks she heard it somewhere. Was it when seven whole towns were destroyed or when two guilds were complaining?
Erza nodded. "Now, about your left arm..." She kneeled down in front of her and gently picked the arm up. "It looks...just about healed!"
"What did I tell ya!" Luna said with a goofy grin.
They all laughed.
"What're we laughing for?" Wally asked.

The last few weeks there was like a living hell! Luna was forced or work twelve hours a day and was shocked and zapped and even bitten by odd dogs multiple times because of her mouth, her attitude and her left arm. Her magic power was now growing abnormally and she could feel it. She felt sicker and sicker everyday.
One day, Jellal and the others decided that they've had enough. They wanted to escape and be free. Luna couldn't blame them. They were here for months maybe even years while she was only here for a few weeks.
Luna coughed when the guards pushed them inside their usual cell for them to sleep for the night. "Idiots! Next time I'll surely kick your sorry ass!" She yelled at the top of her lungs.
The men glared at her and smacked her on the head. "See ya later kid," one said. "Tomorrow might be the last day of your life seeing how sick you are!" He laughed along with the others.
Luna punched the nearest thing that she could which happened to the bars. She only made a dent. She then shook her right hand back and forth saying, "Ow, ow, ow, ow..."
Erza and the others laughed when she began yelling insults to the air. Poor air...
"Luna!" Erza yelled while motioning her to come forth with her hand. "Let me check your temperature!"
After two minutes, Luna finally nodded and sat down right in front of her and Millianna. Erza placed her hand on her forehead but quickly pulled it back.
"Luna..." She said as she glanced at Rob. "You're head is really burning."
Luna tilted her head. "But I don't feel sick."
Rob walked over and sat down in front of them. The boys were planning something in the back of the cell. "Luna," he said in a caring voice. "Can you summon at least a water bubble without the celestial glitter?"
Luna opened the palm of her left hand which healed fully when she drank water a few days ago. The usual dangling of her three magic limiters calmed her just a little.
She concentrated and thought about the sea and the salty breeze and the legendary celestial world in which she wished she could visit. Then, on her palm sparked the usual water with celestial glitter. But there was something else inside it. Luna squinted her eyes and observed the orb. A buzzing sound sounded in the water.
"Do you hear that, too?" Millianna asked while she pulled out her arm to try and touch it.
Erza, Rob, and Luna nodded. But when Erza squinted her eyes closer to it, she yelled, "Millianna, stop!"
Millianna obeyed just when her fingertip almost touched it. "What wrong Erza?"
Rob nodded towards Erza. Luna looked confused.
"There is somehow lightning in that," Rob said as he studied it. "I have never heard of this kind of thing happening before, though. You should rest Luna. You look tired for just thinking."
Erza nodded while Millianna looked terrified. She was almost electrocuted into a kitty cat litter.
Just when Luna was about to extinguish the magic, it exploded. Water flooded the cell for a few seconds before it disappeared. There was a sound of ringing in her ears and her head felt like it was filled with air and expanding. She screamed as a high-pitched sound entered her delicate ears.
"What's going on in there!" Yelled a guard. "There shouldn't be any magic going on in there or anywhere unless granted permission!"
"Nothing!" Jellal yelled. "It must be the pipes! You should come in here to check it out!"
Rob and the girls looked at the smirking Jellal and the boys who weren't fazed at what just happened. Luna had passed out.
The familiar sound of a key unlocking the cell made them snap their heads towards the man. He was big and bulky with a shaved head, deep tanned skin, and was somehow wearing a Rune Knights suit. "What happened in here?" He asked while raising an eyebrow. His voice was deep and rough, like the sound of a guard dog growling towards a criminal.
Erza and Millianna instinctively sat in front of Luna. "N-nothing happened," Erza replied.
"Actually," Jellal said. Erza snapped her head towards him. "The pipes are over there, sir. I think that you should check it out."
He grunted and frowned but walked over to the pipe without another word. A huge hole was in the brick wall that was the pipes. "Stupid idiots with them and their stupid issues." He stuck his head inside the hole. "Where is it, brat?"
"Oh, it's all the way inside the wall, sir!" Shô said as he glanced at Jellal.
"What's going on, Jellal?" Erza whispered. "What are you planning? Did you hurt Luna?"
He smiled. "Me and the boys were figuring a plan to break outta here and no, why would you ever think that we would hurt Luna?" He frowned making Erza feel guilty.
"And how are we going to get out of here?"
He grinned this time. "Right...Now!" He and the boys pushed the guy inside making him yell insults and death threats at them. They then pushed over a nearby table in which they found a few days ago outside. How they hid it, the girls didn't know.
Luckily, the table was big enough to cover up the hole. "Run!" Jellal yelled. "Shô! Simon! Can you pick Luna up? And Wally! I need your help! C'mon!"
"Stupid! Insolent brats!" The muffled voice of the man inside the hole yelled.
Erza and Millianna had no choice but to follow; they didn't realize that Rob didn't follow until they were far away from the cell. The other people were either still sleeping from the other cells or were awake and yelling for them to help them get out.
Wally and Jellal were leading, fighting off any guards while Simon was carrying Luna and Shô was helping Erza and Millianna to catch up.
They stopped at their tracks when they realized that they were trapped and cornered. They were inside a room that had only one door which was the one they entered in. Dozens of guards walked inside with smirks on their faces and their minds happily thinking of punishment for anyone who didn't follow orders.
