Chapter 3 | Brooklyn
Sleep. That is all I am thinking right now. Suddenly I feel a heavy weight on my chest and bouncing. "Brook! Brook! Broooook!!! Get up!! It's time for camp!!" My youngest sister, Zoe, shouts, making me cough. "GAH! Get... Off... Me!" I grunt, pushing her on the floor. She runs out the door and giggles. Good morning to me huh? I drag myself to my closet and pick a hot pink tank with a gold belt around my stomach and denim shorts. I brush my long, thick brown hair and fishtail it. As I slip on white converse sneakers my other sister, Kadince, runs in with a small white box. "Not till your birthday," she demands. I nod and shove the box in my pink rolling suitcase. I grumble about why I have to go to this camp. I mean, no phones?! Who has ever heard of that?! NO ONE!!
"Pancakes!" Mom says as she places a huge stack of pancakes in front of me. I sit down and start eating. I am going to miss pancakes. "You ready?" Mom asks me after I finish my pancakes. I nod and grab my suitcase. "Gah! How am I supposed to carry this?! It's huge and heavy!" I whine. Mom pulls out a black thing on the top. "It has wheels," she replies simply. I laugh nervously and grab the handle. "Brooklyn, promise me you will at least try to have fun," Mom has corned me. I walked right into her trap. "Yea, sure. But how am I supposed to do that with out my phone?" I ask. Mom sighs and looks back at the road. "Can I at least bring my iPod? I need music," I beg her. "Well the packing list didn't say you couldn't, fine," she finally gave in. Yes!!! I pull my headphones out of out of my pocket and start my playlist. "Bye Mom! Love you!" I shout and roll my suitcase to a bench and sit. I see two girls running a track, a blond doing a cartwheel or flip like things every now and again, and a brunette, she just ran, she seems so focused. Whatever, I just wanna listen to my music.
Hey Wazzup?!
What do ya think bout our inner blond? Can you relate to her?
Hope you liked this chapter!!
