CHAPTER 25 | THE QUEEN'S LAIR
##########################
Third Person's P.O.V.:
"Abort the baby and you live, or I'll kill you both and have your souls fed to the demons." Astra offered to the terrified Isabella, as she had showed her demon form to the pregnant lady.
But even though Isabella had her knees shaking; her whole body trembling and her heart racing, she would never abandon her child just what like her parents did to her.
Her stubbornness infuriated Astra. The demon child rashed out and attacked the woman by giving her a claw wound on her arms, as the mother tried to protect (y/n). When she was about to deliver the final blow, Krezth arrived and stopped Astra with a swing of his hands. His blood boiled and eyebrows furrowed as he let anger over come his senses.
Astra didn't know he was there. Her eyes saw his human form as he yelled at her frantically. He had enough of Astra's mischiefs, and he wanted to teach her a lesson. She was still his daughter afterall. He decided to send her soul into a human child, and ordered her to live like one. But, Astra hated humans. Wait, no—she despised them.
"You will be reborn as a human; and you are to grow up and live among them!" The King shouted at his first born, as she clenched her fists and let out a faint bloodlust.
"You can't do this to me!! I'm your daughter! Your real daughter! And now you're throwing me away just because of that witch?!" Her heart sank with pure sadness and anger, as she glared at the woman beside her father.
"Don't you dare speak to her that way!"
"Why can't I?! She's probably brainwashed you and forced you into having a chil—"
"Enough!!" Krezth took away her ability to speak and pinned her down with his powers. Giving a healing potion to Isabella, he instructed her to drink it and excused himself. He grabbed Astra, and took her back to the Underworld.
When they arrived, he gave back her voice to discuss what happened, but they just started arguing even more. Krezth thought that he could talk it through with his daughter, but it was no use. Astra's anger to him and humans was beyond help. So, with his powers back to maximum strength as he was in demon form, he sent Astra's soul in Human Realm, possessing a new born baby who went by the name of Elyona.
Every demon in the Underworld was madly astounded by their King's actions. What kind of ruler and father would dispose their first born for a mere human? It was ridiculous in their eyes and minds. They had to do something.
All demons have human forms. However, it compresses their power and bloodlust to attract less spiritually talented humans—also known as Nen users. A Demon's power decreases if they switch to that form, making them almost human and less demonic. The King of the Underworld wasn't an exception to that rule, and that's what exactly the rebelling demons needed.
The difference in Krezth's power was witnessed by Royien, the devoted Right Hand of the late Queen Arthea. He and other demons who hated the reign of their current King devised a plan that would change the alliance and peace between three realms forever.
One night, on the same day Astra was thrown into baby Elyona's body, Isabella was about to give birth to (y/n). She was already in the hospital when King Krezth arrived in his human form, nervous and excited for his child. Little did he know, that child was going to be his weakness and downfall.
While Isabella was in the operating rom,
Krezth anxiously waited outside. After a few minutes, the doctors suddenly bursted out of the doors, screaming in horror.
Krezth immediately ran inside to see what has happened, and saw (y/n) in Isabella's arms, with demonic aura oozing out of the baby's body. Isabella can be seen to be very exhausted, as giving birth to (y/n) required twice the energy a normal birth would have. It was a demon's child afterall.
He had feared this would happen. Since (y/n) was half-demon, a portion of his power and blood would manifest in her. The half-human body was not built to possess demon magic, let alone the king's power. So, he had to counter it by using Queen Arthea's power, the core Astra now wanted from (y/n). He also needed to heal and restore Isabella's life energy, which also required a lot of magic.
However, the process was slow since he was in human form and he can't transform into his demon one. The treaty the 3 Realms signed when they formed their alliance included banning demons on the Human realm, as it would attract danger to them. So, it was agreed that they could enter the human realm in their human forms.
