[19] Harvey: "You Have To Seduce Him."

Gideon was frozen underneath me.

The first thing I registered besides the plump feel of his velvety lips against my own, was the fact that there was a sudden hush in the cafeteria. That surprised me to some extent because while we hadn't been overly boisterous with our displays of affection, we had pretended to be quite the physical couple by touching each other all the time in public.

Kissing wasn't really that big of a deal, I'd thought, but it looked like it was.

"Mm," The groan that pushed past my lips as I opened my mouth and closed it against his was of pure need. Immediately, all thoughts about everything except his lips flew out of my mind. I couldn't focus on anything else even if I tried, and the ironic fact was, I didn't want to.

I wanted this.

My hands went up and wrapped themselves around his neck as I bent lower, putting myself at an angle that's more accessible. Gideon recovered from his momentary paralysis and put a hand against my side, trying to respond as he moved his lips against mine, deliberately trying to take control of the kiss and slow it down, probably end it quickly with a peck or something.

Nuh-uh, I wasn't having any of that.

My fingers weaved through locks of thick hair as I tilted his head the way I wanted, and when I nipped at his lower lip to elicit a gasp that had him opening his mouth, I plunged my tongue in.

And I couldn't help but groan when mine met his.

This feeling of euphoric excitement of taking control; it was unmatched.

At the first stroke of our tongues, Gideon went absolutely wild. His hand that lay limp against my side clenched my shirt so hard that he'd have probably ripped it out if he'd held it tighter, and the other hand went around to hold the back of my head as he slowly tilted it back up, standing up to match our heights. The added advantage in position gave me an opportunity to prove just how bisexual I was.

And I took it by grabbing his hips by both sides and aligning the bulge on my pants against his.

Hello, there.

I almost choked when our dicks came in contact, albeit through several layers of clothing because someone wasn't as soft I had thought they'd be.

The same someone wasn't as unaffected or as straight as they pretended to be, either.

This was new, and undoubtedly the most unexpected consequence of this kiss, and that just made it all the more fun and hot.

I pulled back and trailed kisses along the side of his jaw as I sniggered cockily under my breath, feeling smug beyond belief, "How do you explain that?" I continued my assault down the side of his neck and along the curve of his collarbone, biting and sucking as I went.

Gideon seemed to be in an aroused daze, too lost to answer.

I mentally shook my head and decided to deal with that later. I was breathing heavily myself, and doing something further to harden the situation in hand—pun definitely intended, would only make it impossible for the two of us to pull apart any time soon.

So I maintained that position as I softened the pressure of my lips, trying to think of every disgusting thing imaginable and calm myself down. I nuzzled against the side of his neck and placed soft little kisses in-between little bites and nips, unable to help myself with all of that glorious skin right there.

I dare you to resist that kind of a temptation.

Finally, Gideon opened his eyes and looked at me, his pupils so blown that it looked like he'd just had a couple of rounds of sheets-burning, earth-shattering, back-clawing, wild fucking.

And I smirked at the sight like the smug bastard that I am, "Not so straight, now, huh?"

My question could either refer to him or me, and I left it at that, taking a step back and blowing a kiss in his direction as I spun around, "See you in class, husband!"

A string of expletives was the only answer I got.

I turned back around and gave a little wave to my shell-shocked friends, grinning the whole way back as I went.

'Cause that's how you prove that someone ain't straight.

When the bell rang, signaling the beginning of AP English, me and Gideon arrived a little earlier than we usually did because of the absolute silence on his part. There had been no bickering or fighting taking place—which were the usual reasons for our delay—and that had made us arrive right on time for Mrs. Clarke to enter.

"Evening, ma'am." I greeted the greying woman with a smile as we walked into the room right beside her, and she smiled back, "Evening, Mr. Remington, Mr. Kincaid."

Yep, she was one of those super polite teachers.

