Park Jimin

11:45 p.m.

The nurse girl, Heiji kept on texting me quite frequently today, asking if I was doing okay because I kept rejecting her offer to meet up. I knew that she just wanted to give me back the jacket I lent him. I should had just—

*******09 is calling

I recognised the number, it was Heiji. I sighed before answering the call.

She sounded excited when I answered the call. "You finally picked up," she said softly, "Can we meet? I just want to—"

"Give me back the jacket?" I asked. She was surprised that I cut her off from talking so she stopped talking for a few seconds.

Clearing her throat, she said, "Yes."

I sighed. She was making it hard for me. "You know what? Just keep the jacket. It doesn't fit me anymore anyways." I told her and was about to end the call but then I decided to add something, "Or if you don't want it, just throw it away. And from now on, stop contacting me."

I finally ended the call.

Her heart would probably broken after what I said. But that was normal for me. Because I had never really care about people's feelings. I grew up being taught to only prioritise my needs and my aims.

No one matters more than my own needs.

Heiji was left speechless by Jimin's words because she was genuinely excited to meet him. She thought he already considered her as someone he was comfortable with. At least. Because she knew, it would take her a lot of time, effort and trust to make him see her as a friend.

But it didn't go like how she expected.

After he just casually hung up the call without feeling sorry to her, she could feel her heart slowly breaking. It hurts, it really did.

And surprisingly, it was her first time to feel that way. Because Taehyung never did something that would hurt or offend her like Jimin did. Taehyung never made Heiji going through something hurting. Instead, he was the one who would always be there whenever she needs him.

But the difference here was; she couldn't meet Taehyung anymore. They couldn't be meeting each other for a few weeks— or probably months. Not until he caught the most wanted mafias and criminals.

She sat on the chair near her and held her chest. The feeling was unusual. It was weird to feel something hot as if something was burning inside your chest. The way it ached was indescribable.

She kinda expected that kind of reaction from Jimin. But she didn't expect that he would be that harsh to her, after all they had done before. Yes, they weren't that close after all, but Jimin made Heiji confused of his actions.

He always saved her— caring about her and sometimes, he was really nice to her.

Heiji couldn't deny the fact that his actions had somehow gave a hope to her. A hint.

"He didn't have to be so mean," she mumbled with tears in her eyes.

Watch your words,
You never know how many times someone would cry over it,
Because words can be sharper than knives.

Yoongi decided to come over Jimin's place, just to check up on him. He didn't update anything to him so he was kind of worried.

Jimin recently gave him an extra key of his apartment. He didn't use the code password for his apartment because a hacker could just easily break the codes.

So when Yoongi got into his apartment, he looked around and noticed that his house looked like no one was home. He stepped forward and called for him. "Jimin? Are you home?" He yelled a bit and received no answers.

He assumed that Jimin wasn't home. He didn't get into Jimin's room to check because he respects his privacy. Jimin was a very private person so he didn't want to disrespect him.

"Where did he go?" He mumbled before sitting on the couch. "He didn't tell me anything," he mumbled.

11:35 p.m.

Jimin was out to a small stall that was located a few feet away from his apartment building. He went there to grab some shots of soju.

He wasn't the type of a person who gets drunk easily so having a few bottles of soju at one go was nothing for him. But he was still aware that he had to always be careful in case Ruan's people were out to put their eyes on him.

The waiter came and gave him another bottle of soju since he asked for another one. He already had two bottles. As per mentioned before, he doesn't get drunk easily with soju. Unless he drinks something stronger like wine, vodka or tequila.

He looked around, looking at people. Some of them were alone, looking so broken as if they were just broken up with their partners. Some of them were acting lovey dovey with their partners, smiling widely as if there was no tomorrow.

He sighed softly. "How does it feel to be normal?" He asked himself. "I guess I would never know." He gritted his teeth before taking another shot of soju.

We all know that deep inside his heart, he wanted to be happy with someone he loves. He wanted to have a partner like everyone else. He envied seeing people being all lovely with their partners when he— had nobody. Yes. He could just simply get himself a girlfriend. Of course. But he didn't want to. It would be too risky for him to have someone special. Because he knew, at the end of the day, he would blame himself if anything happens to them.

And at this moment, his only priority was to pay revenge to Lee Ruan. It was his only aim and mission. He didn't want to focus on anything else.

"Tsk," he scoffed to himself. "I'm so pathetic." He mumbled.

"Where were you?" Yoongi asked the younger man who just got back from drinking soju. Looking at how his cheeks were slightly pinkish, he sighed. "Did you go out drinking?"

Jimin yawned. It was 1:15 in the morning. "Just some shots of soju." He answered while walking towards his room.

Yoongi sighed at his answer, knowing him well that he would only go out drinking if anything was wrong or he was feeling uneasy. "What's wrong? Tell me." He spoke while looking at Jimin through his room door that wasn't closed.

"Is that because of the nurse girl?"

Jimin scoffed. "Stop bringing her up. She has nothing to do with me." He covered his face with a pillow. "Besides I've told her to stop contacting me." He added.

On the other side, Yoongi just stayed quite for a moment before saying, "That's good."

"Yeah," Jimin stated as tears slowly rolling down without his realisation.
