He turn his side towards Her and saw that she was shivering duo to cold. He covered her properly with the blanket. And again slept peacefully.

In the morning meerab wakes up first duo to a knock on their room door. She took her dupatta and opened the door slightly." Apko aur khan ko maa begum ne bulaya hai niche", a maid informed her and left.

She close the door and goes to take a bath. She came out from the washroom wearing a pink kurti and white palazzo. He opened his eyes and saw her wiping her hairs with towel. He blinked his eyes two or three times to come in reality.

She looked at him amd said,"Woh apki mama ne niche bulaya hai.... Humein. Aap taiyar ho jayein", she said looking downwards." Thik hai tum niche jao main aata hu", he said but she nodded her head in a no.

"Ji nhi main akele nhi jaungi", she said." Don't worry koi tumhein kuch nhi bolega, magar phir bhi tum akele nhi jana chahti toh thik hai main ready hi jata hu phir sath mein chalte hain", he said and retired towards washroom.

After a while he came out of tge washroom wearing a white shirt and black jeans. He took his blazer from cupboard and place it on the couch.

"Main apka bnagdage badal deti hu", she said and instructed him to sit on the couch. She took out the bandage slowly and put ointment on the wound then again bandaged it. The cut was not deep but also not a small one.

" Thanks for this", he said eyeing towards his hand." Yeh toh mera farz tha she said and smiled lightly.

They came downstairs together and saw maa begum was sitting on the living area waiting for them.

"Assalamualaikum maa saab", He said." Walaikum assalam", maa begum replied and looked towards meerab and said," Tumne kya gungi ladki pasand ki hai murtasim". Meerab looked at her and said," nhi aunty mujhe bolna aata hai", she said.

Maa begum looked at her stunned." Maa begum, Sab mujhe maa begum bolte hain toh tum bhi yahi bologi", maa begum said correcting her." Ji", she nodded.

"Aab jo bhi kar lo isse yeh sach nhi badlega ke tum iss khandan ki bahu ho, aur tum mere bete ki pasand ho toh main kuch nhi leh sakti mujhe Murtasim par bharosa hai", maa begum said." Maa saab aap log baat karein main office ke liye nikalta hu", he said and was about to leave.

"Ruko Murtasim", maa begum stopped him and continue," Iss khandan ke kuch riwayat hai". Murtasim looked at his mother's face with a confused look. Maa begum removed their khandani ring from her finger and handed him the ring." Yeh apni khani ko pehena do.

He took the ring and forward his hand towards meerab. She place her hand on his palm and he slide the ring in her ring finger. Its was looking more beautiful in her hand like it was only made for her.

"Beta yeh anguthi Iss khandan ki bahu ko isi liye diya jata hai kyu ke aane wale waqt mein khani ki zimmedariyan bhi milne wali hoti hai unhe, mujhe meri saas ne di thi maine tumhein di hai aur aane wale kal mein tumhein apni bahu ko deni hai", she said placing her hand on her head and bless her." Magar maa begum mujhe khani ke kaam'on ke bare mein nhi pata kuch", she said.

"Koi maa ke peet se sikh kar nhi aata waqt ke sath tum bhi sikh jaogi, main hu na main samjha dungi tumhe", maa begum said and smiled at her. She felt an unknown connection towards meerab. Haya was fuming in jealousy with all this.

" Aab main jaa sakta hu, i'm getting late", he said." Sab sath mein nashta karte hain phir chale jana", maa begum said and took meerab with her towards dinning table.

They sat there, mariyam and haya joined them." Apne sohar ko khana parosh do, acchi biwiya'n apne sohar ka khyal aise hi rakhti hain", maa begum said meerab.
Meerab nodded and served him food.

He took his spoon and start eating his food until maa begum spoke about their walima." Kal sham ko walima hai tum dono ka", maa begum said." Mere office ka schedule busy hai abhi maa saab", he uttered." Main razamandi nhi mang rahi bata rahi hu, Bina bataye shaadi kar li aab walima toh mere hisab se karwane do", maa begum said.

Murtasim looked at his mother with a 'Meri koi izzat hai ke nhi' wala look." Maa begum phir toh humein aaj bohot sari shopping karni hogi", mariyam said happily." Aur nhi toh kya, meerab ko sath lee kar chalte hain hum", maa begum said." Maa begum main kaise?", meerab asked." Aab kya iske liye apne shohar ki ijazat chahiye? Tumhari saas ka hukm hai yeh", maa begum said and she nodded.

Haya was feeling like a third person there." Maa begum", haya uttered." Haan bolo haya kya baat hai", maa begum asked her." Woh main karachi wapas jaan chahti hu", haya said." Koi zarurat nhi hai, kal walima hai kitna kaam hai tumhe toh mera hath batwa na chahiye, abhi toh sab shopping pe chal rahe hain", maa begum said.