But, she also knew when to be strict, so no one dared to pull any stunts in her class. Plus, she had to maintain a certain level of control if she wanted to handle this subject, because this was when most of us from various groups of classes got together with our friends and it was inevitable that at least some of us had the same English teacher.

"Evening." Gideon nodded and followed me, and once we reached our desk, we sat back and went about with our own business without much interaction.

I pulled out my phone to check my notifications and pass the little time we had until everyone arrived, because it looked like Mrs. Clarke was busy with her books.

A few minutes of awkward silence ticked by that way.

When the first set of people entered the class, I automatically looked up. Surprise was the first emotion I registered once I did, because the trio that entered the room consisted of a towering Axel, flanked on either side by a shorter Lyle and Ryker.

All three of their heads were bent low together in serious discussion, and looking at them, one would think that they were plotting the end of the world.

Since when did they start hanging out together?

Gideon, who still had his nose buried in his novel, must've sensed my emotions beside him. He followed my line of vision and looked up as well, stiffening in surprise, "What the hell are they doing together?"

"Exactly." I raised my eyebrows, and we exchanged a look that clearly spelled hidden panic and worry, because this new little friendship of theirs screamed trouble with a capital T.

"Hey." Axel called, surprise evident in his tone as he looked up and realized that I had just caught him red-handed in the act, while he was fraternizing with the enemy, or behind enemy lines, or a million other betrayal-filled phrases I could think of that could be used to describe this scene.

"Hey." I replied warily, my gaze guarded and serious, clearly conveying to him that I wasn't fooled.

These three were up to something behind our backs, and I didn't have a good feeling 'bout it.

"What's up?" He smiled and I narrowed my eyes, "You guys walk together to classes, now? What are you, dating?"

Lyle sneered, "There's no rule that only married people can walk together."

"Since when are you three BFFs?" Gideon's lips curled up in amusement, "Had sleepovers and PJ parties, yet? Don't forget to invite us."

"Very funny." Ryker rolled his eyes and sat down, followed by Axel and Lyle taking their usual seats—Axel and Ryker in the desk before ours and Lyle in the desk across the aisle from Gideon.

"Seriously, though." I cleared my throat. "What are you three up to?"

"Nothing you'd have to worry about." Axel shook his head—that reassuring, responsible side of him surfacing, "I thought it was nice to hang out with new friends now that you're busy all the time." He winked.

"What? I'm busy?—"

"He just thinks we're cooler than you are." Lyle smirked, raising his eyebrows tauntingly.

"Hey!" I protested, "I'm not—"

"Boys." Mrs. Clarke intervened, making Lyle snort, "I'd like some silence, please. I'm concentrating on something, here."

"Sorry, Mrs. C." We mumbled, and then silence fell upon us.

I took the opportunity to wonder long and hard about what they might be plotting, but nothing seemed plausible. I wondered briefly if they were going to prank somebody, but I wasn't sure how much into that kind of thing, Axel was.

We had never tried pulling any major pranks on anyone, before.

I thought for a few more minutes until the class filled up, but came up empty. Finally, the teacher began her lesson and I was left with no choice but to stop wondering and focus.

That didn't mean this was over, though. I was going to find out what they were doing.

Gideon was silent for the rest of the day.

I'd wanted to push his buttons and prod a little, but since we were in public surrounded by watchful eyes all the time, I hadn't been inclined to go through with it. Teasing was only fun if we were in private and if he squirmed and stayed still in place not because he had to, to save our secret, but because his body was holding him prisoner with its own urges.

Yeah, you could say that I had a naughty side.

And Gideon Kincaid was teasing that side out with every movement of his, from the arrogant way he appraised something like it was beneath him, to the way he tended to saunter into a place like he owned it.

He was an enigma in a class of his own.

"What the hell, man!?" I exclaimed when Axel appeared out of nowhere all of a sudden and grabbed my forearm. He was dragging me away from Gideon—while we were traipsing down the hallway in the direction of the exit—and shooting him a pleading look as he held up his hand, signaling that he'd let me go in two minutes.