That rule was immediately broken by Astra earlier, and the group of demons raiding the hospital, led by Royien. He promised to avenge Queen Arthea's death, and fulfill her wish of disposing Isabella and her child. The demons killed each and every one person inside the hospital before heading to the operating room, where Krezth was using his limited powers to save Isabella and (y/n).
He was so close in completing the seal on the baby, when Royien appeared and attacked the the four of them. Krezth knew Royien was aiming for the woman, so he covered Isabella and received a lethal strike near his heart instead. Royien predicted that would happened, so he prepared something ahead. Instantly, Krezth felt the poison spread from the attack, which refrained him from transforming back to his demon form.
Lieon arrived from behind the scene with widened eyes, and ready to jump in front to protect his master and family. But the king stopped him. Krezth knew Royien was much more stronger than Lieon—especially that he was in human form. Plus, Lieon still can transform and flee, unlike him.
He ordered his Right Hand to take them far away from the raging demons and the hospital, while he deals with Royien. Even though worried, Lieon abided and obeyed his master. Carrying the weak Isabella and (y/n) as he transformed, he left Krezth—who bought enough time for them to escape, and fought until his last breath.
Royien took his power from his body, and Queen Arthea's remaining magic, determined to give both to the sole heir—Astra—as soon as he finds the mortal she was reborn into.
Lieon felt Isabella's consciousness slipping out slowly. He stopped from running and placed the two girls down. Both of them needed immediate attention, but he couldn't treat them both since he could only do one at a time.
He couldn't choose. While still debating who to tend to first, the mother took his hand and hovered it over (y/n)'s head.
"Complete the seal on her first," She sluggishly stated in a feeble voice, her skin getting colder and her skin getting more pale.
"But..." Lieon hesitantly responded as his eyes looked down, but Isabella reassured him with a daint smile.
"Save her, please. Save my daughter." She pleaded with weary eyes, as she felt her life energy getting depleted in each second. He respected her wishes and continued to seal the leaking power in (y/n)'s body. However, because of that, Royien was able to track down their location.
As soon as Lieon was done with (y/n), he then averted his attention to Isabella. Before he could start chanting, people screaming can be heard nearby, and he felt the demons' presence closing in.
"Ugh, they still caught up to us?!" He cursed under his breath, and promptly carried (y/n) in his arms. "Come on Isabella, we need to—"
"Go. Leave me here, and take her to a safe place." The mother interrupted with her hands cupping her daughter's small face, and leaving a farewell kiss on her forehead.
"What?! No! I can still—"
"I'm dying, Lieon. I'll just be deadweight to you. You'll get away faster without me."
"But—"
"Take her somewhere else safe, okay? Please." Isabella had accepted the fact that she wasn't going to make it, as she stood up and gave (y/n) one last look. "I'll confuse them and run to the opposite direction you're going. Now, go!" She shouted with sad tears escaping her eyes, and Lieon did was what he was told. Even though it was against his will.
Lieon departed with his eyebrow furrowed and his heart broken at the knowledge of (y/n)'s parents dying. As he vanished into the dark alleyways of the city, he heard Isabella's screams from afar and covered the baby's ears. She doesn't need to hear that.
Lieon knew keeping the baby with him wasn't safe either. Royien was familiar with his aura, and he couldn't risk his family getting hurt too. His wife was already pregnant with Riesha, and was on her 8th month. He had to think of another place to hide (y/n).
He kept running farther and farther from Royien and the demons. At the corner of his eyes, he saw an orphanage. It would be best to mix the child with other children, instead of adults who can probably sense her faint power. He then casted another spell on (y/n), hoping that it help her survive the cruel world. He also placed an extra seal on the power (y/n) has, just in case.
Since Royien can still sense and track Lieon, he decided that part ways with (y/n) immediately, and leave her at the orphanage. Little did he know, the vessel Astra possessed was also born in the same, exact place.
