A old man had left moments ago to find the Dupain-Chengs inside the hospital. Adrien sat in the car but wasn't able to hold still. How could he just sit in the passenger side of the car and not worry about his Princess?
Marinette was hurt and a pain in the blonde's chest kept reminding him that it was his fault. He ran away which lead to Marinette search for him in the first place. Then that stupidly brave girl comes to his rescue moments before he himself was found by Theo.
Adrien promised himself to never run away again if it didn't involve Marinette getting hurt anymore. He just had to know if she was okay, heal alright and feel better.
The old Chinese man returned to the car and opened the passenger's door.
"Come on, Adrien. You're going home," he said with a smile, arms crossed behind his back. Adrien froze on the spot and stared shockingly at the man.
"H-How-"
"My name is Master Fu," Fu spoke, cutting Adrien off. "I'm Tikki's boss and the one who assigned her to you. It seems she has done a good job with her work too."
Adrien gaped at Fu with an open mouth with no words coming out or processing on his tongue. He was truly flabbergasted. Fu picked Adrien up and delivered him back to the Dupain-Chengs.
"Thank you, sir, for everything you have done. How can we ever repay you?" Tom asked Fu who shook his head.
"Nonsense. I'm just glad that everyone is okay," Fu replied before walking out of the hospital. Adrien didn't notice the collar around his neck start to green glow a little.

After three months, Marinette's wounds had healed nicely and was finally home about two months ago. Plagg had visited about two times after hearing about the events from the birds which really got on Adrien's nerve. Yet, he could tell that the stray seemed to care about the teen girl quite a bit more than Adrien thought.
The search for Adrien had been cut off a few weeks ago. This resulted in Chloe getting a new boyfriend within that time and faking her remorse for the lost model. Adrien didn't care though.
He had a new life that he wouldn't give up for the world. Even though he was stuck as a cat, Adrien didn't care as long as he was able to be with Marinette. The bluenette's life was still rough considering she didn't have any human friends at school and still being bullied.
That was until her parents decided to let her be homeschooled and do classes online. Adrien kept her company the whole time (with occasional naps). The blonde grew closer and closer to the girl, licking her rosy cheeks and rubbing against her calves to show his affection and admiration.
If only he knew what that warm tingly feeling that made his heart skip and float on cloud nine. The way Marinette laughed melted his heart, or the cute way she stuck her tongue out when drawling a new design made him smile like an idiot.
He still couldn't figure it out. What was it that he felt for the beautiful girl that stole his heart without knowing?
Adrien's thoughts came to a stop when feeling soft hands pick him up and held above the said girl. She smiled warmly at the black cat that changed her life.
"Oh Chaton," Marinette sighed, happily. "I'm so glad I found you when I did. You're pretty much my only friend now." Adrien smiled fondly at his wonderful Princess. She truly is a saint.
"And I am so happy to have met you, Princess," he replied, but coming out as a "meow" instead. He figured Marinette knew that he cared for her without having to say a single word. Besides, actions speak louder than words. Right? Yet, he couldn't help but continue, "I wanna tell you how special you are."
Adrien leaned down and licked Marinette's nose while resting his paw on her shoulder blade. The bluenette giggled from the small featherlike kisses on her nose making her cheeks grow rosier. Adrien absolutely cherished her laugh and the spark of joy in the stunning, melodic tune.
"...and what an amazing person you are. How loving...caring..." Adrien thought, blissfully. His bell made a beautiful tinkling noise but neither noticed.
"Chat, you dork!" Marinette giggled, the gleam in her bluebell eyes never fading.
"I never want to see you sad...I want to make you happy," Adrien thought as Marinette pulled the black cat back and sweetly pecked his nose. His heart fluttered at the touch of her lips. The bell tinkled more and more, green sparkles glittering magically around the bell with every ring.
"I want to tell you in person...as my true self...," he thought. A green light flashed, replacing the black cat with his true form.
"...that I love you."
Adrien Agreste appeared above Marinette and kissing her on the lips. The two blushed a deep shade of red. Adrien pulled back and the two stared at each other wide eyed, completely speechless. The air left both teens paralyzed in their states of shock.
Adrien quickly shuffled away to the other side of the bed and looked at his hands.
"I...I'm back to normal. I'm back to normal!" Adrien spoke in disbelief, smiling. Then he looked down to see his clothes were different. A black t-shirt and shorts replaced his normal clothes. The cat collar was still around his neck though.
The blonde took the collar off and threw it in the nearby trash. The model heard shuffling coming from the other side of the bed. His green eyes turned their attention to the frozen Marinette who was still processing what just happened.
"Marinette...it's alright just stay calm, and I'll explain everything. Please, don't call for your parents," Adrien begged.
Marinette gaped, stunned with what happened and couldn't find the words so she closed her mouth nodded. Her hands clutched the bed's sheets and could feel sweat on her palms.
He loves how understanding and calm his Princess could be even after what just happened. Moments ago, he was merely a cat but now, he was Adrien Agreste once again. Yet, different. Better in a way he never knew he could be.
"You have a lot of explaining to do," Marinette finally said, feeling embarrassed and flushing a cute pink.
The blonde sheepishly scratched the back of his neck, "Where do I begin..."
"Try the beginning," Marinette numbly answered, crossing her arms and glaring daggers at the model. She deserved an explanation and one heck of an apology.
So, Adrien began to explain everything that had happened to him to now. Going over everything again and reflecting on his adventure left a bad taste in his mouth. There were things he regretted like scratching Marinette and running away.
He wasn't proud of the things he did and wanted to fix them. Fix himself up a bit and hope the beauty in front of him would help him through it all. Adrien needed a new role model in life, and Marinette was the perfect fit. If she accepted that is.
After he explained and apologized for what felt like the hundredth and one time, his gaze met with pretty bluebell. Marinette was intrigued and astonished with all that Adrien had been through.
"So...you think that m-my k-k-kiss broke t-the sp-ell?" the bluenette asked, stuttering. Marinette's cheeks were still pink and looked away. It felt weird to say such lines that sounded like they were from a fairytale.
"W-well..." it was Adrien's turn to flush a deep red as he smiled kindly,"I think there was more to it than that." Marinette tried to think over what he meant until her heart sped crazy fast and became a nervous wreck.
She grabbed the nearest pillow to hide her completely crimson face. Her palms grew sweaty and thoughts raced across her mind many miles per minute.
"Marinette...I'm sorry if you don't feel the same way and if it's to awkward being around me..." Adrien said, disappointed. His gaze fell in sadness and stomach churned, a frown forming on his lips. He didn't know why he even tried to like-like someone so extraordinary when she didn't feel-
"Adrien, don't you ever apologize for that again. You can't control how you feel about someone," Marinette quickly said. A sigh escaped her mouth and reached up to brush her fingers against them.
"You stole my first kiss..." she added, making Adrien's guilt sky rocket more than before. Then she chuckled a little, a small smile on her face.
"Can we...start over and try this again?"
Adrien shot his head up, hope filling his chest and a bubbly warmth lifting his spirits. He reached out his hand and introduced, "Adrien Agreste, teen model."
Marinette smile brightened fondly at the cute blonde. She grasped his hand and said, "Marinette Dupain-Cheng, baker's daughter."
"You mean the most talented fashion designer in the world," Adrien corrected, wiggling his eyebrows. The bluenette rolled her eyes at that but melted into a pile of goo.
"Would you Marinette Dupain-Cheng do me the honors of letting this cat take you out sometime. Maybe a movie?" The green-eyed model asked.
"I would love too," Marinette answered.
