Forbidden Valley

Blaze was chained to a pole attached to a military jeep, the chains themselves fire proof to prevent her escape.

At this point, she was hungry, thirsty, tired and heart broken.

Blaze had lost her friend and failed to stop Lord Rai from attaining new power.

All seems lost now, even to the point of her friends being powerless to help.

Blaze soon felt someone trying to cut at the chains and looks down to see Espio.

She asks in a quiet panic. "What are you doing here? There's too many guards around here!"

Espio looks at her. "I am getting you out of here. We need to get our friends together and come up with a plan to defeat Rai."

Blaze nods. "Very well. It's about time our friends knew about this new enemy."

Before Blaze could taste freedom, Espio found himself surrounded by several armed soldiers.

Commander Trailing walks over to them. "Well, well, well, looks like we caught some of the hero's freedom loving friends."

Espio pulls a small throwing star out. "Do you really think Rai is going to just hand power over to you? Once you complete whatever goal you have, he will just dispose of you and your men."

Trailing smirks at the outnumbered ninja. "The old man is running on his last cells. By the time I am done with the world, he will be ready to pass onto the dust of the ground."

The old puma looks at the large field not far from the Field Village, the army of statues heading towards the local area. "Speak of the devil, there he is carrying out my orders as planned."

Espio and Blaze could only watch as the first shot from a statue blasts apart a house.

People run off in a panic as buildings get blown up into chunks of debris, some people getting pinned under several pounds of stone.

Blaze hisses at Trailing. "You monster! There's innocent people over there!"

The commander smirks at her. "Good. Humans are the enemy...so what better for target practice?"

Espio glares at him. "When So-"

Trailing interrupts him. "Your speedy friend is too busy and too cocky to deal with me. Dr Eggman is just a large distraction for us to sweep in and bring the new world order."

A soldier arrives from scouting. "Sir, the humans are fleeing the scene. What should we do?"

Trailing looks at him. "Join up with Rai's ninjas and prevent anyone from leaving the town."

The soldier leaves and gives out the orders as the two purple heroes see the chaos faraway.

Crowds of people were blocked from leaving the area as the statues started to demolish the area.

The citizens had to flee back into the village again, trapped on both sides from overwhelmingly large numbers.

There was nothing anyone could do to save them.

They were trapped in a slaughterhouse with no escape.

Suddenly, a blue blast of energy hits the ground at the soldiers and ninjas, launching many into the air.

Everyone is suddenly off guard at this and looks to see where it came from.

On a tree branch at the top of a hill was a figure perched on top of it, palm glowing from the power it held.

Blaze looks in hope of what it is. "Aura?"

Over at the statue army, Lord Rai glares up at him, seething at the return of his enemy's son.

He mutters. "How many times do I have to kill the same wolf before he stays dead?"

Aura jumps down from the branch and disappears into the thick underbrush below, setting up tension among the enemy.

Trailing orders some of his men. "Surround that area! I want that mutt shot to pieces at all costs!"

Multiple soldiers scout out the region, looking for any movement that was trying to reach the village.

One soldier is suddenly pulled down from below, his weapon firing everywhere when his finger slipped on the trigger.

Before his nearby partner could see that happen, a blur rushes him and knocks him into a tree.

Three soldiers rush to the sounds and get hit with shurikens, taking them down.

The commander orders more soldiers to search the area, but they weren't responding either.

Aura was somehow moving about the area and taking out more faster than any average ninja could.

Trailing knew he couldn't send the ones guarding the escape route to the village, so his only choice of action left was to let Aura come to him.

But that plan started to fail too, when a smoke bomb hits the area Trailing was in, covering the area up and leaving little vision.

As the soldiers coughed and tried to see where the enemy was, a shuriken is thrown at Blaze's chains, shattering them.

Espio takes out the men around them, with fireballs from Blaze keeping them from gathering together.

Trailing pulls out a pistol and aims around, trying to find the blue wolf.

Unfortunately for him, Aura was right behind him and quickly disarmed the old puma of his weapon.

Trailing's eyes widened when he saw Anzen in his arms, memories starting to return.

His left eye twitches as insanity starts to set in. "Orion's boy....lives? The runt's bloodline.....flourishes?"