As it seemed that the spell Lieon gave her was a misfortune because of that reason, it really was a blessing in disguise. And that fortune came in the face of an assassin, a boy who she met in one faithful night, and took her away from Elyona. If it wasn't for Killua and that incident, Astra would've killed (y/n) a long time ago.
It wasn't long enough before the memories of few years in the orphanage flashed back in (y/n)'s mind. She saw the first time she met Siel, Yona and the other children. She witnessed her short childhood spent in isolation, if it weren't for those two. And she does admit it, she missed them. They were her first friends. And now, they were both gone.
"Can you see it now, (y/n)?? Can you see how you stole everything away from me?! How you ruined everybody's lives?!" Astra furiously shouted at her sister inside the Extractor, whose both hands were clenching her black hair as memories forcefully continued to enter her mind. Agony and sorrow was written all over (y/n)'s face, since she just witnessed the secret of her parents, and them getting killed. It was a lot to take in.
The pain was excruciating, yet somehow tolerable. Along with the misery, she felt a sense of relief because she now knows who and what she really is. It took 18 years for her to identify her origin and know her parents' names—although she hoped she discovered it in a different circumstance.
"You will pay for everything you and your human mother have done to my family!!" The queen yelled with her voice breaking, as if her emotions were affecting her words. She casted a different magic into the machinery (y/n) was kept in, as pure anger burned in her green eyes.
"I'm...sorry..." (y/n) uttered in such a small voice, she even doubt Astra heard her. But as she gazed back to the demon queen, droplets of tears appeared at the corner of her eyes, streaming down on her cheeks. The memories of her parent's past lingered in her head, along with the suffocating pain of each every person she saw. She absorbed those emotions, just like how demons feed on negative ones and how humans feel sympathy.
The sad expression the girl gave Astra bewildered her, making her step back at the odd response. She thought she would retaliate and seek revenge—but no. She looked deep into her sister's eyes, and all she saw was sadness and pain. It seemed so real and genuine, which almost made her stop from what she was about to do.
However, a sudden throbbing sensation in her head knocked her back to her senses, as it indicated that her powers were weakening. She needs the core in (y/n) as soon as possible, as she shook her head to regain her focus.
"You're going to give me my mother's power core, and I don't care if you die or not." Astra simply stated with a straight face, as she poured all of her remaining magic in the Extractor. (y/n) screams was inaudible to her, as the girl inside felt her insides being ripped and shredded; her mind splitting. She started crying out blood and fell on her knees, feeling short of breath.
"I'll take every fiber of magic you have in you, even if I have to tear you apart. Let's see if your half-demon and half-human blood can save you from that."
* * * *
Kayla, Killua and Gon successfully infiltrated into the gates of hell, knocking Royien unconscious at the same time.
"We're here." Killua muttered in a low voice, not letting his guard down for even a second. The three of them immediately searched for a hiding spot at the unfamiliar destination. The aura and atmosphere in the Underworld was truly a different one, and it made them feel uneasy.
"Do you know where we are?" Gon whispered, his eyes wandering around, inspecting the area. Their surroundings was mainly dark and gloomy, as green and yellow light filled their sight as light.
"Yes." Kayla simply answered. "Follow me," She added as she started walking with inaudible steps.
"You do? You've been here?" The silver haired assassin surprisingly asked, rattled to acknowledge the fact the girl has actually been in the Underworld.
"...Yes." She simply replied again, but a little bit hesitant. The two boys just remained following Kayla, who seemed to be knowledgeable about the turns and way around the said realm.
"How?" Gon entered the conversation, curious as well to why was that possible. She did mention having a demon as a father, but she never said anything about the fact that she knows the existence of such world.
"I..." Kayla tried to push words out of her mouth, but her lips quivered instead at the memories she was not rather fond of. "I was brought here before by Royien." She finally answered, after a few seconds of silence.
