Normal POV (evening)

Kaiju Monastery

Aura returns to the monastery and reaches the room Oona was in.

Oona asks him. "Did you get it?"

Aura shook his head and lowers it in shame for knowing he failed his friend.

Oona looks at him with worry after seeing the dried red stains on his paws.

Aura asks her. "Where is Suzuki now?"

Oona answers. "He went to the new home he had bought recently with his girlfriend. All we can hope is that his body can fight the drug."

Aura nods as the mood calmed down some.

But the peace was ruined when Suzuki ran in.

He calls out. "Aura! Where are you?"

Aura walks to where he is. "Right here, Suzuki. What troubles you?"

Suzuki immediately hugs Aura and lets tears flow. "My........my home......someone bought the land and tore it down......I don't have a home now...."

Aura tries to comfort him the best he can. "I'm sorry, Suzuki."

Suzuki mutters. "It's all the River Village's fault."

Aura looks at him confused. "How is it their fault?"

He answered. "I found a sign that said it was bought out by a company called Breeze Media. They made a deal with them behind everyone's backs."

Aura went to look out the window, and Suzuki was right.

A sold sign was standing where the house should've been.

Someone outside had discovered the valley!

Aura looks at him. "We can stop this Suzuki. We just need to find their main data bank and get rid of any records of them owning the land."

Suzuki calms down and nods a little. "Yeah....I'll get my weapons and meet you outside."

Aura went to get ready himself, but he got interrupted again.

This time, it was Suzuki's girlfriend, Yua, walked in.

Yua asked him. "Aura, have you seen Suzuki? I was going to tell him some news."

Aura nods. "He went to get his weapons ready, we are going on our own mission."

Yua sighs. "I was going to tell him that I just found out the purchase on the land was a scam."

Aura's eyes widened. "What?! Then what was that?"

Yua answers. "It was a scam artist who tricked the owner with fake money. By the time they found out it was fake, the house was already torn down."

Aura was now on alert, realizing that something set this up for a reason.

Yua asks. "Was there something about that I should know?"

Aura points down a hallway. "Suzuki is over there."

Yua bows before leaving. "Thank you Aura-san."

Aura went to go find Blaze to see if she was alright.

Before he could get there, he encountered Ki in the hallway.

Ki looked at Aura with a stern face of disappointment. "You disobeyed my orders Aura. Do you even know the consequences of your actions?"

Aura glares at him. "If you had gotten everyone together immediately instead of waiting, I would have gotten the cure for Suzuki."

Ki walks toward. "So I am the one to blame for your own impatience and foolery? You just recklessly risked several of Chun nan's population with that stunt you pulled."

Aura starts to shout. "It was that or just stand there to watch my friend become a monster! You should know what I would rather pick! You do not even care for your own students well-being!"

Ki shouts back. "How dare you! I spare you from starvation and your own despair, and you treat this as if I have no heart?! You have been ungracious and rebellious to all of us!"

Aura answered back with pure venom. "And you are a foolish old man who's lied to me since I was a kid! You hid my past from me and expected me to be your little pet student! YOU ARE NOTHING TO ME!!!"

Ki's eyes widened as he stepped back, the words harming him more than what his past did.

Aura's looks at him, his face shifting to regret and sorrow when he realizes what he's done.

One of the ninja nearby spots something on Aura's neck and pulls it out.

It was a black circle with a blinking red light.

Someone had planted a tracker on Aura!

Ki looks at it and back at Aura. "What have you done?"

Aura backs away in fear after realizing what happened.

Suddenly, the walls near them blow up from explosives planted outside!

The one of Fuji ninja recovers and looks at the hole. "Aura led the Fallen's allies to us!"

The monastery was swarmed with soldiers and Fallen ninja attacking the place.

Many Fuji ninja fight back, but lots of them were either gunned down or chopped to pieces.

Aura and Ki get up and start fighting some of them.

Ki looks at Aura. "Go to the sacred treasure room and get the Scroll of the Mountain! It is the only thing that can repel these numbers!"