Aura just stays unfazed by his dropping control over himself.

Trailing practically foams at the mouth and pulls out a sword. "I'll kill you! I'll kill you!"

Aura just hits a pressure point on Trailing's neck and flicks him back.

Two of Trailing's aides carry him onto the Jeep and drive away.

One of the aides radios all of the soldiers. "Commander Trailing is down! All forces withdraw! I repeat! All forces withdraw!"

The soldiers blocking the escape route fled the town, knowing that if the commander was defeated, the enemy was too strong for them to fight.

Military vehicles speed out of the Forbidden Valley, leaving only the Fallen to attack.

Lord Rai glares at the fleeing army. "Cowards! If you will not take advantage of this victory, then I will!"

Aura looks at Espio and Blaze. "Are you both alright?"

Espio nods. "Yes. What changed your mind?"

Aura answered. "You were right.... I need to bring justice for Ki and everyone I lost."

Blaze hugs him. "I thought you were gone forever! Do not scare me like that!"

Aura sighs. "I am sorry Blaze, I did not mean to make you feel this way. But I believe you scared me too into thinking you were dead as well, so you did get back at me anyways."

Blaze smiles at him. "I am just glad that you were never dead to begin with. But how did you survive?"

Before he could answer that, Cream appeared and took out a ninja trying to ambush them by just throwing Cheese at him.

Aura looks at her. "Cream?! What are you doing here?!"

Cream smiles. "I came to help, Mr Aura. I'm not going to just forget my new friend and let them get hurt."

Blaze goes over to her. "Cream, these men are more mean than a normal day against Eggman. It's too dangerous for you to be here."

Cream shook her head. "I'm not leaving until I help you guys beat that evil man over there."

Espio sighs. "If you can fight them from a distance, you can help. But do not get too close to the fight."

Cream smiles and nods. "Thank you."

Espio looks at Aura. "What is your plan?"

Aura tells him calmly. "I found some of the survivors of the attack on the monastery. They are willing to help us take out the Fallen ninjas, but we are on our own with the statues."

Blaze looks at the statue army in the distance. "Is there any weaknesses to those statues?"

Aura nods. "Yes. The shell surrounding the cores is softened every time they fire a blast. It's not thin enough for regular weapons, but extremely sharp blades and intense pressure should pierce it and leave it vulnerable to any attack."

Espio raised an eyebrow in puzzlement. "That's the plan? Try to get them to fire at us and have it miss us at the same time?"

Aura pulls out Anzen. "Yes. Though I learned that my father used Anzen on one without it firing once."

Blaze goes back to him. "How did you learn all of this?"

Aura shows them a scroll. "I read the history about them a year ago. Ki left this in my pocket before he died."

Cream points over at the village. "Lets go!"

10 minutes later....

Lord Rai finally decided that now was the time to finish the job, but he wanted it done as swiftly as possible.

He orders his personal ninjas. "Corral all of them into the center of the village! I will finish them all off in one fell swoop!"

They nod and start searching around to find all that are hiding, even dragging small children out of their homes.

Suddenly, what's leftover of the Fuji Clan ambush the blockade of ninjas outside the town, surprising the Fallen forces.

Cream stays in the rear of the small party, throwing Cheese at any who get too close to the allied ninjas.

One throw bounces off of five ninja before returning to Cream.

Aura, Blaze and Espio use the chaos to get into the Field Village undetected.

Aura whispers to them. "We need to get everyone out before we take on the statues. I suggest I draw the enemy to me while both of you take out any distracted with me. If you run into someone who needs help getting out, take out any ninja close by before rescuing them."

The two purple heroes nod and run off to different parts of the village.

Aura goes out into the middle of the village, catching all of the Fallen's attention.

Aura pulls out Anzen and stares ahead at the statues.

Lord Rai gives new orders to his team. "I want every single ninja we have to attack that runt!"

They all run at Aura, blades drawn to meet with the blue ninja's staff.

Aura immediately counters the first enemy to approach him, striking enemies in different directions with his agility and speed.

He jumps up high and rains down shurikens on the crowd gathering around him, forcing a lot of them to pull back and resort to using ranged weaponry.