"Why? If you did, you would've known about Astra's identity, right? But you said before that you didn't. I don't get it. Is there something that you're not telling us?" As sharp as ever, Killua was able to tell that there was something off about Kayla the whole time. It wasn't bothering not only her, but also them.
"It's—"
"Let me go! Ugh!" Interrupting Kayla's sentence, a female voice shouted out; which they all recognized very clearly—especially Gon. It was Riesha's.
"Come on, don't be like that. Let me feast on your beautiful body for a while, before I feed you to the Hydra." The demon servant gropped the binded girl's inner thigh, and licked his lips with malice lingering his eyes.
"Ahh! No! Don't touch me!!" Riesha continued to squirm from the magical ropes that held her in place. Despite being in her original state, her body somehow adapted her human form and it now resembled like one. Thus, her figure tempted the demon even more.
"You're an aggressive one, aren't you? That's a good negative emotion. Why don't we see if you'll still be as stubborn in be—"
Gon has heard enough. A flash of light instantly filled the room, and the male dashed towards the creature that has been lustfully touching his girlfriend in front him. Without second thoughts or words said, he landed a vigorous punch on the demon's body, and it's whole body exploded at the impact of his fist.
Demon blood splattered over all of them, as the nasty being lay on the ground in bits of pieces. "Hands off." He warned in a calm yet bleak voice. His eyes were dark and empty, unlike his usual ones.
Everyone was silent for a minute, startled at the sudden actions of the boy who they knew to be innocent and bubbly. Well, maybe not as much as before.
"...G-Gon??" Riesha broke the awkward silence in the air, as she stared at the demon-blood soaked male with his bloodlust leaking out of his body. But it instantly vanished at the sound of her soft voice travelling to his ears. He flinched at her call, and averted his brown orbs at her.
Light slowly filled up his eyes again, and pulled his girlfriend into his embrace. The rope that was trapping Riesha slowly diffused, and shakingly returned the hug.
"Are you okay?? He didn't touch you anymore as he should, did he??" Gon questioned without pulling out of each other's arms, as worry seeped in his voice.
"N-No, I'm fine. T-Thank y-you..." Riesha responded with a faint yet happy smile, as she clinged tighter to her boyfriend. "And... I'm so s-sorry..." Tears started to stream down on her cheeks, as the fear she pushed away earlier came out. She was scared and terrified. She didn't know what would've happen if they didn't arrive. Riesha was also petrified at the fact that Gon knows about her true identity and her pretty little lies.
Gon could feel her whole body shivering; her knees shuddering. He held her steady, and allowed her to lean her whole weight on him. He knelt down to let the girl rest easy and cry, as Kayla and Killua slowly walked towards the couple.
"I'm so sorry, Gon... I shouldn't kept it from you, and told you from the start. I'm such a horrible person..." Riesha wailed out, her hands clutching Gon's clothing. The boy just patted her back and planted a kiss on her forehead.
"Shh, please don't cry. You're not horrible, okay?" Gon added as he continued comforting his girlfriend with his gentle touch. "You can tell me everything once this is all over."
They mildly pushed each other out from the hug, and warmly smiled together. He wiped away her tears as he examined her appearance, which was quite new in his sight. She might may look different with her true form, but she was still the girl he loved in his eyes. Gon calmed her down, and asked her if she was now alright.
Riesha just nodded in response and averted her eyes to Kayla and Killua, who were standing behind Gon. She was about to react as to why Kayla was with them, but the moment she saw the assassin—her focus was back to the serious situation at hand.
"We need to save (y/n)." She simply stated with her eyebrows furrowed, and Gon assisted her as they both stood up. "Astra is going to take the core from her. And we need to stop that or else, (y/n) will die."
Killua's heart sank at her words. He clenched both of his fists, as he felt every fiber of his body wanting to run to (y/n) and take her back in his arms.
"Take us to her." He composedly requested, despite his heart beat racing with fear of what Astra might do to (y/n). Riesha just nodded with a stern face, and gestured the three to follow her to the Queen's lair.