Aura looks at Ki. "Ki....I didn't mean-"

Ki answers. "We can discuss this later! Now go!"

Aura nods and runs off towards the sacred treasure room.

Meanwhile....

Suzuki was with Tanya in the weapon room when the explosion went off.

Tanya looks at him. "We are under attack!"

Suzuki smirks. "Then let's go knock some heads!"

The two run down the hallways, trying to get to the action.

When they reached a certain point, Tanya spoke up. "Wait! We can stop this if we get to the treasure room!"

Suzuki shook his head. "No. We need to get to our friends and help. Aura and Ki are fighting hard and Yua is probably trouble."

Tanya points in the direction of the treasure room. "But they could be stopped quicker if we go this way!"

Suzuki backs up, confused a little. "What are you up to Tanya?"

Tanya groans. "Nothing is wrong Suzuki!"

Suzuki crosses his arms. "You don't think I've noticed your behavior change? The seriousness everywhere you go, the killings and the stubbornness all screams that you're hiding something!"

Tanya sighed. "I'm sorry....Suzuki..."

She immediately hit him at a pressure point and kicked him into the ground unconscious.

Back with Ki....

He had fought off a good number of ninjas and soldiers, leaving a mess everywhere.

The same dark voice he remembered centuries ago was heard. "Time has not treated you well, old man."

Ki looked and saw the one person he had hoped not to see: Lord Rai.

Ki got his bamboo staff ready. "Neither has it for you."

Lord Rai chuckles. "Ironic, isn't it? Whenever you get a valued student.....they always betray you and leave you for dead."

Ki sighs. "You never realized that value was an understatement to what I thought of you when you were a young boy."

Lord Rai raised an eyebrow. "If you had cared that much about me, you would have joined my cause."

Ki shook his head. "No. The lives of this universe still have much more to offer. Ending it now will only be a waste of future destinies."

Lord Rai's fists glow purple. "Then this ruin will be your tomb!"

Ki twirls his staff around and got it in a defensive position. "Not if I have anything to say about it!"

Ki surrounds his staff in a golden light and jumps at him.

The two clash in a blinding light as they strike at each other in lightning speed.

Back with Aura....

Aura ran to the treasure room until he finally reached it.

Waiting there was Tanya, holding a torch near oil that was poured all over the treasure.

Aura looks at her in confusion. "Tanya? What are you doing here?"

Tanya answers plainly. "What I am destined to do."

She dropped the torch on the oil, setting it on fire.

Aura looked on in shock as all of the valuable relics were burning up in flames.

Aura yells at her. "Why did you do it?! We need that to stop Lord Rai!"

Tanya answers. "Because I was born to do it."

She takes off part of her sleeve...

...revealing the Fallen symbol!

Tanya was one of the Fallen!

Aura looks on in horror at this.

Tanya speaks again. "My parents were part of the Fallen. When I was born, Lord Rai told them to leave me at the monastery as a spy to watch over Ki's students. I never knew this until I turned 13. I was destined to be Rai's secret weapon and his means to victory."

Aura shook his head. "No! Your future is your own! Lord Rai has no control over what your destiny is!"

Tanya sighs. "I cannot betray him and my parents. They are my kin and the only thing I have left."

Aura answered back, feeling broken. "Tanya....please.....do not do this...."

She pulls out her katana. "Enough of this. I am ending it."

She dashes at Aura and slashes him.

Aura staggers back and pulls out Anzen to block another strike.

Back with Suzuki...

He weakly trudges down the broken hallways, trying to find Yua.

Suzuki's head was in overload from all the things that had happened so far.

His home being taken

His girlfriend missing

And now, Tanya back stabbed him when he least expected it.

His eyes were messed up some too, showing everything white and showing the Fallen ninja as black.

The more he fought the Fallen ninja as he walked, the more he started seeing black on Fuji ninja too.

He found something on the floor a few minutes later.

It was Yua's necklace!

Someone kidnapped her!

