Chapter 6

Finally it was time for his first day at UA. Getting up just as the sun was rising wasn't hard with the excitement tuning through his veins and the tug of another nearby key. Izuku didn't take long to get dressed in an old t-shirt and shorts, leaving a note for his his mum in case she got up before he got home. Taking the rest of his keys as well as a set of house keys and his phone. After slipping on his shoes he left and headed towards the source of the tug.

It didn't take too long to track down, the problem was that it seemed the key was on someone. The guy the key looked to be attached too was skinny, scarily so, messy blond hair and a tacky yellow suit. Overall the guy looked kind of sketchy, bit Izuku needed to get the key. "Excuse me sir."

The blond looked surprised that he was being talked to. "Have you seen a key around here? Either silver or gold? Kinda looks fancy?"

The man looked to be contemplating. "Would this key you're looking for belong to you?" The man asked after a moment.

"Well not really. They belong to the spirit world but my quirk allows me to use the keys to summon the spirits they belong to." Izuku tried to explain as simply as he could.

"Well I did happen to find a key but I would feel more comfortable if I brought it to the police. I know one of the detectives there." The man ended up coughing a little but Izuku was busy looking at the time on his phone.

"Well if we're quick I should have just enough time to get back and change before school." Putting his phone away he looked up at the man who in turn began leading the way.

A little more than five minutes later they were at the station talking to a man in a brown trench coat. "Ah Midoriya, it's been a while."

"You know this boy Tsukachi?" The man couched in surprise.

"Yeah, agave everyone a scare a couple years ago when he went missing for two months. Turns out he has a rather peculiar quirk." The detective smiled at Izuku he turned away a little embarrassed when he remembered the incident.

"Well I found this key earlier today and he came up to me asking about it. I wasn't too sure if he was telling the truth or not so we came here." The man pulled out a thin golden key and Izuku spotted the design on the handle.

"Sagittarius." He couldn't help himself saying the spirit's name.

"Yup, that's one of the keys Midoriya uses with his quirk." The detective explained parking the key from the man and handing it over.

"Is it okay if I go now? I need to get back home and get ready for school."

The detective dismissed him and Izuku jogged home to find his mother awake and cooking breakfast. "There's still a couple minutes till it's done." He nodded and went to take a quick shower before changing into the UA uniform, struggling with his tie giving up when it was close enough. Breakfast was on the table waiting when he returned. There wasn't much time for him savour the food since he  wanted to be early on the first day of school.

"Have a good day, I love you." His mum caught him in a hug just as he was putting his shoes on.

"I love you too. I'll see you tonight." he returned the hug before double checking he had everything  and heading off.

The train station was crowded but he didn't recognise anyone nor did he see any UA uniforms till he got much closer to the school. After exiting the station it was like an ocean of UA uniforms all heading in the same direction. The amount of people was almost overwhelming, it was almost unbelievable how many people went to this school.

Finding his classroom was a little easier than he thought it was. Already he could hear some shouting and sighed, realising what it meant. He steeled himself and opened the door to find Bakugo talking down to the guy that had been rude to him at the exam. Of course both of them were going to be in this class. They both turned to look at him at almost the same time and a tense moment was shared between the three of them before the rude guy began to approach.

"I am Iida Tenya from Somei Junior High. I wanted to apologise for my words to you during the exam. You were able to see through the exam and are therefore better than me. I hope you can forgive me." Iida bowed at 90 degrees and apologised.

"Ah that's okay. I didn't actually see through it, I just acted without thinking." It looked like Iida wanted to say more but they were interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Izuku! I was so excited, I barely slept last night." Ochako had insisted that they were close enough to use first names after all the times they hung out since the exams.

"If you're just here to make friends then you can leave."

Behind Ochako a man in a yellow sleeping bag looked up at them from his place on the floor and he choked upon realising who the man was. "Eraserhead."

"Problem child." The underground hero returned. "We're going to be doing a quirk assessment. Change into your PE gear and meet me outside in 10." He passed out the uniforms that had been hidden in the sleeping bag to everyone. It was rather surreal seeing Eraserhead again after so long especially since he saw the detective just earlier. Izuku was only just able to get his uniform on and get onto the field before time ran out, something he was thankful for when Eraserhead glared daggers at those who had arrived late.

"Midoriya, what was the distance of your longest throw in middle school." A ball was gently tossed over to him as he thought.

"About 50 metres I guess."

"Now try using your quirk. As long as you don't leave that circle, you're free to do as you please." The stare he was sent made him feel that the hero would have his head if he even so much as asked a spirit to just carry the ball for him, not that he would in the first place. Looking down at the keys he had, he realised that the best one for the task would be Sagittarius, but he hadn't made a contract yet. It was worth a shot.

"I call upon thee in the world of the celestial spirits, I beckon you to my side at once. Pass through the gate. Open gate of the Archer, Sagittarius." The key glowed gold and a human in a horse costume carrying a bow appeared. "Um hi, I'm Izuku Midoriya. I was wondering if you could lend me your strength during this test and then we can discuss a contract?"

"Of course my liege. The other spirits you have contract with speak highly of you so I shall make an exception." The horse man-spirit bowed.

"Star Dress, Sagittarius form." His body glowed a familiar gold before fading out to reveal Izuku wearing a light green twin tailed coat with gold trimming, a high collar, and the cuffs fanning out a little. This was paired with matching green and gold three-quarter pants that met black and gold boots. An ornate gold and black bow appeared in his hand feeling light and easy to use with the knowledge to use it that came with the transformation. With the ball in his right hand and the bow in his left, he threw the ball as high and far as he could before readying the bow to strike as an arrow appeared in his hand. Just as the ball's arch began to dip, Izuku fired the arrow at the ball, limiting the power so as to not damage the ball. The plan worked and the ball flew just over eight hundred meters. Theoretically he could have fired another arrow but he was not yet comfortable with these new powers. The transformation fell and he smiled at the spirit  "Thank you Sagittarius."

Stepping out of the circle he began to talk about the contract with Sagittarius, missing out on the drama his new classmates where facing with Eraserhead. It was lucky that the contract was finished up and Sagittarius faded just as the other test were beginning. The first test was the 50 meter dash where he finished in about seven seconds even though he didn't have any spirits that could help him finish quicker. Next was the grip strength and by using Leo's Star Dress he was able to get up 75kgs, however it was not enough to take the top spot. That went to a boy with multiple arms who was able to get up to 540kgs. He stayed in Leo's suit for the next tests, the standing long jump and was able to clear a meter and a half, the repeated side step though he didn't get first, and the sit ups where he was one of the last few going. The long distance run he had changed back and run with out using his spirit's, feeling his strength waning. Lastly, for him, was the seated toe-touches and Izuku found that he was one of the few that could get right down. It looked like Leo was right emphasise flexibility and strength.

With the test results in, Izuku found himself in 12th place and rather proud. Sure it wasn't the top five, not even the top ten, but it was still better than last place. Not to mention there were some really powerful quirks in the class. Apparently while he had been talking to Sagittarius Eraser head had threatened to expel who ever came in last place. That fell on Mineta, a boy only about a meter tall with dark purple orbs for hair.

"While I won't expel you now since you do have a little potential, your behaviour and attitude are appalling.  If you don't clean up your act I will be expelling you." The underground warned the short boy.

As the class began heading back to the classroom he heard whispers that this Mineta had been a pervert during the tests, making inappropriate comments and staring at the girls. Izuku had looked around for Of back and found her talking to one of the other girls and decided to leave it be, for now.
