"Maya!" I yell impatiently while waiting for my daughter to wake up for school.
No reply.

"Ugh, whatever miss your bus, Idon't care. I just thought you would want to have good grades for once." I still am waiting for some very odd reason that even I don't know. "Well I have to go to Ohio now so goodbye, Maya Maya." I must go to Ohio, like the many other states I had to travel to, for a new job.

"Dad! Dad!" Miles yells. He's running toward me so fast it's like I should wear a cup when I wake him up in the morning.

"Yeah Mi?" I brace myself for his huge hug.

"I'm gonna miss you" He says with such sadness that I almost tear up. He releases his hug from me and looks me in the eyes with his hazel puppy dog eyes. It's like he's trying to make me feel bad for leaving.

"I'm only going to be gone for a couple of days."
"I know but still."
"Awww come 'ere buddy," and he comes rushing over to me and throws his arms around me like a sack of potatoes being thrown over my back. I lift him off the ground and give him my hugest goodbye hug ever. "I love you," I tell him making sure he knows I'm not leaving because I want to, but because I have to.

I make sure to kiss my wife, Karen before leaving. She sighs and asks me when I'm ever going to stop floating between jobs. I then grab my stuff, walk out the door, get into my car, pull out of the driveway, wave goodbye to my son, and then accidentally hit our mailbox. Again.

"Well shit," I always hit the mailbox. It's right by my car when I'm pulling in and out.

Without caring about the damn mailbox I drive normally in my car to Ohio.