Gideon rolled his eyes and continued, leaving me behind as he walked away.

Before I could protest any further, I was dragged inside a room and the door was slammed shut.

"What—?" I twisted around and realized that we were in the Chemistry lab, and Ryker and Lyle were already there, seated on top of one of the front desks, eyes narrowed as they perused me from head-to-toe like I was some sort of an alien being.

Axel went ahead and pulled the teacher's chair out, spinning it around to straddle the back of it as he too, mimicked their poses and sat down, looking at me strangely.

So this was it. Their master-plan.

I sighed, "What's going on, guys?"

Lyle was the first to speak up. He uncrossed his legs and hopped off the desk, walking towards me with an utterly stoic expression on his face, "We're holding an intervention."

"You're holding a—" Humor started to surface as the meaning in his words fell into place, "An intervention? What do you think I'm addicted to?"

"We don't think you're addicted," Ryker started, jumping off to join his friend in front of me, as well, "We think you're bisexual and have developed a serious case of attraction. Which might lead to addiction."

I frowned, "Attracted to whom?"

Lyle and Ryker exchanged gazes like they were wondering if I really was being serious, "Who do you think?" Lyle rolled his eyes, "My 92-year-old grandfather?"

"Ha ha," I rolled my eyes right back, "I'm not attracted to your BFF. You don't have to worry about me getting my heart broken. Now, if you'll excuse me, said BFF is about to ditch me and leave any second, and I have to make it to the parking lot before that."

I spun around, but Axel's voice stopped me in my tracks, "You like him."

Say what, now?

"What!?" I pivoted back to face him so fast that I might've lost my balance, "Okay, seriously, what!? Guys, I don't know what you think you're doing, here, but you're not helping things. In fact, I don't see the whole point of this—" I raised one hand to make mocking air-quotes, "intervention."

"Gideon is in love with you," Lyle said instead, acting like I hadn't just spoken for thirty seconds.

I shook my head at the ridiculousness of it all, "I'm outta here."

"WAIT." Ryker leaned forward and grabbed my arm, stopping me, "We need to make this work."

"Make what work!?"

"You and Gideon." Axel inputted, making a 'duh' face.

"I hate that guy!" I threw my hands up in the air, "Why would I want to make it freaking work!?"

"That's your problem." Ryker shook his head like I was being silly, "Just stay quiet and listen to what we have to say, Harvey. You'll thank us later."

I was in no way willing to do that.

But it looked like I had no choice. So, I grabbed an extra chair from the side and plopped down, "Fine!"

"So," Lyle clapped his hands with a grin, walking from one side of the room to the other in thought, "Gideon's in love with you."

"No, he's not."

"And, you like him." Axel continued with that same pondering look on his face. and it was clear that whatever I had to say was going to be completely ignored.

That didn't mean I was gonna keep quiet, "No. I don't."

"Anywayyyyy." Ryker went on, "Gideon doesn't seem entirely straight. I always knew that."

"Duh." This I could agree on.

He smirked at me, "Yes. So we need you to bring out the gay in him."

Just what in the hell was actually happening around me!?

"WHAT?"

"You see," Axel began, "We don't exactly know why, but he seems to be completely against the idea of accepting that he might like you."

"That's because he doesn't!"

"So," Lyle raised his eyebrows and spread his hands, "we thought the only way to help him realize is to make him want it so badly that he's begging for it."

"Okay, that's a disturbing thought."

"You need to get more physical with him." Ryker walked over and put both his hands on both the armrests of my chair, getting up close to my face so suddenly that I shrank back reflexively.

"Erm . . ." I was still amused, "Why in my right mind, would I ever do that?"

Lyle dragged Ryker away and filled his position by putting his arms and caging me into the chair the same way, looking into my eyes with a dead-serious expression, "You have to seduce him."

I was laughing by now.

"Okay, and . . ?" I raised my eyebrows, humoring him.