They complete their breakfast and Murtasim leave for his office. Maa begum, meerab, mariyam and haya was sitting on the living room. Maa begum was making list of everything.

"Meerab beta tum apne ghar ka pata bata do main tumhare maike jaa kar khud unhe invite kar aaungi, akhir beti se kab tak gussa rahenge", maa begum said with a smile." Woh maa begum actually main".... Maa begum cut her words and asked," accha apne walid sahab ka naam hi bata do main pata khud nikalwa lungi",maa begum said.

"Waqas ahmad hai unka naam. Khair woh aab humare beech nhi hai, koi nhi hai mera ", she said." Tum waqas ki beti ho", maa begum said. She nodded. She was surprised yet shocked. She didn't recognize her. A tear escaped from meerab's eyes. Maa begum wiped the tear and hugged her.

"Rotey nhi bacche, kisne kaha koi nhi hi tumhara hum sab tumhare hi toh hain beta. Khabardar agar aise bola ke koi nhi hai tumhara", maa begum said. Meerab felt a comfort which she felt with her mother. Maa begum patted her back to console her.

"Agar anila aur waqas bhai hotey toh kitni khushi se main tumhe unke ghar se ruksar kar ke le aati, khair allah unki magfirat farmaye", maa begum said.

" Accha aab koi sad nhi hoga. Sab log shopping pe chalte hain", mariyam said." Haan jao taiyar ho jao sab", maa begum said. Haya was looking so annoying so mariyam said," Ho sake toh kapdon ke sath apni shakal bhi badal lena haya".
Haya glared at her and left.

Meerab changed into her yellow kurti. She was combing her hairs when maa begum knocked her room's door."Aa sakti hu?", maa begum asked." Aapko ijazat ki zarurat nhi hai maa aap aa jayein", she said.

"Main bas tumhari amanat tumhein dene aayi thi", maa begum said and handed her a blue velvet coloured box. She opened the box and got mesmerized by the Kangans. That diamond kangans are looking beautiful yet elegant.

"Yeh humari khandani kangan hai", maa begum said and slid them in her wrist. She noticed red bangles ih her hands." Sach kahun toh tumhare hathon mein yeh kanch ki choodiyan bhi qeemti lagti hain beta, choodiyan chahe utar dena magar yeh kangan mat utarna", maa begum said.

"Yeh choodiyan main nhi utarungi maa begum yeh Murtasim ne kharid kar diye the mujhe", She uttered and a blush flushed in her face. Maa begum smiled at her." Accha pehen ke rakho aur bhi laa dega woh", maa begum teased her and left.

She took her shawl and came downstairs. As haya saw those kangans in her hnd her blood boils." Tumne kyu pehene  yeh?", haya asked." Maa begum ne diye hain isi liye", She replied." Utaro unhein abhi ke abhi", haya said angrily." Aur main kis khushi mein apki baat manne lagi boliye, aap khanum hain?", she said sarcastically.

Haya's mouth was hell opened. Her attitude was next level." Kya hua haya? Muh kyu faad rahi ho?", Mariyam asked while coming." Mind your own business", haya said rudely." Same to you darling", mariyam said and left with meerab.

Firstly they go to a jewellery shop. Maa begum buy some jewellery for meerab by her choice and told her to select something she liked. Mariyam selected a diamond bracelet for herself and another for haya who is fuming in jealousy and anger.

After that they visited to shopping mall to buy cloths. Maa begum was too busy to buy cloths for her only daughter in law." Maa begum aap already 20 dresses select kar chuki hain bas rehne dein", meerab said slowly." Arre beta yeh tum pe acche lagenge", maa begum said.

Haya and mariyam are too busy with their shopping. After that they buy her Walima outfit and his outfit also. Then they left for haveli.

It was already evening when they came home. They are too tired with all this. Maa begum told them to take rest.

Murtasim came to their room after completing his dinner. He saw her confused face and asked her," kya hua?". She looked at him and shook her head.
"I'm confused", she uttered." About what?", he asked.

"Yeh wali dress ke sath kounsi jewellery pehenu? This or thar?", she said pointing towards her Joda and some necklaces.

He looked at her with disbelief. Like she's stressed with her clothes and jewellery. "Let me help you", he said and took a necklace in his hand.

"Yeh wala accha nhi lagega", he said while making faces." Umm.. Yeh sahi lagega", he said holding a diamond necklace." Haan yeh toh pehle hi maine pasand kiya tha phir socha", she said." Kya socha?", he asked." Ke kahin acha nhi laga toh!", she said cutely." Yahi pehen lena accha lagega main bol raha hu", he said smiled. She smiled at him brightly and uttered a "Thank you".
