The Fog

I got to admit that I felt pretty uncomfortable about being distanced of my sister. She was the only person I knew here, and it was like being a mouse among the rats. She presented to me her new friend, and apparently his name was Caleb or something.
I couldn't believe her. We didn't even start school and she still managed to find a way to get a new friend. Well, this time he looked cool, and actually nice, unlike others she got. To be honest, I always had a bad feeling about them. One time, she told me that one of them was smoking and drinking, and she made jokes about it.
I may sound very dummy, but I don't want my sister to stay with these sort of people.
Well, in the moment they don't hurt her, it's okay I mean, but still. It sounds so messed up for me...

I got a bit out of subject. When Lara and Caleb went to their room, I continued upstairs and joined my classroom. All I saw were unknown faces. Unknown faces everywhere. I just sat down at my place. Our principal teacher came in, and the class went silent. It was a tall man, yet still not as tall as me, and it was a sport teacher. He looked strict, and an eye contact with him was enough to make us do a heart attack. He spoke very slowly, and it seemed like the time stopped to.

I'm not finished with my story, but I can tell you I hated that day. Genuinely. But I won't start complaining right now, I need to continue telling.

Anyway, he gave us our planner, and I didn't quite understand it at first, so I tried to listen to the teacher to understand more. Yet, I still understood nothing after his explanations. It felt very stressing. All of sudden, it felt like the whole world was blurry.

Damnit, I hated that moment, I still need to explain it. I tried looking everywhere, but people's face were blurry. The teacher was moving his mouth, but it seemed like no sound came out from it. I knew that there was, but I couldn't understand what he was saying. Well, I didn't understand what was happening at all. Then I realized how much my heart was beating fast. I held on my chest, trying to look as small as possible, but of course being the tallest in the classroom didn't help at all. I tried to breath in and breath out, knowing that breathing exercices do help a lot in these sort of situations.
I closed my eyes, trying to ignore the mess going on. I couldn't get a sound of what was going, and I was panicked that I looked so dumb in the outside.
Then I finally understood something. Addressed to me.
"Aiden Flitzer, get back on Earth."
I looked up, opened my eyes, and saw that the room turned normal again. But my teacher was staring right over me, with his piercing eyes. Obviously, all of my new classmates looked at me too.
All these eyes on me... worst sensation I ever knew. Anyway, somehow I still caught up very fastly, must be my survival instinct or something.
"I am here, sir."
The teacher continued staring at me for a few seconds, as he wanted to test me, but finally got off and returned back to his explanations.
Fastly, people deturned their gazes, and I heard some giggles, but just decided to ignore it.

Well, it wasn't the best way to start school in fact, but it's sure that it could have been worse. It was still destabilizing, because I never experienced a such anxiety while the start of the new school year, but I've just told myself "It will get better". The hour that seemed like an eternity finally ended, and I got out of the classroom. We were having maths later, and I hoped that the lesson would pass in a better way than it did with the last one. Many people do hate maths, but in my opinion, in the moment you understand it, it's a pretty chill school subject. Teacher gives you lesson, you read them, they give you exercices, you do them, and you end up being the most successful in mathematics. But I can understand that it's not that easy for everyone.

I walked away, with my planner in hands, trying to understand the unintelligible words on it. Suddenly, I bumped into a short brunette girl, and she fell off the floor. I let out a little sound of surprise, and saw what I've done. I felt very ashamed. It was my first day, and I was already noticed 2 times for being the unattentive student. And plus, this girl asked nothing but certainly NOT being bumped into the first day of school. She looked up at me, somekind of frightened look in her eyes. I reached out my hand to her, and she reached too, but then I got pushed away. I wasn't prepared at all, so my breath cut and it felt difficult to breath for a few seconds. I looked back at who pushed me, and saw a medium-tall black-haired guy standing infront of the girl I accidentally pushed, having a clearly angry and hatred face. I deduced that it was her boyfriend.
"What the fuck are you doing? Can't you look at where you're going?" He said, calmly but with such an aggressive tone.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to..." as I started, but I didn't know why I said what I said after, maybe and probably because I was already pissed off that the day goes so wrong, "...But you don't have to stand up for your girl. She can't defend herself, she doesn't need her puppy to protect her," I continued, staring into his eyes.
His face turned into another face, one that contained even more hatred, if it was possible. He took me by the collar, so forced me to stay at his level, it was a real eye contact. People around us looked worried, and the girl on the floor even more. She stood up very quickly, and had a sorry gaze. I heard someone shouting "Fight!", and in a few seconds, everyone was there. Why people had such this will to watch people beat each other... in the corner of my eye, I saw Lara and Caleb, watching me getting dominated by a stranger.
Anyway, I got pretty annoyed, and pushed him away, forcing him to lose his grip.
"Chill dude. I don't want problems, less a fight, especially the first day. I'm sorry," as I finished, while looking at the girlfriend of the black-haired guy.
The boy infront looked at me harshly, but his gaze softened a bit. He finally stopped his fighting pose, and side eyed me. I just looked at him.

To be honest, I wanted to go away so badly. Anywhere, but not here, as everyone could look at me like I'm a freak. But I know very right that now we would notice me everywhere. Just because I pushed a poor girl. People know that I didn't even do it on purpose, right? Oh gosh, I thought at this moment. I needed to stop thinking.

I walked away, trying to calm down, still upset of what happened. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked at who dared to touch me while I wasn't in the mood to see a single soul. Seeing my sister, trying to comfort me, probably at least softened my gaze. I saw Caleb right behind her, with quite a worried look in his eyes. It was ridiculous. I was getting angry for  nothing, if everything of this happen, it's mainly my fault. I can't aggress others.

"Uhm. Yeah, hi"