"You have to make him understand that his aversion to accepting his feelings towards you," Axel said matter-of-factly, "whether it's because you're a guy or because you're you, his favorite enemy, is just some over-dramatized BS from the past."

I'd be rolling on the floor with laughter, right now, if not for the fact that there were three completely serious people looking at me like they were serious, "And why are you guys telling me all this, again?"

"So that you can fall madly in love with each other!"

"So that you can go screw like bunnies!"

"So that Gideon learns to accept himself and you can be together!"

Ryker, Lyle, and Axel shouted at the same time, making me cringe back.

I was dumbfounded as what to reply, and when I did, it came out louder than I'd planned, "But what if I don't want any of that to happen!?"

"It's too soon. So we didn't expect you to want it." Axel shrugged, "We just wanted to make sure you know this. It's in your hands to push this ahead. When the time comes."

"Yes, and to make him understand that having feelings for a guy doesn't make him a disappointment or a failure," Ryker added, grinning.

"And so that I can finally look at his face and say, 'I fucking told you so, you dumbass'!" Lyle shrugged, an evil snigger following his words.

It was official. My friends had lost it.

My phone vibrated in my hand, and I glanced at the screen to see that it was a message from Gideon.

"I'm leaving in 60 seconds." ~G

Great.

"Uh, you guys are scaring me." I slowly pushed the chair back and stood up, shaking my head, "I think you need to go visit the doctor. The school counselor, at least. Something is not right with your brains."

I reached the door and spun around one last time, "I hope it doesn't come to having you locked up in a facility. Better put that imagination to use and write some fiction. You'd probably be best sellers in no time."

With that, I sighed and left the room, wondering what in the HELL my friends had just smoked.

Because no pot had ever made anyone this crazy before.

When the door to the Chemistry lab shut quietly behind Harvey, the three guys in the room whooped and cheered.

"Wait, did we mess up the whole thing?" Ryker's face was etched with concern, his voice full of worry as he wondered out loud while Axel and Lyle were still not finished with their high-fives and low-fives and half-hugs of happiness, "Did we just meddle too much and ruin it before it even began?"

"No," Lyle denied, his voice strong and decisive, "If they didn't do anything about it for eighteen freaking years, trust me, they wouldn't do anything now, either, if there isn't some friendly nudging in the right direction."

"Yes," Axel agreed, but Ryker still had one lingering thought in mind.

"But they weren't in close proximity for eighteen years, right? Now, they're together all the time. Wouldn't they do something about it?"

"You're right." Axel agreed, nodding, "They would definitely give in and end up falling in bed together some time or the other. Trouble is, there's too much tension, and unnecessary ego between them. Gideon will most probably react badly the morning after, and Harvey will back off forever after that. And, that will be it. They won't ever make themselves vulnerable enough to try again."

"Everything you're saying makes sense," Ryker shook his head, waving him off, "But what makes you think that what we just did is gonna help?"

"Nothing is gonna happen anytime soon," Axel smirked as he crossed his arms, his gaze automatically going in the direction of the closed door through which his friend had just disappeared, "We have planted the seed of a thought in his mind. No matter how much he denies it to himself, this thought will fester and fester until it manifests into something. And when the time comes, he'll know how to handle Gideon."

"Woah," Ryker murmured, filled with awe as he looked at this brilliant guy in front of him, his feelings for him growing more potent than ever, the more time he spent with him.

He wondered what would happen if Axel ever found out about his feelings.

He'd be heartbroken for sure because the more they hung out together, the more sure he was that Axel was as straight as they came.

Lyle, who was oblivious to his inner turmoil, had a salacious glint in his eye as he held up his hand for one last high-five, "You're evil."

Question: Sooo . . . WHAT just happened? Did they just meddle too much and RUIN this? Or did they do just the RIGHT thing?

Lol, anyone hating the troublesome threesome after the meddling?

Oops. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) look at my play on words.↖︎ ignore that. LMAO.

Hope y'all liked this chappie! xx