Normally, his mind would have rationally said that the Fallen has kidnapped her, but something else happened.

His mind started making up stories to justify attacking someone else.

In this case, he drove the blame even further.

He blamed the Fallen giving his girlfriend to the River Village, who sold her to be a slave to the outside world.

It didn't matter at this point if someone tried to prove him wrong.

Tanya's betrayal and the Nova Drug had made him unable to tell friend from foe!

Back to Aura...

Aura and Tanya fought each other to a hard and bitter end.

Aura was mostly holding back, feeling conflicted between anger, betrayal and pity.

Tanya went to cut at Aura's legs, but Aura flips over her and strikes her ribs.

Tanya fell to her knees as she felt her lungs get penetrated.

Aura looks at her. "It did not have to be this way, Tanya. There is still time for you to fix this."

Tanya could only let in weak breathes as she slowly passes out. "I....can't......"

Aura just looks at her in remorse. "You were my sister Tanya. I cared about you more than anyone."

Aura walks off as Tanya is left to her fate on the floor.

Later with Ki....

Him and Rai were matching even on blow for blow.

Unfortunately, Ki's age started to weaken him in the fight.

Lord Rai smirks at him. "Your time is at an end. You will be joining your mentor soon."

Ki glares at him. "Not until I end your reign, tyrant."

They clashed staff against fist again, each hit surging the place with raw power.

The purple flashes, though, were starting to become dominant in the fight.

Aura arrived to help Ki out, but the fight was almost over.

Ki went to immobilize Rai's arm, but Rai's opening was a fake.

Lord Rai hit him with a stunning kick to his gut, followed by a hard chop to Ki's spine.

Aura flinched as he heard it break and could almost feel it too.

Lord Rai grabs Ki and kicks him into the air before jumping up there to his level.

Aura shouts in vain. "No!"

Lord Rai pounded him with a dark aura punch so hard, it went through Ki.

Ki slammed into the ground, a massive crater left in the wake of the impact.

The monasteries' structure starts collapsing from the shockwave.

Lord Rai lands and looks at this moment in pride. "How the mighty have fallen."

Aura runs to Ki and holds him up.

Aura panics in this moment. "I'm sorry Ki, I should have listened to y-"

Ki shushes him. "Calm yourself....my friend......you could...not have foreseen this. Do you....remember when I said I would ask you to keep a promise?"

Aura nods as tears built up in his eyes. "Yes..."

Ki weakly breathes out. "My promise I want......is for you....... to live your own life........go beyond the valley..........and make your own family and memories. C.....Can you keep that promise?"

Aura was at the point of breaking. "I..... I will do everything.... I can to keep it."

Ki nods. "Good....try to stay in peace.... and find your own happiness...my son.........."

Aura felt Ki's pulse go down, his life fading away.

The blue wolf feels the same sadness he had when his parents died, mourning the passing of the one in his arms.

Lord Rai chuckles. "You really were this man's pet. You hated what he did....but you could not bring yourself to completely hate him."

Aura glares at him, hatred coming at full power.

Lord Rai had tricked him and played with everyone.

He drugged his friend.

Forced another into accepting a fate as the enemy.

Ruined his trust with his mentor only father figure left.

And he destroyed his home.

Lord Rai grins evilly. "I can feel your anger. My dark aura grows stronger with every second you show hatred towards me."

Aura turns into his special form and makes his fists glow blue. "I will make you suffer!"

He jumps at Rai and swings at him with a strong downwards strike.

It did nothing but temporarily shatter Anzen.

Lord Rai looks at him with amusement. "Is that your best move? I can wait here for you to hit me with more."

Aura growls and fires an aura sphere before following it up with an attempt to stab him.

Lord Rai just smacks the sphere, disintegrating it, before grabbing Aura by the throat.

The dark lord shows his true manipulative colors. "I only kept you alive because I knew the real truth about you. You.....were never meant to exist. You are an accident that the universe failed to remove. You failed in your previous life.....and now you have failed in this life. You are worthless to any reality."

