Chapter 1: The Meeting

Ok, so this story is not mine. It is one of my besties, Starr. She doesn't have an account yet and wanted me to post it on mine. So please vote, comment and enjoy the story!

I'm sitting by Marella, eating some of her strawberry-flavored air, when I realize I left my alchemy experiment in the lab.

"I'm going to be right back," I tell Marella.
"Where are you going?" she asks.

"The alchemy classroom, I left my metal-curing liquid in there."

"Ok, hurry back soon."
"I will!"

I'm in such a rush to get to the alchemy classroom, that I almost walk past it. When I walk in, there is a boy that's already in there. He seems embarrassed to be found in the lab during lunch.

"Hey, are you ok?" I ask him.
"Oh no, I'm fine," he says.
"Are you sure? You seem like you aren't feeling good."

"Yeah, I just don't have anyone to sit with." He turns red at this statement.

"Oh, well do you want to sit with me?" I ask.
"Sure," he says.

As we walk to the table, I introduce myself to him. He tells me he is Dex Dizznee. His name sounds familiar, but I can't tell where it is from.

When we get to the table, Marella says "Violet, did you bring in a stray?" "No," I say.

"This is Dex Dizznee." Marella side-eyes me. "Can I talk to you for a second?" "Sure?" I say.
Marella takes me to the closest wall in the lunchroom. Dex looks at us quizzically, then looks like he realizes something sad. What's that all about?

"Do you know who he is?" Marella says.
"Who, Dex?" I say.
"Yes," Marella says.
"Dexter Dizznee"

"Well duh. I'm talking about his family. His parents are a bad match, and then they had triplets!"

"So? Why does that mean he can't sit with us?"
"It would make us look bad, like we're friends with the kid whose parents are a bad match." "Well, I don't care. He seems like a nice kid, so I will sit with him."

Marella looks like she wants to snap my neck. I walk over to the table and plop down.

"Sit down." I calmly say to Dex. He nervously sits down and finishes eating his lunch. Marella watches all of this, grabs her food, and stalks off.

"What was that all about?" Dex asks me quietly.

"Nothing, Marella is just being silly, that's all."
"Oh, ok," he says, looking confused.
We have a silent -but nice- lunch. When the bells chime for lunch to end, we get up and pack up our stuff.

"What's your next class?" I ask Dex.
"Huh?" he says, looking confused like he wasn't sure if I was talking to him. "I have Elementism next, why?"

"I have the Universe, so want to walk together?" "Sure!" he says, a smile lighting up his face.

As we walk to class, we talk about each other, getting to know each other better. As we talk, I start to notice small things about Dex, like how he has dimples, or how when he smiles, so does his whole face.

I realize small details about him that I have never noticed about anyone else.

Hope you enjoyed the first Chapter! I will try to post a new chapter for Starr every Sunday!