Aura realizes he used up the last of his throwing weapons, meaning he could only fight ranged with his special form.

He focuses and turns into his new form in the blink of an eye, surprising the enemy and leaving them open to Blaze and Espio's planned sneak attack positions.

Aura blasts them with spheres of aura and takes out one that tried to ambush him from behind with a swing of Anzen to the head.

The blue wolf runs over to someone trapped under rocks and helps them out, carefully leading the man to cover not far away.

Aura needed to use this window of opportunity to get as many people out as he could.

Thankfully, the River Village was sending doctors over to treat those that were harmed, but they can't enter the village themselves due to how dangerous it was.

As luck would have it, Aura's distraction had given Blaze and Espio plenty of time to get most of the village out of the area.

The blue warrior was just going to have to rescue the hard to reach ones on his own.

The Fallen ninja start using leftover guns that Trailing's soldiers left behind in their retreat.

Aura sees them aiming at him runs to get away from the bullets zooming past him.

He wall jumps between two buildings, narrowly missing shots aimed right at his jumping points.

The blue canine runs across the rooftops, dodging with flips, slides and rolls to avoid rapid fire from automatic guns.

He tries to deflect some of the shots he couldn't dodge, but he started to get too many guns on him at once eventually.

Just when he was about to get overwhelmed, Blaze sets the enemy positions on fire, destroying ammunitions and sending some running away in panic while on fire.

Espio used his camouflage power to sneak behind the backs of the isolated Fallen and knock them out.

After Aura got someone off the roof, he jumped down and blasted a way out for people trapped inside a house.

Aura detected one more person needed saving, but the statues were closing in on them.

He gets back to the rooftops and dashes across town as fast as his new form could take him, jumping across a street just in time before a blast from a statue takes out the building he jumped off of.

Aura breaks through the window and finds a young boy stuck under his bed, which collapsed on him when debris fell from the ceiling.

The blue warrior blasts all of it off in one shot before lifting the kid onto his shoulders.

One of the statues fires a long beam, cutting through the bottom of the building they're in.

Aura holds onto the boy carefully as the building leans down from the lack of support.

He turns around and runs against gravity, kicking a piece of furniture that tried to hit his head.

Aura jumps high into the air, landing softly in a flower bed and handing the kid to a doctor who was just leaving the area.

That was everyone of the citizens out of harm's way.

Aura, Blaze and Espio join your together and make a straight path for Lord Rai and the statues.

The dark lord starts sending some of them after the heroes, confident that they would be taken down before they reach him.

Blaze starts heating up a lot of the statues to weaken their armor, specifically at their chest shells.

Espio throws a volley of weapons at them before unleashing different techniques and combos on their cores.

Blaze kicks one so hard, it crashes into five others before they all blow up from their attempt to release the energy.

Aura takes on seven of them at once and blocks attacks from all angles.

He decides to make it more brutal by charging his fists and feet up with aura to the point of it being painfully hot, landing hits across the chests and torsos multiple times.

When the armor was hot enough, he stabs each statue with Anzen, then jumping at one he didn't heat up and impale it with the weapon.

One statue gets lucky, however, and breaks Anzen into a few pieces, leaving Aura weaponless for a while.

He dodges strike after strike, getting backed into a corner by the metal opponent, but he managed to make the fight last longer than five minutes.

Anzen quickly reassembles back into Aura's hands, just in time for him to stab the statue through the chest.

The three heroes run straight for Lord Rai, about to end the fear filled rule once and for all.

Lord Rai commands the statues to fire full blast on the village, wanting to stop Aura in his tracks.

Lord Rai's second in command calls him from his position. "Master! If you do that, you'll kill us too!"

The dark master smirks darkly. "I know...and I do not care."

The three heroes close in on him, ready to attack.

Suddenly, all remaining statues charge up their energy, their bright glow aiming at Aura.

Blaze runs to him and shoved him out of the way.

KABOOM!!!!!!

The combined blast from all statues shake the ground and send a massive shockwave across the valley.

Aura, Espio, Blaze and the last of the Fuji Clan are sent flying from the attack.

Aura blacks out the moment the huge blast hit.

This was the probably the longest chapter I've ever done.