He brings him closer to his void like eyes. "No one will ever love you."

Lord Rai throws him so hard, he crashes outside the monastery and tumbled down the stairs.

He kept going down, until Blaze finally found him and caught him, slowing their fall down with a burning tornado.

Blaze holds Aura when they landed. "Aura! Wake up!"

Aura wakes up slowly. "Blaze.....what happened?"

Blaze points in the direction of the Mountain Village. "Your home is under attack."

Normal POV

Mountain Village

Aura and Blaze arrive to find the people panicking to put out the burning buildings.

As Blaze went to calm the fires down, Aura looked for anyone in trouble.

No one was hurt, but the village was devastated.

The Mountain Village elder glares at Aura. "You!"

He ran over and punched Aura in the face.

Aura didn't do anything to stop it, just letting himself hit the muddy ground.

The elder yells at him. "You are the reason our homes are gone!"

Blaze came between them and threatened to burn the elder. "Stay away from my friend!"

Aura stood up and sighed. "Let him be Blaze. We need to rescue everyone. Stay here.....I'll go check the River Village."

He runs off as Blaze calls out to him.

Normal POV

River Village

Aura arrived as the River Village elder greeted him.

The River elder leads him through the place. "What happened on the mountain? I saw the place is destroyed, but one of them was still alive."

Aura sighs. "The clan....is no more..."

The River Village elder frowns in worry. "What?! What do we do? What are we going to do?"

Aura held him by the shoulders. "Did the Fallen start this fire like the Mountain Village?"

The River elder shook his head. "No....Suzuki did it."

Aura's eyes widened in fear. "What?!"

He answers back. "He ran through with a torch and burned the place. He also cut us off from the water we need to put out the fire."

Aura hears a woman's scream and ran to where it came from.

He saw a couple outside the local restaurant there, which was now in flames.

Aura remembered it as a place that had a good balcony view of the river since it hanged above it.

The man of the couple shouts to those who were scrambling to put out the fire. "Someone help! My daughter is still inside!"

Aura was about to go in, but the River elder grabbed his arm. "Don't go in there! If you can't make it in time, the cooking oil will strengthen the fire and you'll die inside!"

The blue wolf looks at him with a serious face. "The chef's daughter is still in there.....someone has to help."

Aura ran over and jumped through the window, starting his search for the girl stuck inside.

He turns into his special form and uses his new sense to find her.

He detected fear up on the second floor, hurrying up the stairs as the place was ablaze.

He found the chef's daughter, hiding in a corner with ash all over her and torn clothes.

She backs up when she saw him, afraid of the tall and intimidating dog in front of her.

Aura uses telepathy to talk with her. 'I will not hurt you. I am here to take you back to your father.'

He makes a blue light with his powers, calming the girl down enough to look in awe of it.

Aura picks her up. 'Let's get you home.'

He hurried out as the place started to collapse around them.

The stairway was blocked when debris fell onto it.

Aura looks at the floor below before looking at the girl. 'Hang on tight!'

She clings on for dear life as Aura jumps to the first floor.

Aura lands safely, only to find the window used to enter was blocked.

He charges a powerful sphere and blasts the door.

Unfortunately, more debris fell down and left a small hole in the entrance.

Aura gets her through the hole, with the father early grabbing her and getting her away from the building.

The blue wolf tries to make an escape himself, but the ground shakes beneath him.

The support beams that held the building above the water were giving in.

Blaze arrived and saw Aura was inside, rushing to go rescue him.

But....it was too late...

The restaurant completely falls into the river...

...with Aura still inside.

Aura loses consciousness when the building hit the water.

Blaze shouts out in terror. "Aura!"

Normal POV

Forbidden Valley outskirts

A Fallen ninja reports to Lord Rai. "Both the River Village and the Mountain Village have been burned to the ground."

Lord Rai nods. "Excellent. Report to our commander that it is safe to come here."

The ninja bows and leaves.

Lord Rai looks at the destroyed monastery and smirks evilly. "Checkmate..."