When they arrived at the front door of Astra's room, swarms of wild demons blocked the pathway. There were hundreds of them, roaring and snarling at the group. With Killua and Gon at the front; the two girls at the back, they took steps backwards, alarmed at the number of enemies.
"Kayla, Riesha, you two go on ahead and stop Astra. Gon and I will make way for the both of you," The white haired assassin instructed, as the girls nodded in affirmation. "We will go in after we deal with these creatures." He finished and he turned on his Godspeed, as his whole body lit up with lightning energy.
"Ready to kick some demon ass, Gon?" Killua playfully remarked, giving a slight mischievous smirk as his blue eyes scanned the growling demons in front of them.
"I already did," Gon responded with a faint chuckle, referring to the one he smashed into pieces earlier. The assassin let out a quiet snicker at his statement, while Gon let out his Nen out of his body. They charged straight in the middle of the horde of monsters, aiming for the door that leads to (y/n).
The two boys swiftly evaded the demon's attacks, and knocked them out with a punch or a two. They were pretty weak compared to Royien and Astra, so they cleared out the first wave of the underworld creatures easily. They advanced effortlessly, as Kayla and Riesha followed behind them. They also covered for the boys, defending their backs from the other demons who tried to attack their blindside.
"Stop them!!" The largest demon that stood by the gate angrily roared at the smaller ones, ordering them to halt the group moving in closer. They did, but Killua and Gon was too strong for them. As Gon landed a solid and robust punch on one demon, he sent it flying along the numerous fellow creatures behind him.
They scattered and blocked the larger demon's view, giving Killua an opportunity to attack. In a bright flash, Killua sprung from his feet and plunged forward with his nails sharpened. With his whole arm reinforced by his lighting nen, he pierced his hand into the chest of the demon, and electrocuted it from the inside.
The underworld beast flickered his eyes as his limbs twitched at the electricity in his flesh, making his heart stop after a few seconds. Killua pulled his hand away, pushing the creature away from the entrance.
There were still few demons that remained so Kayla and Riesha headed in Astra's room first, while the boys finish them off. Kayla pushed the doors wide open, and their eyes landed on the Extractor that ran on Astra's power.
"(y/n)!!" Riesha yelled out of worry, as she saw her friend inside the glass, floating in the air with her head tilted backwards. Her hands and legs dangled down, as her back was arched outward with a green light surrounding her chest area. It was connected to the queen's body, as a thin line of magic passed through the thick glass, signifying that Astra was already taking the core from her sister.
Killua flinched at Riesha's scream, as he and Gon delivered the final blow on the last enemies. Instantly, he went inside the room. He saw Riesha conjuring 5 weapons mid-air, revealing that she was a conjurer and ready to attack Astra from behind. He also saw the unconscious (y/n) in the machinery, blood stained her face and clothes. His forehead creased, and anger darkened his vision.
Just before the queen could react on the sound the girl made, Riesha swung her right arm forward, as the five arsenals flew hastily towards Astra. A spear striked her shoulder, as another one stabbed her legs and knees.
"AHH!!" She exclaimed loudly, which disrupted her focus on the transfer of the core and fell on the ground. The extraction ceased, and (y/n) dropped on the bottom of the container. Gon then entered the room and joined his friends, arriving at a confusing scenario.
At the moment of vulnerability Astra showed, Killua promptly ran towards her and landed an aggressive kick right in her face. The quick and strong impact sent her flying across the chamber, and Riesha's weapons got detached from her limbs as she hit the stone wall.
Kayla made a follow up move and activated her powers, slitting up a wound to make her blood come out and drip on the ground. Since she knew there were a lot of dead bodies hidden around the Underworld, she used it to her advantage. Various dead demons stretched their hands from the wall Astra got stuck in, and held her in place.
