I crawled from my hard bed and began searching for my uniform. Today was the first day of classes. From what I've seen my fellow students are still pretty shaken up by the accident. But who am I kidding it was just an accident. Accidents happen.

I finally found my uniform. I pulled it over my boxers. I walked down the hall for breakfast. The conversations I heard were the same old topics. 'Do you think it was an accident?' 'It was definitely a murder'

I thought girls only ever spoke about makeup and shoes. I continued my way to breakfast.

I took a bowl and got cereal. I looked at the time only to realise I was running late. I got up leaving my cereal and running to home room. I sat down and just spun a pencil for the ten minutes I was in there for.

I looked at my Timetable. "World studies?" I moaned putting my head against the table. The bell went. To be sure I wasn't late Professor Bennetts class I actually kept up with the crowd instead of adventuring somewhere random.

My fellow seniors piled into the room and we all took our seats. For some reason I just couldn't get my mind off the tree incident. I was like that for the rest of the day. Not paying attention in class which was highly unlike me. I was usually listening and taking notes of almost everything the teacher says. Even during sports. I was down. Out of the 'zone'.

After the day was done I headed back to my dorm where I found my roommate heading out with a bottle of some type of alcohol. "You wanna come Reid?" He asked.

"Sorry, not a big drinker." I walked past him and sat on my bed with my phone in my hands.

"Your loss dude."

I shrugged my shoulders and began flicking through the apps on my phone. I looked out the window as my room mate walked out.

"My loss. My loss?" I scoffed.

I got a message from my dad.

I opened it. 'Hey son. Hope your having a good time.'

I tried to ignore it but it's not in my nature to be rude. Even though if I'm not smiling I look intimidating, I'm a pretty nice guy.