"Ugh!! Let me go!" The queen tried to take off the flimsy, decomposed hands, but Kayla pulled up more arms that kept her from moving. Her powers, The Dancing Dead, manipulated the dead demons hidden in her walls and restrained her completely. With Astra's magic drained, she wouldn't be able to regenerate that efficiently. Kayla was able to buy them some time.
"Go! I'll hold her off. Hurry and take (y/n) out of here!" She remarked with a pained expression, her blood continuously flowing out to keep her Nen activated. The three nodded, and swiftly ran to the glass bowl (y/n) was trapped inside. She was still unconscious, but the machine somehow remained sucking out the core from her.
"(y/n)! Hang in there!" Killua banged his fists on the glass, as Riesha and Gon looked around the enormous apparatus for an off button. Killua did the same, also trying to find a way in the container to free (y/n).
"How is this still running?? Astra's over there," Gon stated with dismay, as his girlfriend conjured an axe in hopes to stop the operation by shattering the control stand.
"It's probably because her powers are still in the engine," Riesha answered the boy with a deep exhale, as she figured out wrecking the stand wasn't enough to stop the extraction. "We need to destroy the engine itself." She gave the two boys a look, signaling them to crush it all together. They nodded in agreement, and leaned down to see the engine purring in motion.
"On my count," Killua started, determined to toast that machinery with his electricity and shut it down for good. Gon charged his fist with his enhanced nen, and Riesha raised her axe in confirmation.
"1... 2... 3!" At the count of three, they released their individual attacks towards the instrument. Loud noises of crashing and exploding emitted from it, and finally stopped from functioning.
"NOO!!" Astra screamed in utter anguish, as she watched her years of work crumble right in front of her eyes. Her blood boiled at the teenagers sabotaging her plan, and thrashing her lair. With the Extractor failing, her powers were slowly returning in her body.
"G-Guys... Please do it a little b-bit faster, I can't hold her much l-longer..." Kayla grunted as she felt the demon queen's strength being restored. She pressed unto her fresh cut to make more blood flow out, giving the arms just enough power to buy them more time. She whimpered in pain, but she endured it. She suffered a lot more painful things than this.
Since the thick glass wasn't reinforced with magic anymore, they could simply break it with several hits. Riesha made weapons for the two to crack the glass with, and they started heavily striking it. A few seconds later, they opened up a hole, big enough for a person to fit in.
Killua lets go of the weapon, and hastily entered the container. His eyes gazed on the injured (y/n), blood all over her face. He bit his lower lip in frustration and anger, as he quickly lifted her up in his arms. When he came out, Riesha immediately checked if the girl still have a heartbeat, and thankfully she has.
"Stop, you swines!! (y/n) is mine! You can't take—" Before Astra could finish her threats, she suddenly coughed out blood and felt her energy depleting. It must have been the prompt and excessive use of her limited powers, and it was starting to take toll on her. She has been reckless on her usage, since she thought she would be getting the core from (y/n).
"Come on, Kayla! Let's go!" Riesha called out to the girl, as she was hesitant to leave Astra alone. She knew that the queen was going to follow them, but she also acknowledged the fact that she's weakened now. The thought of defeating her once and for all entered her mind, but got interrupted by an ominous aura coming from above.
"Watch out!" Kayla abruptly pushed Riesha out of the away, as she sensed a familiar presence landing right above them. The ceiling crashed down, burying Kayla in the debris from the wreckage.
"How dare you lay hands on Queen Astra, you vile mortals!" Royien's voice roared around the whole chamber, as he barged through the roof and landed on ground with a loud thud. His form was even bigger than before, stronger than the last time they saw him. It seemed that he had his share of power from Astra.
"Riesha!" Gon ran to the girl with widen eyes, and pulled her close to him and Killua, wary of the arrival of the new enemy. Riesha's gaze remained at debris Kayla got caught in, realizing that she would in her place if it wasn't for her quick reaction.
"Seize them, Royien! Take back (y/n) at all cost!!" Astra, who was still subdued by Kayla's powers, sharply yelled her orders and coughed again afterwards. He growled in response, and diverted his attention to the group near the door.
Killua clenched his fists in irritation at the another hindrance, as he handed (y/n) to Gon to carry in his arms. "Go ahead and return to our realm. I'll stall him," He stated to his best friend, who was rattled at his request.
"What?! No, we're not leaving without you, Killua! Royien's even stronger now, and he cursed you before; rendered you powerless against him. You'll—"
"I know that, Gon! But someone has to stay and stop him from getting (y/n), or else this will all be for nothing. Now, get going!" With a heavy heart, he pushed Riesha and his friend out of the chamber, and closed the door.
"You want a rematch, huh, brat?" Royien remarked as he overheard the exchange of words between the assassin and his best friend. "Too bad, I'm not merciful as I am before. I have no antidote for this," His hand glowed dark red as a menancing bloodlust escaped him.
Killua didn't bothered responding, thinking that it would be just a waste of energy. He balled his fists as he let a stronger aura out his body, finally letting the anger he's been suppressing leaving his nerves.
Suddenly, a huge dead snake-like creature caught Royien by surprise, and wrapped its slimy body around his body. He fell flat on his face, which made Killua withdraw his Nen.
"You...can't stay...here..." Kayla slowly pushed the enormous pieces of rocks that buried her earlier, and stood up as her Nen shrouded her whole body. That what must have protected her from the debris.
She walked towards Killua, as she dusted the dirt off her clothes and handed him a box. He opened it and he raised an eyebrow in confusion, as it revealed a meduim-sized syringe. Puzzled, he looked back at Kayla, who was giving her arms more cut so that more blood would come out.
"You little—" Royien was about to attack them from behind, but the girl was able to summon an even more bigger demon, and held her father down temporarily.
"What is this, Kayla? Why did you stop me??" Killua questioned her actions, as he watched her making more wounds around her body to make her blood come out.
"That is a potion that can help (y/n). I don't have time to explain, but Riesha can," She replied as she slightly whimpered at the pain of her cuts. She closed the box and grasped Killua's hand that held the box. "Take this to her, and leave Royien to me." She said with a faint smile.
"Wha—wait, are you saying to leave you here?! Stop talking nonsense, Kayla. Together we can—"
"No, Killua, we can't." She abruptly interrupted his sentence, and pushed the box to touch his body, tellin him to keep it safe. "Look, a human body isn't built to last long here in the Underworld. You may feel okay for now, but if you stay here longer, there will be negative side-effects. Now, go and follow your friends back to the Human Realm. You promised you will protect (y/n), right? You can't do that from here." She explained with a deep exhale and squinted her eyes close.
"But—"
Interrupting him again, she suddenly leaned closer to Killua, cupping his face with her hands and gave him a small, quick kiss on his lips. Her face turned pink at her bold move, and then averted her gaze down. The assassin was taken aback by her action, speechless and confused. Before he could say anything, a manipulated dead demon arose from the ground and carried the boy.
"H-Hey! K-Kayla, what are you doing?!" Killua retorted as he saw that the creature was taking him away from the girl and heading towards the exit.
"I'm sorry for everything, Killua." Kayla just gave the silverrette a delicate and serene smile, and waved her hand as her puppet took the love of her life out the chambers. She ordered that one to take back the assassin to the human realm, to reunite him with Riesha and Gon.
She reverted her face to a blank expression, turned her back and faced her father; who was glaring at his daughter the whole time. "You wicked brat!! I didn't know you can be this troublesome... I should've eaten your soul years ago! How dare you meddle with our fight!" He yelled, and finally killing her puppets that has been holding him down.
"No, Royien." Her purple eyes gleamed in the dark atmosphere in the queen's lair, as her blood streamed down her limbs and summoned a lot of dead demon bodies around her as her puppets. "This is our fight."
